Nyerere was the best and true African son, problem is that, we Africans do not know a good leader, we follow the choices of our exploiters who always hate our best leaders and spoke a lot of rubbish only because they do not allow them to exploit us easily.

The only people are the ccm who had a bit of life, no tv, no one can keep forein currency, if he had stayed as presedent, you wouldnt even know what is computer. He duped many but because education was kept to standard 7.

I doubt on your thinking capacity, the development which you claim that we, Tanzanians wouldn't have if we would be under Mwal. Nyerere is determined by the trend of world advancement in various aspects of human life, therefore, it is inevitable to any country, thus why all countries have accessed the computer and other modern technologies.
There is great number of nations still under bad leadership and their people enjoy the world technologies.
Some features of development come in evolution like phenomenon. Bear in mind that in the digital world as it is today still your country suffers from extreme poverty, hunger and starvation, diseases, corruption, nepotism poor industrial production and so on, it seems as to you sitting somewhere playing game in touch screen, it is development.
Go deep in your life and figure out the goodness of our leaders who also found themselves in those technologies you boast to have, if they have positive contribution to your nation and set clear future , and figure out the future of your life, generation, and the nation in general. eventually you will realize that you think small. Criticize Nyerere but not in poor argument like yours above.

I agree with Sharif Juma. While I am Tanzanian, I have lived in Kenya for 5 years.
I had not noticed a few behaviors peculiar to us Watz until I came back home to visit
For example, we are quite xenophobic. Not as much as the South Africans but still there exists a fear of foreigners.
Also, there is a tendency to always be politically correct. That it is very very bad to be exclusive in any way, shape or form. That I must speak English or Kiswahili even when the person I am speaking to is of the same ethnic group as I.
Those two are what stick out for me and while I hate to compare, Kenya has none of the above mentioned problems. Yes Kenya has 'ukabila' but I have found that between elections, nobody really cares about which tribe you are from.
I think CCM has purposefully created both problems as an excuse to stay in power. It makes it seem like CCM is the glue that holds Tz together and scares us into voting for them so that we don't become 'wakabila kama Wakenya' even though they have not managed to bring economic development.
I love Tanzania, it will always be my home but we need to stop thinking ourselves exceptional when we aren't.
Having also visited Uganda, I believe East Africa should become a country there are many benefits
