I think the guy who suggested 2nd shield with no ash of war meant it as a bait? When you have shield with no ash of war, you can use your weapon's ash, and if you were to swap to parry shield that looks the same, people would think you still have the old shield without parry.

Yeah. At least the way that this was clipped, Albino said that he want a separate button so that he didn't make it obvious he was going for a parry, so both the double shield and counter spell were chat suggesting options to not make it as obvious that he was going to parry. Chat interpreted his problem as revealing the parry to his enemies, when in reality it Albino didn't particularly care about the switch but rather having access to both his Ash of War's at the same time.

DS3 had such an active pvp scene back then (not sure how it is now) but I remember getting a message for pretty much any playstyle lol. gamers were not happy back then.
It's because half the time you spent like 10+ minutes chasing mfers thru the level running thru their 87 estus charges
that shit just made everyone involved angry
I had one chinese guy come to my steam comments after using shield only as a joke and try to swarm me with his friends for being bad (all after spamming perserverance on his mace). I then exposed them for hacking in achievements and they started crying about me bullying them, then blocked me. 😂

I will never forget the time where I met the literal nicest raider when playing this game. My friend was helping me in an area, and suddenly we got raided. We spotted them emoting from far away, when we realized they’re chill. I then let my friend fight him and let eachother buff up, he died. Then before we fought, suddenly he led me back to the Grace so if I die then I won’t have to risk loosing my runes, I died, then got a message saying gg and sorry about the raid, literally the nicest dude I’ve ever met in such a toxic game

pro tip : if you block the hosts friends/hunters, they can’t be resummoned after they get GOT. i often get the hosts friends, block them and THEN get the host.

Sorry Bino but chat had a point about the second shield, you pull out the shield to parry, but it makes it obvious you're gonna parry, ya? But if you have a second shield you swap to that has "no skill," you can use storm stomp with the shield out, and opponents will see you don't have a parry with the shield. Then, when you need to parry, swap to the same looking shield but with parry on it, and they'll not expect you can now parry. Having both equipped on the left hand makes a swap super quick so you can do both whenever you need
