About a year ago I started to learn mountain biking. My friend who mountain bikes competitively told me, "Be careful mountain biking, everything in your life will change once you start mountain biking." Now it's a whole year later and mountain biking has become a way of life and a way to connect to myself as person with a passion where my frame and wheels hit the dirt and I glide along the paths created by nature to please my crave for speed, skill, motivation, and most importantly beauty.

Ah yes 2013 a much simpler time back when 26" was the dominant wheel size, everyone wanted a demo 8, and Cam Zink landed one of the biggest backflips in mtb history.

When things are not going well and the stress of work overwhelms me. I watch this clip over and over again...and it reminds me why I work and that is so I can afford to enjoy what I do outside of work..that's my family and MTB. RIDE ON brothers and sisters!!!!!!!!!

I never got the racing part of downhill... To me this sport was never a contest. It's a pure me zone. Everything else is off the radar while I'm coming down that mountain. If I see a nice jump that slows me down I'll take it in heartbeat.
Competing for time just seems to take the fun out of it for me.
8 years later and still loving this video like the first day I saw it!
