Here we need the valley to have perspective from the mountain. Imo- that's what's great about his work, it can have so many interpretations :)
I might be thinking to deeply into this, which I usually do when it comes to Lupe, but I think the resolution on this mixtape cover is intentionally low resolution. As you attempt to "zoom in" (dissect/interpret), the more difficult it is to "see" (understand/comprehend). That might be a message for all the rap genius contributors out there on this mixtape, lol but I don't know.
