Soundtracks are super important in TV shows and cartoons. I've realised this a long time ago. Try watching the best Animes out there, they all have amazing soundtrack that fit the scene/character perfectly. One Piece, Naruto, Bleach, AOT. Forget Anime, just go watch Avatar the Last Airbender cartoon. The story was great already, but the soundtrack made it phenominal.
That's very true. I always think of that when I watch the scene in season 6 where Dany gives a speech to the Dothraki. Take away the inspirational music and the feel of that scene changes quite a bit.
Okay I know everyone is saying it’s funny but hear me out...Ramin should have written a dark version of Mhysa for this scene. Think about what a tragic, haunting parallel that would draw between this scene and Yunkai. I feel like a dark version of this song could be so fitting, too. Maybe like a quiet, sad, dark version. Cause in the end that’s what this whole show ended up being - a tragedy 😂😭
If you compare the Mhysa original scene and this Video there a so many parallels. In Meeren the people run towards her in king's landing they run away. In Meeren she wonders if the people actually wanted to be "conquered". In king's landing she decides that they must be conquered. In Mhysa she's together with Missandei und Jorah who both see her as a liberator. In Kings landing she tells exactly this in her Victory speech. It makes me so sad. It's like she never had a real chance...

@@doxasophosmoros Dany going mad could happen in the books and i’d be fine with it if it were done right. The issue is that turning a character that you love into one that you hate is incredibly hard, probably the hardest kind of character arc to pull off properly, and writing clearly isn’t a strong suit of d&d. You also need a lot of time to do it, just look at Walter White from Breaking Bad, the evil within his character grows very slowly, and it takes 4 or 5 seasons for him to fully ‘break bad’. Dany going mad over the course of about 3 episodes feels rushed and unsatisfying, they should have started the process in season 4 or 5.
This music gives me the chills. Damn you for putting it over this scene. The original Mhysa scene was so damn hopeful and understood and carried a message of hope that was burned to the ground in this very scene. It almost makes it appropriate since she WAS so good that when THIS scene came around she burned that scene and the city to the ground. Something tells me George R.R. Martin wasn't going to kill of Denerys.
Part of me wonders of he gaslighted D&D into believing he's going to do that so he DOES NOT do it in the books and subvert expectations xD He seems like a nice guy but I think he just let the arrogant pricks dig their graves after season 6-7.
With this music this scene makes you cry with emotion because it perfectly represents what Dany is thinking at that moment "I have suffered enough, I have lost enough and I have not come this far to show more mercy to those who betrayed me. I am Daenerys Stormborn of House Targaryen, a house of conquerors and I'm coming for the throne with fire and blood" She was wrong burnin King's Landing and it's easy to say that she was mad, evil... but with this music you can really see and feel why she did it.
Also if im being honest; Daenerys' fall to madness isn't exactly unrealistic. She had a lot of pressure on her, condensed. Tragedy after tragedy. Rejection and betrayal. All at the same time, pretty much. I crumbled under pressure many times and did regretful things in stress. Cersei literally tried to use Daenerys capability of mercy as a weapon against her, just after Cersei denied all mercy to Daenerys. After the land she came to denied her for who she was, denied her kindness and treated her cold, all Daenerys was sure of is that her kidness doesn't pay anymore. In fact her kindness to Jon brought doom to her because she trusted him and he killed her too, as he was swayed by an imp that not so long ago spat out his desires for everyone to die in that very city. But suddenly he felt co sad and merciful, because apparently a Lannister can be a cruel maniac that kills innocents in wildfire; but god forbid for a Targaryen to burn someone.
Did she care she hated slavery but what else is really moral about her “i will break the wheel when I’m queen how will I become queen? By starting a war killing 10,000s dead and millions impoverished its fine though cause my dad was king and he was unjustly overthrown for burning innocents alive” so yeah

I really appreciate this one.. and I don't know what the other folks here are going about... and I hope that you didn't just succumb to their view point and make this look like a meme.. It's not! I really think this truly gives a more accurate depiction of this chapter of the story, madness is a real part of the human psych, especially when we have nothing left but power. When madness is supreme and you have enough power then revenge is your only condolence. Mhysa was indeed playing inside of Daenerys' head when she was doing this. Daenerys did quite literally everything right. She had so much pain, went far beyond what's reasonable for a human to go through since day one. She suffered in the most true meanings of suffering, and then she had a dream, and suffered even more for it, but ended up losing everything trying to achieve it. "Every time a new Targaryen is born, the gods toss the coin in the air and the world holds its breath to see how it will land.” Daenerys turned mad, but the gods are not to blame here... It was her very own people. ASoIaF is great in that if you pay attention to the different novels and novellas, you end up knowing one thing... It IS a game, and those kings and queens ARE playing, but the only ones who in the end make it all real, very real, awakening those players from their dreams and disconnection from reality are the people. I've also been upset because of what David and Dan "did to" GoT but with time passing, I keep seeing that what they did is actually far more superior than an ending that seems like people always want... We always want things to go as we planned for them to go, but life is much more "real" than that! Sometimes you'll do everything you can do and make so many sacrifices but then a day comes and suddenly your all of it turns to ashes in your mouth. Daenerys was burnt long ago, but she wasn't mad.. she only went mad after she was stripped of everything that matters. The only thing that she could do was burn it all... Things don't always go well, life is much more real than that...
I like this way too... Mhysa stands for mother. They killed her son and the other son died to show cercei the undead. Dont kill the sons of a mother Who has dragons 😅 that's what you get
Exactly 😂 people act like she wasn’t at war and grieving all at the same time. And to be honest she never dealt with the grief from Drogo and Rhaego. So in all she’s feeling everything from Drogo, Rhaego, Viserion, Jorah, Rhaegal and then Missandei was the final straw. To be honest what she did to Kings Landing pales in comparison to what other rulers have done and what all the good she did in essos. She practically ended most of the slave trade over there.

I'm crying
AYYEEEEE YAASSS THATS MY QUEEEEENNNNN
Mhysa is a master.
This is HILARIOUS 😂😂😂
you all got used to her as a good, kind hearted girl who wants to save the world, but she is a human after all,why didnt you mention how many times she suffered and was betrayed, once for blood, once for gold and once for love, her family is gone, her dragons slayed, her people sacrificied for the well of others and no matter how hard she tries they treat her worse,no wonder she had enough of it, when destiny crosses the line nothing matters anymore actually...
Mhysa Darth Jar Jar
Dany -burns- _liberates_ King's Landing.
Fire and Blood.
YEAH GO MHYSA SAVE THESE PEOPLE, BE OUR QUEE...
