When you think of Nickelodeon, you may think of goofy jokes, fun animation and bright green slime. Most, however, probably wouldn’t think ‘romance’. That being said, the channel does have its share of cute love stories, even if they aren’t always the main focus. There are also plenty of romantic subplots that probably could have used an extra draft or two… Of all the romantic relationships shown and spotlighted on the channel, which are the healthiest and which are totally toxic?

Man it's so sad how Cosmo and Wanda's relationship ended in the crapper. Just go back and watch the earlier seasons of FOP. Cosmo wasn't even lethally stupid and he and Wanda always had each other's back.
They even sung a whole song about how much they love each other

I do like the good Cosmo and Wanda. I wanna say that WickedBinge has always did this rule whenever the Fairly OddParents was talked about (coming from the good to evil list about the characters from the show). That rule is that they only covered episodes up to Wishology!, the season 6 finale, to maintain balance within their rankings. For Timmy and Trixie, their placement at the end of the grey area is understandable. As for Cosmo and Wanda, they had sweet moments in seasons 1-4, and even season 6 to a lesser extend after Poof was born. I believe season 5 is why they are in the toxic section under these rules, because while that season was good, it had flaws when compared to the other golden era seasons, one of them was mean-spirited and unfunny jokes surrounding Cosmo and Wanda's marriage, hence why I believe their placement is justified, even if I didn’t like the negative elements either. I will say they get a bit of redemption in the 6th season, the last season counted under these rules, with the negative elements being toned down to less often (they still occasionally appear in season 6's worst moments), and the couple having more heartwarming moments than in season 5.
In the defense of Sheldon his obsession is at least equal out by his genuine concern for Jenny's' well being and safety while Jenny on the other hand seems to treat Sheldon like a pet/mechanic more than a friend
He still bothers her after she makes it clear she doesn’t want him around
Yeah when people bring this pair's more bad points they squarely point the finger at Sheldon and never bring up any bad thing's Jenny has done and was also a time where she just jealous when Sheldon begin dating one of the girls in the in crowd

To be completely honest, I always thoughtJenny and Brad had much more chemistry lol
I honestly think that Mako and Korra’s relationship could have worked if the writers didn’t make part of their love life an example of how fire and water don’t mix by making it toxic in the end since they're still humans!
I feel that was the case with the writing of the show in general. I'll be honest and say that from the very get go I saw the writers trying to put them together and didn't like it but the way they had them break up was just hard to watch.
especially since Korra is the avatar so thereby had fire in her...
Hence why I never watched legend of Korra, especially with who she end up with Asami, I have nothing against the LGBT community it just felt like having it from what I heard in the end of the series felt like they were hiding it out of shame, to be honest if they started with this relationship first (and better writing cough cough) then maybe I would have gave that series a watch, though I can't blame it, it suffered the GT syndrome, basically like Dragon Ball GT shows like this have good ideas but sometimes either bad writing or bad animation, especially following up a good series like Dragon Ball Z or in the Legend of Korra's case, Avatar The Last Airbender, hence why sometimes it's hard for a follow-up series to exceed or at least be on the same level as its predecessor series.
There were also other issues with that series. Avatar probably had the entire three books planned out even if the third had cut content whereas Korra suffered from the problems of writing on the fly, especially when it was only supposed to be the one book.

Lori and Bobby make a pretty good couple in the golden metal of romances! Saka and Suki's relationship is kinda romantic and they are always here for each other. Danny and Sam is very romantic!

I have to say it’s painful to watch Wanda and Cosmo’s relationship in the toxic tear, because before season five they had to be one of my favorite cartoon couples in existence. But when they decided to make Cosmo FLIRT with the tooth fairy that was the end of there relationship to me. Not only is it irritating but it’s also extremely out of character for him because there used to be no stronger love between anyone then that of Cosmo and Wanda in this show. And unfortunately there relationship just went downhill from there.

