I work in a financisl company in city life in a 20 million people city named İstanbul. But when I see this man's new video alert on my phone, I literally travel miles away to that beautiful Vietnamese village in my mind, those sounds of water, birds and other animals. It is like a psychological therapy for me to watch these videos from this channel. Thank you my friend. 🙏🙏🙏

My very dear friend Duong, I hope that everything continues very well, I wish health, prosperity, success and love in your home, look, for the pigs to gain confidence, you must reward them with fruit from time to time, so they see not only the love, but concern for them, pigs also feel love, when you try to pet them, do it in a confident and safe way, this way they will have more security for you, take good care of yourself and keep going friend Duong, a hug from Ecuador.. .🇪🇨🇪🇨🇪🇨🇪🇨🇪🇨🇪🇨

You have such a good water setup, it would make sense to set up a water sluice to keep the pigs water perpetually flowing and fresh + available. I suppose you could make it so that you can divert water to it or away, and divert water away when feeding. Feed the pigs in the water sluice, and when they are done, turn back on the sluice so that they have fresh drinking water again, and the excess food is washed away into the pond to feed the fish.

I wonder if it’d be a good idea to have a small cooking place out by the pigs? The containers are pretty heavy to carry.
You’re such a sweet person Duong. Those pigs are so lucky you chose them. Food AND ear scratches, what life could be better 😊❤❤❤❤

I send greetings to you and your wife from Japan. Thank you for your wonderful videos every time. I enjoy their videos every day. I am amazed every time I see your advanced use of knives. The animals are really cute. I can see how much you love them. Unfortunately, my house is in a residential area, so I can't keep livestock such as pigs or ducks. So I sometimes go to the agricultural center, which is a 30-minute drive away, to see the livestock. From now on I'm looking forward to the video. I pray for your family's health and happiness.

To prevent the spread of disease, we suggest making a scrubbing brush for cleaning feeders and a deck brush for cleaning the floor.
It may also be important not to work at your feet when making bait.

Duong, when you have repaired the water wheel you could use it to power a slicer to same you effort chopping. You could also make a grater.
My idea is like a modern food processor, with changeable blades, and you could just push things like the banana tree against the blade as it rotates to slice it up.

  • @beahatcher1743
    @beahatcher1743 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Duong,
You should make a rake to collect leaves, and your wood shavings etc. out of bamboo also. And if you were to use some sand you are always collecting at the stream to scour and scrub out the pan you make your pig slop in, it will clean it spotless clean with a lot less effort on your part as well. The sand will also work on cleaning the troughs as well. You can also use very fine wet sand and stone to smooth out wood for a finer finish. However I must say, your woodworking is excellent.
Another thing, I saw where you gathered and smelted the copper, when you created the bowl, you did it with a mold which was amazing. If you were to make another mold out of clay and fire it in the kiln so that it was smooth and not wet when you pour the copper into it, it shouldn’t explode. And you will have a much smoother outcome on anything you pour.
I have recently binge watched all your video’s as well as your wife’s video’s. I am totally amazed by the things you do and look forward to all the new videos to come from you both and hopefully will see your beautiful girls in more of the shows this summer.

Hi 👋 Doung glad to see you happy again , how are the chickens behaving with the ducks and geeses ? Bet they still naughty little ones 😂,
seems lots of people starting to read my comments and now they doing the same thing is good to see that some people are sharing nostalgic memories from the beginning of your journey how wonderful is that 😊
so you can see your very loyal followers share how they have seen you grown and how much you have done ,
    is amazing right?
For the pigs i know you scared to let them out since is way to recent being there with you
what about you make a playpen made of bamboo where you connect it from the barn edges and a small area where they can get sunbaths and see around
and when you come to feed them they can go easily inside the barn again
that be a small progress for both of you
Same with the ducks and geeses
I would start building the ramps for them to go in the pound
Also i would building a bigger and wider feeder for them so they all can eat more comfortably and less chaotic 😂😂
Wow those Jackfruit are growing good
What kind of fruits you can plant that are native to Vietnam that you can grown where you cut the trees so in the future you have a bigger variety and can sale them so you can get the food you need for the animals and medicine in case they show some symptoms of sickness
Well kiddo im glad to see another beautiful and heartwarming video see you in the next one hey before i go you overdue for one of your very long versions of your videos ok Doung big hugs 🫂 see you soon ❤

Those pigs look so cute! It might be a good idea to let them out. If they are able to walk around, they will get some exercise which will keep them healthy and they can get used to the environment and feel less trapped.
It must be very relaxing, living with the sound of streaming water, the wind blowing through the trees and the sounds of pigs, ducks and geese. Much better than the sounds of cars in the city.

(27:44) Yes, make the distance between water and food much larger. And more water. Same for the chickens and pigs.
Maybe the chickens are not FALLING in the pond, but drinking from it and not able to get out?🤔
(My suggestions are based on what I observed at my father's duck farm in Portugal in the 1970s.)
    👍👍👍👍
    👍👍👍👍

Curious about why you cook the pigs food? For digestion purposes it's probably better to cook the Cassava and rice, but is that why you cook everything or is there a reason I'm not aware of...? They wouldn't be getting the plants cooked in the wild and cooking destroys nutrients, microbes and the 'life force' energy that would probably be beneficial to them.

Duong, did you know you could make your own soap?
The ashes from your fire can be processed to make potash and lye, which can be used to make soap, make glass, and make fertiliser.
The process is very simple, but the potash and lye are VERY caustic alkaline chemicals.
    1. Dissolve ashes in water
    2. Filter the mixture to remove solids that won’t dissolve
    3. Boil and evaporate the water
    4. Collect the crystals of potash/lye
You can further process this to separate the lye and potash, but that is not really necessary.
To make soap you would need some type of oil or fat, and you only have a small amount of pig fat left at the moment.
Have you considered growing something you could make oil from like sunflowers or canola?

Suggestion, to feed ducks and geese, mix the food with water so that the ducks and geese grow big quickly

Please read the transcript and view the video at 18m12 regarding mixing food with water. OK, that is for the PIGS. But for DUCKS and GEESE keeping the water and SEPARATE from the food seems better. LOTS of water, yes, and *far* away from the food. At least that was the case on my father's duck farm in Portugal (very appropriately named "O Pato"... [The Duck]😉).
(No restaurant wanted liver, so my mother developed 365 recipes, even cod with liver...😵‍💫)
