A visionary governor. They're beginning to think outside the box and it's a very loud development. Kudos to Peter obi his foresight and the governor for his courage ❤❤❤
If a country is not able to feed itself it has problems, serious problems. I cannot understand the most fertile land on this earth, Africa, has to rely on imported foodstuffs.
The governor of Niger State in all his wisdom and good intention for his home state of Niger and Nigeria at large should desist from taking any deal that would warrant the acceptance of plant seeds, seedlings e.t.c from any foreign country especially in the west in general if he values the health of the people of Niger State and the entire Nigeria.
Thank you for the awareness, though Peter Obi said it throughout his campaign. But I'm happy his campaign has come to fruition, hope it will be sustained.
This is the inspiration, counsel and recommendation of Dr. Peter Obi (LP's Presidential Aspirant) to this Governor of Niger State. Thank GOD he took the counsel.
May God bless the Nigerian leaders for this initiative . These are very resourceful people like most Africans. It’s going to be a resounding success & hopefully spread quickly to others in the region & Africa as a whole . This is what America does best,
Should have gone for Japabese Kubota or Yanmar. American ones makes you very dependent on their tech and parts are unreasonably expensive. Even American farmers are slowly shifting
You are very right. The SHD had gone for the Chinese and the Russian bcos any generics seeds are automatic declare the person a terrorist. The foods in the US are not same in Europe and the European doesn't want the American foods. The workers are in millions okay train them and they shall train another millions the Russian and Chinese will never complain on any workers put up an open advertisement about tractors driver .truck drivers and everything and see more than 9millions people apply.

Two thumbs up for niger state government for this initiative. I am just worried of fulani herdsmen damaging those farms. The federal government must control the excesses of fulani herdsmen for agriculture to survive in nigeria.
AT LAST! AT LONG LAST!! The penny has finally dropped! Yes, Nigeria has to be self sustainable. For food, maybe the young Captain of Burkina Faso has inspired Nigeria.

Thanks for sharing this important "Agro mechanism" to improve farming in Nigeria. The government of Nigeria must ensure that they have good control of Fertilizer usage by monitoring how they are used in all these products. There must be serious 😅 law enforcement to monitor this type of mechanised farming particularly in Nigeria. Thanks 👍. Akinfadeyi
Thank you to Peter Obi,his campaign promises is now being practiced.Thank you to governor of Niger state for taking the initiative. It shall be well with Nigeria.
Nice content, quite insightful and motivational.. Certainly a move in the right direction by the Niger State Governor, with the statistical information from HE Peter Obi during one of his public presentations as the trigger..
Africans have to produce, manufacture farm tractors ourselves... food production has a first priority of people who eat food. Farm tractors and agriculture equipment is the most important for the survival and continued existence of a society. Africa please manufacture your farm tractors and equipment by Africans in Africa for Africans.
Congratulations Nigeria .....I always watch agriculture in china and whole Asia Europe how mechanized it is and I wish I had my own country to implement this....use of modern technology such as AI has led to massive production.......those countries as scooping billions of dollars from agriculture 👍👍 Africa can feed the whole world of every country implement this
Absolutely CORRECT 💯. You can be sure that AMERICA is getting the best deal out of this. The seed will be HYBRID. This means that you can't use the produced seeds and plant it for the next year. You will have to BUY fresh seed in.

Those that attach Peter Obi in this Governors decision are not wise. You think the Governor cant think on his own? Whether PO advice him or not, the Governor has proven to us to be a responsible man.
They all do it. They have been doing it over the years. Go back in a year's time and ask about the whereabouts of the tractors. Then you can come back and write about it.
Why is it the leaders in Africa don't see the jobs created by the manufacturing of farm equipment and farm tractors ... is it they don't see African youth need jobs?
Yes, there needs to train the workers i especially the YOUTH , in how to maintain the machinery, health and safety ,etc will there be agriculture training colleges to train young people? , And to promote farming, to attract the youth. This is great news!!
And who will own these farms? Who will own all these agro products for export and domestic sale? Who will prevent US GMO seeds in making their way into the agriculture production?
Good for Nigeria which can give food to all.if all countries instead of buying arms and army tanks if they buy agriculture eqiupments and tractors there will be food for all.
