    The main things I learned from this channel:
    - be smart about the workout structure

    - if the intensity doesn't blow the roof off, than you're not going deep enough

    I had a chance to judge a show here in Colorado earlier this year with Ivana... she is very down to earth and cool. Her husband is an amazing IFBB Pro himself... I wish them the best and seeing these vids with the master John is just freakin motivating as can be!!!

    My friend owned a Nautilas gym in the 80s and 90s and had a belt squat machine. I always talk about it but never have seen any type or version of it since. It was great.

    Sorry guys - I had to bail on this one. Editing fail, here; the music is too overwhelming. I love this channel for the banter and wisdom. I'm like 11 minutes in and have heard 11 minutes of music and not a word about what they're doing and why. Music is fine as a bed, but not the main event. I do, however, appreciate this man's legacy and how it lives on through the insane amount of material he left us with. For that, I am more than grateful. Thanks John and Ivana!

    John do you find rack sumo deads beneficial for hams and adductor strength/hypertrophy if you can’t deadlift from the floor due to injury?

    John, I’m a natural weight lifter, 37, 185, 5’10 and lean. I kick my ass in the gym and I never feel sore. I go to failure and experiment with 15-20 and 10-15 reps, 4 sets, But for the life of me I just can’t work my muscles hard enough it seem to get sore the next day. Should I be doing same muscle every two days? I just don’t know what to do, I feel like I’m not reaching my full potential by not being sore at all. If you can address this in a video I’d appreciate it. Absolutely love your content man.

    Yo John!
    Because you where not doing free weight barbell squats in this workout, do YOU think squatting is a MUST? To be honest, squats for me, wheater it be barbell high bar back squat, low bar squat or front squats, I don't feel them that much in my legs/quads compared to Machine Hack Squat, Smithmachine squat or even Lunges. I have long femurs but a pretty good ankle mobility... Tried several squat stands, even on Olympic (squat) shoes.... but the free weight squats doesn't seems to work well for me compared to the exercises I mentioned mentioned earlier. Do you know people who have the same experience?

    I use a dip belt with a dumbbell to simulate the platform squat or whatever that machine is called.

    Mr. Meadows; you have some of the best workouts, BUT not all of us have the luxury of that equipment you get to use. A little bit jealous... please post more simplest workouts for us that have only a barbell and weights. You are the gospel in my house and totally respect the old school techniques.

    Man it's so crazy. I haven't rode my bike in about a year now. I finally got it fixed and yesterday I rode my bike for about 4 Miles full speed with some uphill . My legs and glutes have been so sore since then. I think I'm gonna start riding my bike every day as cardio and then train.

    Im gonna B 44 years old I lifted for maybe 13 years and been off for the past three and a half or so I was in a bad motorcycle accident but now I'm a lot better and I want to get back to the gym and it's so hard eating everything any advice for an old man... I was thinking about jumping back on gear

      bro, its pure gym, you can't expect stuff like this in them commercial gyms, if you ever go up north on your travels try some of the old school gyms up there, its night and day difference

    I hope you can answer a question I have, John. I think im going at this style of training alittle bit wrong. Lets say I have 3 sets of 10 on the hack squat for example, Im supposed to have these 3 working sets. What Ive done in the past is that I start counting the working sets when I barely hit 10, and on the 2nd and 3rd set there is no way that im managing to push out 10 reps because im fatigued from the first working set, in the long run it feels like im going nowhere with this kind of progression. Would a better approach be to find a challenging weight and just add small amounts of weight untill i barely hit 10 and then count that last hard set + the 2 previous lighter sets for 3 working sets, to kind create a buffer so im sure that im recovering better from the workout? Also on this method, is there a chance that im using so many warm up sets to find a weight that is challenging that it actually becomes to much volume, or doesnt it matter because the weight is so light?

      Count your working sets when you can actually get 10. Then do three sets of 10, or whatever rep range you’re training in

    Today I was in the worst form of my life. I have a torn muscle on my shoulder, a bad knee and a twisted lumbar in my lower back. Still went through your work out though. My partner puked few times.

    Here's my pre work-out routine: drink 3 cans of red bull and proceed to do 3x20 squats. Then get gassed after first set and lay on a bench for 10 minutes and hope that your heart doesn't jump out of your chest.

    My strength coach does the same. He will do the workout with me basically for a lot of things. My bjj coach sits in the corner on his phone. You can obv tell which I respond to best
