I made the move from the UK to Sydney in 1995 and have never looked back. Best thing I ever did. There's no such thing as a perfect place, but Australia is pretty close to it! Welcome to Oz!
Welcome to the lucky country Molly. You have exactly the right attitude to flourish here. I have the feeling this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship....
Good luck to you sweetheart. I hope you settle in happily with or without your partner. Yes you are good for three years. I’m the son of an English migrant and so glad he did. I’m 77. Take care Lex
Moved to Australia in Feb 2023, best decision, we got PR straight away (wifes a nurse) it's not easy and your emotions will be up and down but it passes, enjoy 😊
Love this! Would love to know how you really arrived at this place of confidence in moving. I often think I’d like to move somewhere warmer but do have a desire to support my ageing parents in the UK (as an only child) as I love them dearly so it’s a tricky one. I do struggle with the weather/lifestyle here.
I hear you. I tried to put my roots down in the UK, even bought a place. Family is so precious but not at the cost of your happiness. I guess I arrived at this confidence because I was so deep in challenge and non-alignment that I was willing to do anything to come back into alignment. A shift of my environment was that for me. It’s an intuitive thing. In years to come as my parents get older, maybe I will make a new decision but for now, adventures await when they come to see me 😌 good luck darling!!!!
@@weareglobaltravellers so true. I think there’s lot to be said for that intuition and knowing. I am sure your parents will love visiting. Enjoy your adventures ❤️
Bless you Mollie, good luck with your move nearer to your Uncle and family in New Zealand now as well. Remember seeing you in Newquay at my local COOP and thought then wow it's Molly Bylett buying spring onions😂 was a bit star struck tbh ❤
@@weareglobaltravellers It was one of the moments when I nearly asked for your autograph but then thought I probably already have it on something I bought!😁
Hey Molly I’m 21 years old studying journalism in university living in London/Birmingham. For the longest time I’ve had that internal friction, you spoke about, of just feeling so unaligned with the uk and my lifestyle. Everything in me just wants to hop on a plane and explore the world!!! And someday move abroad. I really don’t want to live in a mundane life stuck working a 9-5 living in England a place that just doesn’t nourish me. Even my choice to study at university was because I didn’t feel like i had any other option, I guess what I’m saying is I want to spend my 20s doing what you did travelling the world and building projects that I’m passionate about. My lack of finances and how hard it is to find a job I feel really holds be back in getting somewhat closer to this dream. Any advice/tips you would give a 21 year old whose really inspired by how you’ve lived for the last decade and feels overwhelmed and not sure what next steps to take❤️
Oh angel, I can feel the fire in you. My advice would be to stay curious. Nourish that curiosity with any adventure no matter how small… create a vision for your future and show up every day willing to walk towards it. You don’t have to understand how or when, just WHY. Why do you want this life? How will it feel in your body. Focus on it every day and find ways to bring the dream alive here and now. When I was bringing my travel business to life, I trained in eyelash extensions (a job that paid well and was very flexible) - this allowed me to fund my travels and start. Make life work for you, you get to design it!!!! I can’t wait to hear how you bring it to life. May your life nourish you and fulfil you

Thank you 🥰 don’t worry - it’s having a piddle down here too 😜

If the uk is so bad why do so many Aussies live there? Lots of celebs seem to live there permanently