Seasons 1-3 Plankton and Karen had a normal relationship and even in 1 film. the next seasons they literally made plankton an asshole who cheated on his wife
While it's nice that Danny and Sam's relationship got the bronze in the "Healthy" category, it's too bad that Cosmo and Wanda were at the bottom of the barrel. I always figured Cosmo's stupidity and Wanda's nagging was played for laughs and they really did love each other.

@rainbowtoyfunrandomess1982 At the first few seasons, they were hella happy with each other, but then their marriage went down the drain. We can still blame the writers, however it doesn't change the fact that they have resentment towards each other.
A second Healthy Avatar relationship is Korra and Asami as both started off as rivals and slowly became friends and then grew into more and we see how much they care about each other in the comics

Sam and Luna definitely have a healthy relationship. It was tough at first in “Racing Hearts” because the two girls had nothing in common but they decided to try and discover new things they like together. They did break up in the live action Christmas movie but they did get back together in the end.
I doubt that movie is canon to the animated Loud House universe, just like the live action series.

For live action Nickelodeon couples I think the gold medal of healthiness goes to Timmy and Tootie. It’s so much better than their relationship in the cartoon where Tootie is obsessed with Timmy.
Even if the movie is. Is non canon does that make it bad ? As many of the dragon ball z movies are. No canon but people still like them .
I love Arnold and helga so much y’all should understand why helga really stalks Arnold is because he’s only one who really shows how to be loved while everyone else treats her like garbage especially her own family plus they are literally only ten years old and they remind me of Arnold’s grandparents! I can just see their relationships being so much stronger as they get older that’s why helga and Arnold will always be my favorite cartoon couple 😊🥰

It was cool that Arnold and Helga became closer by the end of The Jungle Movie
Though I think The Jungle Movie went too far in making Helga the hero at every turn even though it was about Arnold finding his parents
You do realize Helga is the second main character after Arnold.
Yeah it made sense she had a big role. This is the true finale of the series so it makes sense for Helga to get her arc where it builds up to her finally getting together with Arnold.

@@pepito2847 I am still split on that honestly, but at least it made sense for Helga who tend to be one of the more selfish characters in the series. Plus, helping the parents of the one boy you love earned her a lot of points
The only reason Helga does the law breaking is because Arnold is the light in her darkness of neglect by her parents and her sister. Arnold treated her nicely. And Arnold needs his hole in his heart filled by someone’s genuine love that is Helga’s.

I found Lori and Bobby's relationship to be refreshing out of all the healthy to toxic relationship videos I've seen on this channel.
Mostly, because I love The Loud House, and they have such interesting characters and episodes. My top favorite characters in the loud house are as follows: Lincoln Loud, the man himself, living in a house full of sisters and still keeps it cool. Lucy Loud, her style of doom and gloom, is oddly entertaining to say the least. Lisa Loud, who despite her small size, has enough intelligence to rival that of even Albert Einstein.
And finally, Lori Loud, the oldest of her siblings, she seems like the type of gal who knows what she wants and is basically the glue of the family.

Maybe she apologized after they kissed and they talked in temple or at the airport or on the plane back home. They won’t take their eyes off of each other because their love is deeper than anyone expected it to be.

Arnold loves Helga for her heart as he knew she is good but is hurt. He knows it has something to do with her family but no one ever knew what goes on in the household because no one asks. You’re right that no apology is bad but it’s even worse when people get away with their crimes of hurting their family, whether they understand abuse or not.

