On the subject of Hendrix' singing - a reminder of how good a singer he could be was his performance at Maui Hawaii 'Rainbow Bridge' concert . He sang well even as the wind was blowing at him. Someone has recently uploaded the 2nd show of that concert where he plays his Gibson Flying V - a left hand one Gibson gave him.
Keep it up Shane, your viewers need to know who much effort you take to produce these clips. I'm rebuilding my studio so maybe once it's finished I might finally get my youtube channel up and running running. Thanks for all the tips on how it's done. Hope the Doc is playing those killer licks and your all safe and well.
Lol at you not remembering the MG30FX - you did a whole review video of it like 2 years ago 😂. I must have watched it like 50 times waiting for my amp to arrive last summer. You said pretty much the same things in that video that you said here haha. I had the MG15 for years with my first guitar (a Squier.) Upgraded to a beautiful blue burst HSS Player Strat and the 30 watt MG and they are both awesome!

Personally i love pickups, the technology behind it, being able to change your tone. Imagine how it was before Dimarzio introduced the "super distortion" i do a lot of research before buying pickups. Sounds, info from the makers, asking them questions via e-mail about what i have as a guitar, type of wood, amp etc. I wonder if you will ever do an episode about pickups? Cheers!
Sorry bro, couldn't catch you live. But I broke down and got a Monoprice Stage Right amp 15w. It is insane. The 1w attenuator on it is crazy good. It sounds like a Fender blues jr and a Vox had a baby. Lol The tone control is really cool on it. The spring reverb sounds good, but you have to really turn it up to get situated sound on it. Now I've heard if you switch it with a 3 spring, it really gets a much better saturation. A $20 or $30 fix. But it almost reminds me of a milkman kind of tone. You really should do a review on it.

There is a new battery wireless amp from harley Benton called "airborne go". It costs less than the "nux mighty air", does have a smartphone programme but doesn't have all the sound possibilities of the nux. It is only for guitar and I think it has only one 3" headphone. I haven't found anywhere a review of it. It would be nice if I could hear it first on this channel. (just have read that harley Benton have made this amp in collaboration with nux company). Interesting.

Shane, I have the MG15 with effects and was wondering what you would recommend for a home marshall amp and found it funny that you liked the MG as well. The only thing I had to do was to remove the back baffle because the amp was overheating. It sounds great and has that marshall sound. It's also Dave Simpson's favorite amp, he uses the older MG head.

31:13 It is funny mate, I'm also Lefty (ofcourze!), and I also own a DSL40C (70/80 yeah, I know), and I just sold my first amp ever, my lovely Marshall MG30FX. I put both on sale, that went first, and I kinda' sad because, between the two, I liked better the non-valvular! I don't know, sometimes the DSL40C is so ear-piercing and uneven in the frequencies deparment, while the MG30FX was always on point, plus it has a master control!
The DSL40CR that Shane has is so much different than the predecessor DSL40C. Way more Marshall sounding and has HUGE low end. I had both and way way way prefer the CR model. It's so much better. Definitely upgrade yours if you aren't satisfied with the old model. The CR is amazing.
Shane,i have the original DSL40C with the 70/80 speaker with another amp in front of it but not compleatly blocking the speaker in the DSL40C,it is kind of like a beam blocker filtering out the ice pick frequencies and sounds ok but what other speaker would sound better for my amp?

The best Marshall for home use is the Marshall Major.

Pretty good overall minus pedals like volume boosts. I did a video showcasing the pedals and so forth into one of them a while back.
