- This is to show what the city of Minna looks like in 2023 for those who have never been here and those who have been here before but have been away for a long time. The city of the two generals, I'm referring to our former head of state, General Ibrahim Babangida and General Abdulsalam.
I hope you find the vlog exciting and give it a Like.

Hey Bigwillz, this is nostalgic for me. I schooled in FUT Minna in the mid 90's and I remember this stretch of road. IBB did a great job with the roads in Minna and the water channels. It appears that the town is more populated than when I was a student. Great job you are doing! Well done.
Thank you for watching and commenting. Appreciated
The city obviously is more populated now than what it was in the 90's
Those art work in the round abouts were done by I and some of my team. I grew up in this town and nothing much has really changed after I left in 2014. Good job 👍 for bringing back old memories to me.
Waooo interesting. Nice to hear from someone who did the design at the roundabout. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Beautiful roads
👍👍
Minna is beautiful and its greenery is so lush. I felt like i was in the car on this ride. Thank you ,Bigwillz
@EsoheA, it's always nice hearing from you. Thank you for taking this ride with me.
“Beautiful”? Did I miss something while watching the video? I don’t think so because I rewatched it.
@@user-yz8jj2gu7h it's in the eyes of the beholder. We are see things differently.
i have been to Minna only twice and that was when my old man was with Nalado Engineering, but i ,they were there as consultants and contractors over there;but i guess i do recollect one or two places, and this was when i was in Nigeria then.
I'm glad I brought you some memories.💕
I enjoyed the video very much, Bigwillz. Looking forward to more videos from the area. Would like to have a better look at that rock formation. Minna looks like a really nice city. Thanks for sharing.👍
Thank you bro. Minna is a chilled city with not much happening. But I will be going to other cities in the state to make videos. I appreciate your comments.💕 🙏 💕
Kai you sabi every where in Nigeria. 9ja Tourism board needs to do wayo and give you special award for the way you promote the country!!
Nagode sir 🤣🤣🤣
On your way back to Abuja please show us what the road looks like from Minna to Abuja
Noted. 🙏🙏
wow! So you visited my state, sanu da aiki.
Nagode dan uwa
It looks like a village with one main road and few traffic lights that people do not know its function. The practice in Nigeria is to build infrastructure without maintenance. No authority is in charge of anything.
This road is just the main one I showed here. The town is quite big, though not as busy as some other cities in the country.
I came to Minna for my NYSC in 1987 and left in 1992 after five years of working there. IBB poured money into Minna in1987-1992. Its disheartening to see that not much has changed in Minna since IBB's makeover of the City, almost 37 years ago. This road was dualized by Col David Mark in 1987 -88.
Wao, interesting! Minna used to be a beautiful place
@@Bigwillz Minna has always been beautiful, quiet but empty over the last forty seven years compared to its contemporaries created in 1976.
I just live the vast lush greens of Minna. It's breath taking. The air smells really clean. The fish market would have been my main target. Fish pepper soup on a raining day....
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣fresh fish peppy soup 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Omo I'm game
Thanks to showing us naija places, pls try to visit kaduna again it's really changed always😍
Kaduna Home sweet home. I will be there soon again.
Mobil fly over is the one with the rail road under
Omo, I appreciate this additional information. Appreciated
Quite happy to settle in Niger state when i retire from living abroad. Originally lived in lagos
If I may ask, what's the reason for picking Minna over Lagos and Abuja? I'm just curious.
@Bigwillz looks like a more laid back type of place compared to Abuja. Lagos is a massive no no 😆
@@OG-dp1kx it's obviously a more laid back place. For me I will prefer to live in Jos Plateau State because of the cold weather and loads of fresh fruits and vegetables.
@Bigwillz oh, Jo's is prone to ethno religious violence otherwise I agree,
@@OG-dp1kx yeah you are right.
Thanks for uploading this video, i enjoyed staying at Minna then wow so lovely
Glad you enjoyed it
Very well 😊

Minna roads are beautiful, though it scanty
👍👍

I have relatives in Minna, nice and clean sleepy town on the central area, the hinterlands is not so paved just the major thoroughfare. I was there in 2016, am sure a lot should have changed by now
The town is obviously a sleepy town with lots of greenery.
The last gate is called Tudun Fulani gate out of bosso
👍👍👍
The main thoroughfare looked clean and even had trees in some places.
👍👍
David Mark road takes you to Maitumbi
I truly didn't know that. 👍👍
Cantonment has several barracks and it is bigger compared to barracks. I think another huge difference is that cantonment holds a division while barracks holds brigades... I was raised in a cantonment so I hope I tried to answer in the best of my abilities.
Thank you for the enlightenment. 🙏🙏🙏
Mina has changed, I wonder what Suleja looks like now. Any idea how to get Edo amoriri in Abuja?
Edo Amoriri in Abuja? I honestly don't have any idea where this place is.
@@Bigwillz 😂😂 "Amoriri" is a berry syrup produced in Edo State, I was wondering if anyone has an idea on where it can be purchased in Abuja.
Nice content bro.
Thank you 🙏
Great video my brother, will I be able to communicate with people fluently in English in Mina?
Definitely yes.
@Bigwillz appreciate your reply, I'm scheduling a trip soon.
@@tawfeeq131 keep me posted on your travels.
@Bigwillz will do, that's my word. Take care bro.
@@tawfeeq131 👍🏼
its Niger State Transport Authority not Association...... my house is located at david mark road taking you to maitumbi not maikunkele.
Thank you for the right information. Appreciated 🙏
Minna has not changed at all, it looks like a develop village that's all
🤣🤣🤣it's still a fine place
I haven't been to minna in 20 years. Nothing has changed. Please, next time get someone with better knowledge of the town. Thanks
🙏🙏