Honestly, I hated the Cindy and Jimmy love story.
I hate the ones where the person is being rude to their love interest just to hide how they feel.
I think Cindy goes to far with it. First, she made sure Jimmy was kicked out of the science fair because he is 'too smart'. Which is unfair, because it is about intelligence. I think she is upset because it is one of the competitions she always loses to Jimmy to. Then she got Godard kicked out of the pet show because 'robot dogs aren't real pets'? Excuse me, I would love a pet like Godard (even though I am a cat person lol).
And the episode where Jimmy accidentally made everyone small, it wouldn't of happened if she constantly kept insulting his height (and then others joined in as well) then when he solved the issue, she took half of his trophy!?
And his whole crush on Betty. She constantly, picks on him so she shouldn't care that he has a crush on another girl. Then gets petty with the magic trick and made sabotage his trick and made Betty disappear -literally!
The whole Jimmy/Timmy thing -she made them fight for her to take her to the dance. If she really cared about Jimmy, she would of gone with him regardless. Then she only was interested in Timmy because he was intelligent because she thought he was a genius -which she always made of Jimmy for.
She keeps making fun of his gadgets.
Sorry, I never liked Cindy Vortex.
For cindy and Jimmy them arguing in public can be traced back to the first movie where Cindy gives jimmy a pep talk and tells him "Tell anyone i was nice to you and you'll wind up looking like that guy"
Jimmy's feelings for Cindy were also revealed in that movie when he tslked to Carl about dating.
"I thought we didn't like girls yet."
"Oh we don't! Ew!"
They have reputations to uphold amongst their peers.
Jimmy also reveals he has low self esteem in regards to his looks

So yeah the feelings were there from the start actually
The only episode where I remember Planktoon(or Plankton, i don't remember 😅) being genuinely nice and caring for Karen was the episode where he gets a client that comes every day, at one point SpongeBob tries to pretend to be Karen and Planktoon angrily asks what he had done to her and even calls him a brute(in my dub). The reveal at the end of the episode doesn't count, Plankton was happy and normal in this episode and his concern for Karen was genuine, so maybe if he got something to do with his life their relationship would be better.
"Planktoon?" Time for some Plankton mooching.
Real talk, there is also "Single Cell Anniversary," the episode where Plankton gives Karen an anniversary gift, though it would have been more sincere if Karen's anniversary gift was not the Secret Formula.

I disagree that Makorra never should have happened. People tend to forget that Avatar and LOK are, in fact, meant for children, and this teaches them about how to, or more appropriately, how not to deal with bad relationships. Children need to see that "the first one" isn't often "the one", but it also teaches that you can still be friends after breaking up, as long as the respect is still there.
I'm with you on that!!
People have to know about bad relationships because what’s the point of learning if you don’t experience it.
maybe this is because i skipped watching the last few seasons but i always thought of cosmo/wanda on lower neutral and timmy/trixie on toxic. while i will admit cosmo and wanda do have a volatile relationship that always have them butt heads and argue, they both need each other to balance each other personality wise considering the more fun loving cosmo and the more wise wanda do a lot better when together than apart. when it came to the whole trixie and timmy dynamic, i always just found it bizarre how it is practically 1 sided throughout the entire show with timmy being very stalker like in the 1st half of the show then trixie being clingy and needy in the 2nd half. it always felt like timmy and trixie only wanted a relationship when only 1 of them wanted to be together but when the other is completely and utterly repulsed by them
The question is: Where would you put the relationship between Timmy and Tootie from the Fairy Oddparents since in the movie(The one with Drake Bell mind you) they actually dated after Trixie moved out (I think, I never really enjoy the movie so I might of forgotten what happened to her)
For me I would put them in the Grey Tier somewhere since they did had a toxic start, with Timmy spending most of the series trying to avoid her while still having some care for her in some episodes.

I love these NickToons Romances, they are so sweet and loving! Although not all of them are like that plus Cosmo and Wanda's relationship isn't necessarily toxic because they do care for each other despite their flaws, but Plankton and Karen's relationship is a different story.😍😬

You know it's sad when you find in a comedy show like SpongeBob how sad a romantic relationship like a marriage would be the fact that the sweet Moments can't overshadow the Loveless highlights of the show it's not good not a good sign at least Plankton tried to Serenade Karen ( due to Mostly SpongeBob's help) but still it was a nice and a healthy way to end off single cell anniversary. Stay positive with your marriage Plankton at least do you want have to deal with Mr Krabs
