    Curado K and Curado DC are both great! I’ve used and own anywhere from an $80 Shimano to a $650 Shimano, I love them all! Thank you for sharing this video and I’ll definitely be watching more!

    The curado k is great...but there are two other curados that I like better, myself. First is the curado 70. I own metaniums, aldebarans, scorpions, the works...and the curado 70 remains the most comfortable reel I’ve ever thrown. The second is based on the curado 70 and it’s called the engetsu 100hg. It’s got the comfort of the curado 70 with micromodule gears, a clicky drag, a huge handle (I replaced my knobs with curado k knobs) and the absolute sickest paint job on any shimano, period. It’s the ultimate curado in my opinion. Mine will have to be pried from my cold, dead hands.

    I bought a curado K a year ago and decided to do some maintenance on it. Simple gear cleaning and re greasing and oiling of the bearings. I recently bought an slx dc and it feels as though it feels smoother. I don’t know if something is messed up, but with the microgears i would expect my K to be smoother. It feels as though there is a slight vibration as I reel

    I got my curado k upgraded to 12 bearings and the reel is a dream. So smooth and thight. I prefeer it over a bantam or metanium always now.

    My bearings in my Curado 200K started making noise after 3 months of use in freshwater only despite proper lubrication and maintanance. Was pretty disappointed. My Curado DC did not have this problem at all

    Like you I’m a complete Shimano guy only brand reel you’ll find on my sticks .. That Metainium is NICE but there’s really no comparison between it and Curado K 200 , you can buy 4 Curado Ks for the price of one Metainium that probably won’t be great for Salmon fishing … I catch 30/40lb Salmon on my Curado Ks going on 3 yrs and still no problems .. I owned 5 Curado Ks till I lost one in the river this summer … sucked 😮 .. bout 600.00 someone’s gonna find one of these days , worst part the reel was only a few months old … no bs if I didn’t have bad luck I’d have no luck at all … The Chronarch MGL is another can’t beat it reel a little better than the Curado k but in a 150 size .. .. love it never backlashes even tossing no weight soft beads . Yup really can’t go wrong with any Shimano reel they’re the best of the best …

    I've had my curado k for about 4 to 5 months now and I realized the drag somehow magically comes loose and I miss the hookset and I am wondering if it has happened to any of your curado reels? The same thing happened to my buddy who uses an slx dc and it has happened to him before so if you could give me your thoughts that would be great.

      @@notlilithchan2316 I took braid off my reel and spooled it with 20-pound fluorocarbon but it still keeps on happening. Thankfully it's not a major issue.

      i’ve had the same problem. what i found works is tightening the drag more that it needs to be. something else that happens is i’ll be fighting a fish and i’ll go to reel and the handle reels but the spool doesn’t move you can find this out but holding your thumb on the the spool with normal set drag and trying to reel. it cranks but the spool doesn’t reel

      Marcos Becerra I cant speak for that particular Lew’s reel, but you likely won’t wrong with either. For me personally, the safe recommendation is the Curado because I think there is a very slim chance you will be disappointed. But honestly, with my experience with Lew’s altogether, again you’re not going to go wrong either way. I vote the Curado tho!

      I’ve had some Geary sounds coming from some of metaniums after a few months, but never a curado actually. But there are usually bad eggs along the way. I would give it a good cleaning and greasing 👍

      Yea anything over 1/4 oz I would go K for sure! If you’re mostly going to be throwing very light stuff and really want to go for the lightest setup then I would probably prefer the 70. Thanks for watching!

    Okay so this is a dumb question but the reel has two holes on the spool witch one do you put your line through to tie a knot

    • @FishinwithTate
      @FishinwithTate  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cole Gendreau I tie a not onto the spool, I don’t stick my line through them typically. I find it easier

    • @jpapa967

      @@calikayakangler7560 the holes are just so you can stick the line in there a bit, reel the spool and wrap the line around then you take it out of the hole and can then easily tie an arbor knot or something around the spool. The holes are not meant to have line tied through them

    Should I buy the courado k, or the shimono slx DC? (I'm gonna go to bass pro shop while these are on sale) I don't have the money to afford a courado DC but I do for an slx DC, after feeling between the two, they both felt around the same in being smooth, but I also know that bass pro shop always keeps the spool tension caps super loose! Indrek Parmasto i would go tranx as u get closer to 2 oz, 1 1/2 u could get away with a K. If your using a bait with a lot of resistance like a big spinner or a swimbait tho, that’s gonna add even more pressure on the reel so I’m that cause I would probably go with tranx.
