Got the A9+, and i could not ask for more. Use it to surf , Videos streaming & play Musik over BT-Strereo in my Garden, so i dont have to carry my laptop around. Battary holds up far longer than a usual work/Garden Day. The performance fits the needs of everyday use, at least for 85% of people i think. The display is bright enough in my opinion. The Cam is maybe not the greates on the Planet- who cares? Just invest 20 min. to get the adjustmens right, and for 190€ you cant go wrong.
I have the A9 8/128 LTE Version and I strongly suggest paying an additional $50 to get it. Both 4gb ram and 64gb memory are barely enough for comfortable use today (considering the amount reserved by the system you ll have like 2.5gb ram and 50gb left for your tasks) and it will be probably not enough in a year or two with some heavy games. Also I haven't even known that the Wi-Fi version doesn't have a vibro (given that the device doesn't have any light indicators or amoled screen, vibro is almost the only way to know you have notifications with the screen turned off - Samsung devices can vibrate when you take them to notify you of missed ones). But overall the device is really nice, runs pretty smooth, has a very bright screen for a tft, and in general design gives the feeling of some premium gadget.
What was it slow with? I actually found navigation to be pretty smooth as I showed in the video, web browsing is fine, and gaming is good for me too. The 60hz feels sluggish but I wouldn't classify it as painful. I would say the Tab A7 Lite is painfully slow like I showed in the gaming test getting 10 fps but I'm curious to hear your findings
Most room for improvement is in the display department though for sure. In its own bubble its fine but compared to nearly any other display on the market its lacking
maybe you could try removing unnecessary animations that usually made it slow/lagging. you enable this in setting>accessibility>vision enhancement>enable remove animation. the navigation and such would be kind off kindle-ish and sometimes you have to gamble if the loading icon is actually loading 😂. So far that works best for me
2 questions 1. Can i connect a gaming controller to this tablet and use the controller exclusivley to operate the device? For instance, like a playstation controller? 2. I think you already said in the video, but you can put a sim card in this tablet and use it like a phone, right? So if i wanted to, i could install WhatsApp and use it on my tablet? Thanks!
What a disappointment it doesn't have a full HD resolution. It's like there's no good mid to mid-high range tablets between 8-9 inches anymore :( I was looking forward to replace my Lenovo Tab4 8 Plus.. but now I see I will have to wait for a bit longer until something better comes out on the market.
Ipad mini 6 is the best small size tablet imo. If u got the money, go for it. But if u are on a budget, Galaxy tab A9 can work if it just for reading pdf
I just bought an unlocked international version to use in US. Its in a sealed box with a warranty sticker for Africa. Can i be assured it's unlocked as advertised?
So I went to the phone store to pick an A9 last week. New in the box goes for $205 in my country for 128gb cellular version. Long story short, I picked up a second hand broken outer screen z fold 2 for $195 instead. Come on Samsung.
Great review. I think you can also mention Dolby Atoms, as it is a great feature. I got one 2 months ago as a portable device to use during my hour long commute everyday. I am an iOS user and have an iPad Pro 11”, and iPad Mini seems too expensive and overkill for my demand. At that time the market is flooded with basic WiFi version of A9 in 2nd hand market as they are used as gift for other products. I grip one in half price of my region (~$100), and I love it. The screen is bad in any means, but at lease it can do its job. The sounds is great with Dolby Atoms, no matter with it’s speakers or pairing with a Bluetooth headphone.4GB ram is a concern but not a big problem for me, at least right now. The only thing I regret is not getting a LTE version, but I managed to bough a 4G mobile router and somehow solved the problem.
I bought one here in the UK when it was reduced. It does what i need it to do but the screen is poor quality. Low'ish resolution, not that bright & with poor viewing angles. I do however like the screen size & the overall size of the tablet. But yeah, the screen isn't great.
