I think that was more because she's well known for creating animations that's super bloody and dealing with otherworldly creatures. If it was truly because because of swearing she would've probably done WAP. Vampire just fits more with what she's known for.

I really enjoyed this take on the concept! Weird Al's backing vocals pair surprisingly well with the originals, especially during the latter half of the mash. I also really liked all of the additional music bits you snuck in there, mixes things up. Very nice!

I love how the uptown funk one was animated by the guy who made 2 fan animations for weird al songs. The saurkraut crushing the guy is a reference to one of the songs he animated, albequerque. Also the flowers one is really awesome cause it's callbacks to other mv's

The fact "Vampire" played when I was riding my U-Haul back to my house is funny
this gave me nostalgia for some old Dr. Demento clips where they'd mix up the original music like this with weird sound effects (especially the "WAP" part with the fx that weren't from Weird Al's version) - very awesome, great work

And i disagree with your “talentless hack” comment, even though this video isn’t the most ‘original,’ the creator still added several touches that would be difficult for someone without musical experience (pitch shifting the vocals to be in key, keeping the songs on the right beats, adding extra clips not in the original).
tl;dr: I disagree with you. People should be able to enjoy fun things. This mashup probably took more talent than it seems.
one last thing: if the thing you took issue with was it being unoriginal, might i suggest other mashups from this creator? they’re a lot more derivative if that’s what you’re looking for (have you heard of harder better faster whopper? it was made by this guy it’s hilarious).

i like to think weird al started his career trying to make an original song but ended up making a sequel of a popular song
It makes it sound like AL is in the background of each of their concerts playing around with the audience while they sing the actual song
Thanks to you, I have some idea of what the original songs sounded like. Even as far back as 'Polka Your Eyes Out,' it took me YEARS to accidentally hear all the current hits Weird Al incorporated into his polka medleys.
