Even Lupe admits Kendrick is the better artist while Lupe is the better lyricist, but I think some people hear that and think "oh you're saying Kendrick is a bad lyricist?" No. Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses. Lupe can still make radio friendly stuff but that hasnt been his focus for a long time. He just wants to push himself and his lyricism as far as it can go. No one is perfect its fine. Kendrick is still amazing Lyrically in his own right but hes not trying to do what Lupe does. They are in two different lanes with how they want to express their creativity. Just cause Lupe is better lyrically doesnt make Kendrick worse

@onemoney2show he RECENTLY said Kendrick ain't a top tier lyricist. He's said that consistently. No one thinks he is. People just ride with him cause he's an industry plant and they don't wanna get black balled. But Lupe has already been black balled so he don't give af and he just says what's real
That is exactly what I said in my original comment. Lupe is better lyrically but Dot is better artistically.
@onemoney2show Kendrick is better than Lupe at anything. Not lyricism. Not flow. Not swag. Presence. Delivery. Schemes. Cadences. Golf, basketball, skateboarding. Martial arts. Math. English. Science. Finance. Nothing. Lupe is too advanced for the average block hustler and gang member so he won't reach as many people, but the content cannot be touched.
Lupe isn’t the greatest lyricist…though he is a great one, and one of my favorite.

@@derekhakeem8 I think Aesop Rock is better. I also think illogic (not Logic), is better. I think Doseone is also better (though he doesn’t rap that much these days). DOOM was better as well…Myka 9 is better.
But my favorites? Greydon Square, Los (King Los), Lupe (of course), A-F-R-0, Cambatta, Snow as well as and Yazi (as for female artist), etc…as well as the other ones mentioned (except Doseone). But Aesop Rock if I had to choose one

Be sure to tell Lupe that his own opinion is invalid because you put him on a higher pedestal than he puts himself. He has even stated that he thinks Kdot is the better artist of the two, but that he is the better pure lyricist out of the pair.
@ItsADudeInARoom Lupe got grilled for saying he would wash Ducky and he never backed down. He doesn't believe Ducky is a better artist. Not one bit. He just throws you guys some bones so you don't freak the fuck out over the reality that Ducky is not very good at rapping when compared to the greats. It's not an argument he wants to have because he realizes how brain dead the masses are and he doesn't see the value in arguing with a brick wall. You can't save the world. Let em all sleep.

@@ItsADudeInARoom what are you talking about? There is no savior. We're all fucked. That has nothing to do with how nasty Lupe is as a wordsmith. He's unparalleled. Unmatched. And Kendrick is ass. Locksmith from Frontline is another nasty one. Joyner is crazy with the pen. Kendrick is so subpar. These are just facts. Anyone with ears and a brain can identify this basic fact. There is no argument to be had here.