Did u manage to find one yet ? And if so, what tablet did u find. As I'm looking for a good affordable small ish tablet that I can play pokemon go, stream on 😮
This is a best review of the A9, thank you!👌I can’t decide between the Galaxy Tab A9 and the iPad Mini 7. I’m in the Apple ecosystem, but the A9 is much more compact, and I think it would be perfectly adequate for average browsing and TH-cam. I love that form factor. Since both have 60 Hz displays, I’d rather spend €200 on the Samsung (8 GB, LTE) than €750 on the iPad Mini (5G). Plus, the Samsung has full phone functionality. Even though the iPad Mini has a higher resolution, its display doesn’t seem significantly better to me in person (I have an iPad Pro and an iPhone 13 Pro with 120 Hz displays, and compared to those, both are weaker). I’m leaning heavily toward the Samsung -what do you think after your 1.5 months experience? Thanks! 🙂
I’m considering getting one of these to do some work while walking/lightly jogging on a treadmill or riding a stationary bike. It would need to open some large/demanding PDF files (some of them can be as large as 80MB in side, but most of the time they’re within 10MB). Would this tablet cut it? Looking to get an 8GB/128GB model.
I have got to admit it i have mine about 3 months now and i'm not too happy with it. I'm the 70 years old and had samsung most of my adult life. The main thing for me is this is similar to windows in that every time i knew os comes out it requires more ram. Android sites and stuff recommend 8G for tablets these days. I'm visually impaired and can't use a cellphone this phone works great with the bigger keyboard and stuff. When i am on youtube for watching tv and stuff like that his locks up constantly and i have only got basic stuff on your. I did a factory reinstall without installing any samsung anything i passed on it and just install it mostly google. It's banana 2 weeks now and it's still locking up even though i put absolute and everything else and now android 15 is coming i'm wondering how that will work. These tablets need 8 gig minimum like you're giving to the plus. Also canada is selling this with the 8G so they're cutting us off for that phone. There's a couple reminder things that are the best but kind of disappointed in samsung not giving us tables with at least the minimal ram. I don't play games or nothing so i don't get it other than their saving every time they can
So, did you buy the 4 GB version and it's running slowly, or the 8 GB version and it's still slow? Thanks for your response because I'm considering whether to buy the 4 GB version, price diffenence is quite big.
@@gloczyslaw19 Pass on them both. Buy an Ipad 5 mini. You will never regret it. Great screen, fast, sure, low price now. Grab one. Dont sit there, do it.
My tablet charges in 2 hours also. I primarily watch TH-cam and scroll through X. I'm getting roughly 8 to 10 hours screen on time. The scream seems very bright
A9 should use 5G like A9+ instead of only 4G chipset, this is the only downside but in term of portability and functions, i think it beats A9+ hands down. The convenience of answering call without BT ear piece is already justified enough over the clunky A9+.
I think you're meant to stop charging at 85% to protect the battery, or that's what the newer Samsung phones advise 🤔 (and have an option for). I could get either the A9 or A9+ but for portability I'm thinking to get the A9... opens up more opportunities for working remotely, reading documents, still able to watch videos etc. without needing to lug around a bag. The A9 looks gorgeous in your review 👌
The A9 seems to have some compatibility issues with non Samsung chargers. (If only they would include one in the box) Mine would not charge above 97% with my 67W Xiaomi charger. I quess this tablet switches to a very slow charging speed for the last percents and the 67W charger is just too much. I would recommend to get the 8gb version, just to be more futureproof.
Is this tablet good enough for office works like using wps office , office suite and listing notes? If not please suggest some cheap decent tablet that's solely focus on productivity and nothing else
I would get the a9 plus for that because of the more generous screen space and resolution. with a portable keyboard it can work as a lightweight laptop.
I've owned one sub $200 tablet in Android space, it was unusuable within week from all the updates. Am just wondering if this will also happen here as Samsung does like to pre-install stuff.
Juat got this tablet. I wanna know if you can do this to the tablet. Can your tablet ring like ur phone when someone calls you? I want my tablet to ring when my phone does. I'm just asking does this tablet does that.
If you have a samsung phone, yes. You need to link to your phone and log into your samsung account on both devices, then activate call on other devices.
This tablet's a binge-watching beast - huge, clear display for shows on the go. S Pen feels like a real pen for notes & sketches. Battery lasts forever! Only issue? Kinda slippery. Fixed that with a clear, grippy gadgetshieldz body & screen film tho! Feels secure, screen's protected, all without the bulk. #WorthTheUpgrade
I wish it had slightly more powerful hardware. These are tough times for those who want a small but powerful tablet. I don't understand why we have to buy a bigger one to get a stronger one.
I would love to see this at least get on par with samsungs latest A series phones. 120hz, 1080p, midrange processor. I'd imagine it costing twice as much at around $250 once discounted but I'd happily pay that to get better hardware
It is a good budget tablet , but I would recommend going for the A9 plus it is much better and if you want it still then get the 8gb ram and 128 gb storage model for longer ter, of usage and I have the A9+ tab
Update: When using a 15W samsung charger this will charge in 2 hours instead of 3.
