A rainout at the huge Mount Dora, Florida antique show leaves me a day to kill with shopping fun! Kat @TheNurseFlipper and her family meet me at the Renninger's flea market, up the hill from where I've abandoned my show display to go shop with them...and you get to join us!
This is a true farmer's and flea market, with new and old goods, vintage and antiques spread between permanent displays, fly-by-night outdoor vendors and a large garden and livestock section. We look high and low for the vintage things we think we can afford to buy for resale, with a lot of fun and interesting stories and tips that come out along the way!
From mob connections to early eBay forays, we share a lot of great stories and useful tips in this different kind of shop-with-me video. Sharing the finds with another TH-camr adds to the fun, as good buys on original art, Jaru and McCoy metal-tone pottery and a fantastic Danish bar worth bringing back a truck for grab our attention! We find everything to buy, from costume jewelry to piggy banks to...well...an actual piglet! Can we resist?

Yes, Ebay's new search regimen is affecting my use of the site. It's like they want to make it very difficult for resellers to get info on their items. It's really rotten. I do a lot of purchasing on Ebay, so I don't feel like I'm only using that site for price checks. Great show. Thanks so much.

eBay's alleged match with photo doesn't work for vintage items. Sometimes Google's search does, but it turns up red herrings as often as not. As for that rosewood bar... makes me wish I drank!.

Hey George! A lot of items there, but I didn't really see much that interested me until the large aluminium cookware and pitchers. Several of those interested me. The Victorian folding chair was nice. How much were they asking for that? I liked the mortar and pestle on the rosewood bar. Lots to see there...just not a lot that garnered my interest. I'm sure all of you enjoyed the chance to get to shop. Thanks for the tour!!!

Well, heck. I just about missed you again. Today's adventure was a one on one art lesson with a 6 year old girl named Sonoma. We did watercolors. I wish it was the 4 year old, Vivian. She informed me that her scissor skills were "just awful".
Is it just me or do others find that Murano animals and clowns are kinda creepy with those googly eyes 👀? Lawd have mercy.
