I watched three assembly videos. Yours is great. I will say, though, one guy put it together in the up position. It helped him to hold the console (leaned it up against the running surface) while he plugged it in and when installing the monitor. It allowed these things to be done without the need for another person holding them while you make the connections. (Remember, you have to pull out the pin that keeps the treadmill from folding.)
Super helpful video. Just bought one today and will play your tutorial again when it’s time to assemble it, God-willing. PLEASE DO make a second video demoing you and your son’s favorite console features and settings and an update on how you feel about it so far.
@@honestreviewsandhowtos I’m a big guy (320 at the moment), and the build quality feels really solid and supportive for my size. As for the console, so far, I like using the Netflix and TH-cam apps, and the ability to screen share content from my iPhone easily. I also like choosing the overhead, animated track view which motivates me to mentally to set a minimum lap goal to achieve. Looking forward to explore the rich library of FREE instructor-led treadmill videos that it comes with. My whole family is happy with it so far. Thanks again and best wishes on your better-shape journey 👍🏽
A huge thanks. Just put our new F85 together and this video was immensely helpful. F#@! the instructions in the manual, your video is a million times easier to follow!
Very nice job. Concise, comprehensive and clear without the extra commentary that often bloats other how-to-videos. I really appreciate the extra effort on getting the right camera angles to provide a clear view. Only suggestion would be a list of tools that are required. I would like to see a video on the screen and a review a couple months after set up.
Do the apps like youtube and Netflix have some kind of workout data overlay or do you have to switch back and forth in the menu? If you do have to switch, is it easy to go back and forth or do you have to close and loadup the app each time? (Please make a console function video. There’s not one out there. )
I'll see what I can do! In the mean time while you are watching say youtube, there's a an overlay stripe at the top of the screen that you can choose to leave or hide. It displays basic info like distance, time, incline, etc. If you hide it, you get a small beep if you are doing interval programs that lets you know it's about to change and then it briefly pops up to let you know the settings. also, I'm not sure with netflix, but with youtube you can do that thing where it opens a smaller window that you can drag around if you want the workout info to be full screen. While you are in any one app there is also a small bar that overlays on the screen that can be used to switch apps or exit the current app. Sorry it's wordy I hope this helps with perspective some.
Thanks so much for this video! This helped me set up my sole f80 2023 model...it's pretty much the same set up but there was no video on TH-cam for it! Very much appreciate!!!
My man! Your video was awesome! I was stuck on securing the right post until I watched your video about fishing the wire through the bottom hole. Got it and watched the video all the way through.
Perfect timing with the video release. Receiving mine in a couple of days. Did plenty of research this summer for my next treadmill, should last me plenty of years. Finally reaching Scandinavia this week.
Nice video! Mine has just arrived today in UK, cannot wait to set it up. This video is really useful to assist with set up. Not looked at manual, barely need to after your detailed set up!
Great video, thanks, wish I watched before we carried it inside as two guys and pulled the strap off before it was levelled on the floor so the safety pin flew out and the legs were kicked out.
This came delivered yesterday and my goodness JUST the lower piece is HEAVY!! I mean, HEAVY. Like 300lbs heavy. If you don’t have a STRONG helper with you to tag the other end you need to hire helpers. I had to hire a moving company to bring this bad boy up the stairs and they were struggling hard. They even stated that this treadmill weighs more than the others. Just an FYI for anyone reading this. Regretting buying a 2nd story home 😂 Thank you for the step by step guide !!
😂You should have seen me pulling this out of the back of a truck by myself like and idiot! I had no idea how hard it would be to move. I thought to myself eh 300lbs isn't that bad. All I can say is life has a way of teaching us humbleness when we need it most! Glad you got it upstairs safely! I felt your pain in our last house when I thought it would be a great idea to buy a large safe for the master bedroom closet!
Thank you SO much! Your video quality, sound and adequate lighting coupled with your clear and detailed commentary are all amazing! We are not super handy and were dreading putting ours together but thanks to you we are ready to give it a go. We would love to see a video about the screen next! Thanks again!
We did it, thanks to you and your boys! Thanks so much! We just kept watching and rewatching your video at every step. Although we had some issues it looked like you all didn't encounter. Ours had no safety pin and the plastic piece you alerted us to is only loosely resting in that hole. I plan toncall Solebtomorrow before using it. Also the right side arm with the wires on both ends: when we went to slide it into its space, we noticed the wires in the tread mill base that we needed to connect the arm to were bound in a circular plastic safety clip, preventing the arm from fitting and were pinching the wires. We cut the clip to increase mobility of the wires. ??? It seems to work. ??? We found your other channel, too, great content and congrats on your daughter! Thanks and Happy New Year!
So happy we could help and that y'all got it together! I apologize if we missed any steps in the video. I don't recall having either of those issues but sometimes we miss stuff so it's possible. We actually put this thing together way back in May I think. Thank you for the kind words we are very blessed.