What are your thoughts on the Tab A9? Thanks for watching!

Hey are you using Razer Kishi Ultra or Razer Kishi V2 Ultra? because when i search online i cant find any Razer Kishi V2 Ultra
Just bought this for D&D so won't need anything major but seems I got a little more than I payed for not amazing looking but suits what I need it for
My tablet charges in 2 hours also. I primarily watch TH-cam and scroll through X. I'm getting roughly 8 to 10 hours screen on time. The scream seems very bright
Really helpful video! Thank you very much :)
A9 should use 5G like A9+ instead of only 4G chipset, this is the only downside but in term of portability and functions, i think it beats A9+ hands down. The convenience of answering call without BT ear piece is already justified enough over the clunky A9+.
I was surprised with how much I enjoyed the A9 despite the weaker specs Compared to A9+. Form factor is most important decision between the 2.
It's being released in USA?
Can this tablet do video out via USB C?
Standalone phone or need a samsung phone to use calls?
whats the model that is 8gb/128gb and that i can use as a full phone for calls texts and data? 110 or 115 or? it wasnt clear watching the video?
8GB RAM, 128GB, 4G, model X115
Mine is SAMSUNG A-8 almost three years now. Nice one. Ear phone is placed on the bottomm next to the power plug. 😊
Which pen is compatible with this tab?
Hi, 720p videos on my a9+ sucks in terms of quality. What about on this one? Is 720p videos fine? Especially for youtube videos.
Does it mean I need to charge 2 hours for only 6 hours screen time?
Just ordered one on sale direct from samsung for £57.. seemed worth it for that price.
Ive seen a deal here in the UK for £160 for the 128BG with 8GB ram version is that a good deal for this tablet?
I am considering to buy this to read music pieces while playing the piano. Is this good enough to do that? Many thanks.
Is there much a difference between the qound quality and loudness of the A9 wifi version (2 speakers) and the A9 LTE version (3 speakers)??
No, no diference
Thanks for great review. I just grabbed 1 for 120EUR.
Wich is better this one or the honor x 9 ?
Does it have smart view?
I think I'll get it. Do you think the aerofly fs simulator will run well it requires 8gb ram if you are not familiar you can check
Shane, you are excellent sir in all your vids/reviews !
Hi great video, can you confirm if you use Google play to download/install apps, and if so is the Spotify kids app available?
Yeah, Google Play works and the Spotify app is available(I don't know about Spotify kids tho')
There is no future proofing a tablet running on the Helio G99.
Looking to buy this specifically for old school runescape, noticed you have the mobile app downloaded.. how does it perform with this tablet??
It performs well
I've owned one sub $200 tablet in Android space, it was unusuable within week from all the updates. Am just wondering if this will also happen here as Samsung does like to pre-install stuff.
What do you think about this vs a ipad mini 5th gen with cellular?
Ipad mini anyday better thn this
Can it be used as a laptop? And can it support word and excel? 🤔
I would recommend the Tab A9+ for more of a laptop use. This Tab A9 does support those apps perfectly fine though
Thank you 😊
Does it support screen tapping to awake it?
Yes!
I just got this yesterday and I find it difficult to install my SIM card
I need help pls
Does it run on two screens?
One question brother, could you try the performance test in a video game called Blood Strike, I'm planning to buy it these days, greetings. ❤
I have the tab A 2019 model.
It is crap. Mostly due to the 2GB ram.
Looking forward to the 8GB model.
I will soon buy one, should I go for smaller one or...?
Nexus 7 vibes, miss this form factor 😮
Good unboxing!
I'm really impressed by this tablet, now I can find it for as low as $103 in my country
Tab A9+ is definitely the overall better pick between the 2. The A9 shines simply thanks to the form factor.
Could i fly a drone with this tab? Thanks for review
How do I know if it is the LTE or Wi-Fi version ? Buying for someone and don't want to pull it out of the box
X115 is LTE version, X110 is WIFI only version.
@@redbluedanielful Thank you
Can someone weigh in on how im going to like it for note taking in school?! Is there a keyboard case for it?
Did you get a response I am also interested
Ordered one for OSRS and I see it installed 😂 my man. How is it with this tablet?
thank you for showing the a9+ size comparisson
