You saved my vacuum - was just about to toss it because it wouldn't self-propel. I had replaced the thin belt and thought it should work right but it still wouldn't self-propel. You mentioned that the thicker belt also propelled the vacuum so I replaced it, and now it works like a charm. Thank you!
I haven't' seen that model come across my bench in a few years now. I personally still find it easier turn the brush onto the pully on that model. The best way is however you can get that darn thing on :-) Thanks for the comment.
Thank you for this AMAZING advice! Other peeps videos didn't show it as clearly as yours. I finally got it!!! THANK YOU!!!
Glad it helped!

Your welcome
Very good explanation, thank you.
You are welcome!
You made it look easy lmao
On the U5781900 You'll have to put the belt on the pulley first then using a screwdriver, pull the belt up and over the motor shaft.

My belt roll isn't metal and it very difficult to get belt around it. I've injured my hands trying to get it on. Not in ohio😢
That's too bad. Check out vacuumrepairshop.com/ so see if you can find a local place to take it to.