Hi, We are about to pull the trigger on the F85. Have you tried connecting your Fitbit or any other fitness watch to the F85 console? Or do you have to go through the Sole App on your phone? If so, have there been any issues with the data being transferred or any glitches? Sorry, there isn't much information out there about this subject. Thanks!
Apologies, but none of us use fitness trackers so I don't really have any good info there. Hope you are able to find what you're looking for or maybe someone who does know drops it below!
Thank you for this video I’m planning to get this exact model soon and now I’ll know to be super mindful to not pinch any of the cables during assembly. Did you put a screen protector on or did that just come with it? I think I might get an extra one just in case, do you have the console’s touch screen dimensions?
It doesn't come with a screen protector. I'm not sure it would need one. What you might have seen is the protective film that they cover the screen with for packaging. I just measured mine - the screen is just over 15" wide and 9" tall, but since there is a large black border around the touch screen part you could do that size or just a bit smaller and still have the part you use protected.
I dont think it's bad. You'll def be able to hear it unless the walls are thick. My wife is able to sleep through my morning runs if that helps any (a wall between us). I'm not positive if a mat is needed because this has decent rubber underneath, but if you wanted extra protection I'd go with something like this:amzn.to/3QSgDx0. I check to make sure the size was accurate. Hope this is helpful!
We still enjoy it. I mostly use the youtube app, which works great. I wish it was more responsive, but it doesn't not hang up or anything. Just slower navigation than we'd like.
It has built in speakers that aren't great, but work well enough. There's Bluetooth connectivity for external speakers or headphones/earbuds - this is what I use most. There is no headphone jack.
I got mine directly from Sole. Sometimes it's less expensive on amazon though. I try to buy most of my stuff from Amazon. I like having all the orders in one place. It wasn't listed on amazon at the time but it is now. For reference when I purchased it directly from Sole, after tax and free shipping it was Total: $2,455.24. Hope this helps!
@honestreviewsandhowtos have you purchased their Extand plan for 5 years or no? Right now it's $90. Dick's has their own warranty plan too a bit higher and depends on number of years you want to cover up to 4.
Since when did Post Malone start doing treadmill reviews? Nah jk, great video man! Edit: F85 delivered today, immediately came back to watch again. It made it very easy to put it together
I entered the wrong email address on netflix on this console and now I can't get it to go back to the log in page. It wants me to continue setting up a new netflix account. Any idea how to reset netflix on this so I can try to log in again?
How do we turn this machine on each time?? Yesterday when we set it up it turned on but today I couldn’t figure out how to start it. Do we have to turn it on and off every time via the power button at bottom of the machine??
It goes to sleep and the screen turns "off". but if the power button is on, all you have to do is tap the screen or push a physical button on the machine and it will wake up. We've never had an issue with it waking back up.
Sadly been having tons of issues with mine, think the frame even arrived damaged as the arms were too wide for the console that came with it. Support doesnt even reply and it’s been a month.
funny enough they responded after this and told me i got a console unit that shouldnt even exist and theyll be sending me a correct one early next week. hopefully thats the last time i need to contact them @@honestreviewsandhowtos
Sounds like your belt may need adjusting. I haven't had to do that yet, but it doesn't look too painful in the instructions. Hope you're able to get it sorted!
Tip: Safety key is important if you have little kids. Kids can be injured or killed if they turn it on and get sucked under as with the sad Peloton need
Thank you for this! The instructions were not great and your video was super descriptive. One detail I noticed, is that my unit didn't come with that safety pin at the base of the left arm as you showed. Unfortunately, my Sole F85 would not power up. I could see the power was connected as the light on the power button lit up. The console stayed black and start button never responded. The safety key was in place. I took everything apart and checked all the connections. No pinching and everything was connected correctly. So......will call technical service on Monday, as they're closed on weekends. REALLLLLY disappointed for the expense of this unit. Should have bought something from Academy!
You guys are awesome!! Didn't even open the manual and just watch your video. Completed the assembly with no problem.
Happy we were able to help! Thanks!
Thanks for showing how to tuck the wire and connections. The instruction manual SUCKED lol. Thank you again.
You're very welcome!

Hi, is it ok to put the treadmill on 2nd floor in the home or does it necessarily need to be on the slab (first floor or the basement)?
Thank you for your video! It was a life saver. The instruction manual sucked in comparison.

Hi, does it support mirroring for Android cell phones? Thank you
Yes it does!
If you use the AirPlay feature or if you use Netflix, will it still track your distance etc?
I do not use Aireplay, but yes it does run the treadmill app in the background so it keeps up with all that.
Will this screen mirror an iPhone through Airplay or do you have to screen mirror through the Sole app?
I believe it only works through the sole app unfortunately.
