    @jakacspear,
    I've been messing around with the br-1600 for a few months so Im still new to recording. What I've done is: 1- record dry with no effect on multi-track mode . 2- Once track is recorded, I add effects to it.. 3-Then bounce to a different track or a v-track (if Im out of tracks) Then go to "track move" if I want to re-assign to the playback track.( Hope this makes sense). The DVD from these guys helped me quite a bit.

    The br-1600 starts out at song 12 because it has demo songs. To record, go to utility button click the arrow buttons tell it says song press new song and press enter wait for it to load, when finished, there will be a blinking light that's the track you record on plug in an instrument/mic press the record button make sure the gain, is turned up and the meter is moving and press play. to overdub on top of that track press zero, press track 2 button, press record, press play.

    yes the light should come on when the unit is on and when it does you should be able to change and select effects according to the import being used, ie guitar or vocals or multitrack or stereo. There are different effects for different inputs

    I'd have to agree with dynobutter. What I did was: I bought a Yamaha DTXIII S electronic drumkit. It plugs directly into the BR1600CD (no mics, no b.s.) and lots of killer drum sounds built in to the kit. (anything you can imagine, plus you can make your own kits) It sounds just as good if not better than real drums, and it sounds REAL beacause you are actually playing the kit. (no robotic drumbeats) the quality is far superior to mic'd drums and it will only cost you a little over $1,000. Thanx

    Hi
    Two ways .1 burn tracks to disc (wav or aiff ) then just use tis to import . This is done useing DATA SAVE?LOAD and not audio write.....Or 2 the easyiest
    Connect USB . click utility...then click USB...Then click export....pick your track...if you want to export more than one ...use cursr to go right then value dial to change to number2 and repeat ....You can even export V tracks on same track ...Then just click go ...It starts to write then your computer will recognise br1600
    easy !!

    I find mine is awesome for recording jams and songs when everythings already thought out, but working ideas / changing arrangements / drums/loop arrangement etc.. hard enough work to lose creativity when coming up with new ideas... but thats just me.

    The boss br 1600 track in reality its only 12 tracks, right ! I only see 12 volume controlers so Iam very confuse why they said its 16 tracks when it looks like 12 tracks...If you have any info please ley me know

      You can record to 16 tracks, 8 at once and the rest are sterio tracks, not individual tracks. Its still 16 track though and some things like vocals need sterio tracks in any case. The 9/10 track is reserved for mix down to be mastered but I'm pretty sure you can use the V tracks for this, although I'm not 100% sure. You can also bounce with no audio loss so you could theoretically record 30 tracks if you wanted. You would not be able to change the bounce tracks once they are printed on a mix down track/s so you would need to make sure your sub mixes were good. The Beatles used a 4 track then 8 track machine and they recorded a shitload of tracks and bounced them all down... and that was to tape. You should have no problems at all with tracks on this unit.

    so if you can only record 2 tracks at the same time, how would you record real drums? or does it have to be midi/drum machine?

    In need of a bit of help. Does anyone know, if its possible, how to individually choose an effect on each track while using the Multi-track mode? Im using 3 mics to record 3 different string instruments at the same time, but when I choose multitrack for live recording, I can only choose from the Multi-track effects which are terrible. I want to be able to assign each mic to its own vocal effect. Any help would be awwwesome. thanks.

    I have a Peavy VYPYR guitar amp and it has a USB jack. I want to play the amp and record direct into my Br-1600...but one problem, the USB jack in my amp and recorder is the same square-head input. Can I get a USB cord with 2 square heads on each end, and is it possible to record through my amp to my recorder this way? Any input would be greatly appeciated!

    • @dontfretguitar
      @dontfretguitar 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      THE BR1600 IS AN AMP, AND YOU DONT NEED TO PLAY THRU ANOTHER AMP WITH IT. YOU JUST NEED MONITORS FOR IT

    This wasn't shown on the BR1200 DVD tutorial!?
    I have to learn this the hard way.. It seem easier & a lot more option flexibility on the BR1600 though..
