Steve - I've got a boy with a left leg lead. He appears to keep his shoulders and hips square but, swings his lead leg from left to right. This of course leads to a balance issue. Not surprisingly, it gets worse with each successive hurdle. Do you have a drill series that might help to keep his lead leg going straight forward rather than swinging to the right. Thanks
My general rule is, over 30's, 7 feet apart; over 33's, 8 feet apart; over 36's, 9 feet apart; over 39's, 10 feet apart. I've never had an athlete do it over 42's -- too dangerous.
For the one-step drill, see my reply to Otis McDaniel III. For the three-step drill: over 30's, 15 feet apart; over 33's 18 feet apart; over 36's, 21 feet apart; over 39's, 24 feet apart; over 42's, 27 feet apart.
Generally when I have runners do a 1-step drill I try an 8-10 ft distance apart.

What is the spacing on the 3 step drill
Is this spacing for guys only
What is the spacing for the one step drill?
Thank you for the question. The hurdles are spaced about one foot less than they would be during a race.

@@ChampionshipProductions This cannot possibly be true lol
