Definitely an improvement over the old "Los Dodgers" blue jerseys. It would have been better to use gold flecks/stars against the creme color instead of the paint blotches imho.
They stopped wearing Los Doyers Jerseys when Julio Urías went to jail.

They better not change Cubs City Connect uniforms. This is much better for the Dodgers. Holy hell this is an improvement.
A massive improvement I think, I really like these. But as far as the Cubs go, I don’t like theirs. I think they’re among the worst. But that’s just my opinion obviously. We all like different things

I dunno man, just think it's cheap and pandering to put Los in front of Dodgers, when in English it isn't "The Dodgers" on the jersey. Hey, we gotta find a way to make it Spanish! In no way am I trying to exclude anyone. But if it were me as a native Spanish speaker I'd feel like this was cheap pandering.
Plus if they really wanted to go for a Spanish connection, they would’ve done “Los Doyers” instead.

As a die hard Dodgers fan the most to Vinny is the only thing I like.
I like it ALOT more then 1.0. i can't afford any of things from any team (MY Mariners one day i willl..) but this is alot better looking. its not to bland or over powering. the blue is nice but there TO much blue. with 2.0 its softer but still gets the points. Well done Dodgers.... Well Done.

The reason they changed it was because Julio Urias? He always liked to wear it and it had a connection to him, I can see that as a reason to distance the team from that.
The hats are cool, but the rest of the uniform is bad, and I feel like if you have to explain it, then it doesn’t really connect with the city or fans.
Dodgers could have done a jersey to highlight the port of LA Long Beach. Navy blue and green (the port of LA color) and work in either a crane or a container ship drawing in there. The port, warehouses and 18 wheelers is pretty much what employs most Angelinos, so an ode to those industries would be cool.

That first try they had was just awful. Everything just makes sense on this one and doesn’t look bad. I’ll agree that the torso area looks empty, but sometimes less is more.
I won’t buy City Connects but I’m glad they’re doing something different
It’s great. Everyone in La tries to be unique and new even if it makes no sense so I like the name below the number and the number below the team name
Hi Brodie, I liked how you described and showed the details to these new uniforms. I do like the “funfetti” as you call it and also the new hat. But do you know what’s with the “G” in a blue diamond on the right sleeve? I noticed it on the last picture showed on Ohtani’s uniform.

It is definitely a 2.0. D-backs will be replacing their Serpientes City Connect next year with a new design.

I think Ohtani’s 17 was also cut off, but it’s hard to tell because both numbers look almost right even if cut off.
As a lifelong Dodger fan and a native Angeleno, I will say that it's a marked improvement over the lazy, unimaginative "Los Dodgers" version. These look more like a City Connect should look like, though it doesn't exactly make my heart beat with civic pride. Of course all over the MLB, the 28 fanbases that got City Connect kit are all hard to please in varying degrees (though here in SoCal, everyone will agree that the Angels got the better City Connect in the region). The fans panned the Los Dodgers one but warmed up a little once they had a winning record wearing them. Will the same happen here? We'll see. I rate the v1 "Los Dodgers" a D and these v2s a C+.
So, a tribute to RED numbers is having blue numbers. What a tribute. You can come up with any design and make up a flowery description of how it represents a city.

Dodgers should have had a green yellow and red uniform based on the LA flag. Make the uniform so ugly that its cool. Kind of like the Astros rainbow uniforms from the 70s.

The Yankees will eventually get a city connect uniform, probably next season. I picture it being a home cream color uniform with navy pinstripes with "BRONX" as the word mark and the navy cap with the "NY" logo with a skyscraper in the background. Navy crown and white bill The Oakland A's kelly green "Oakland" jersey might as well be considered a city connect jersey.
the A's should get a "City Disconnect" one. They can make it look like a Sacramento Kings jersey for their temp city.
There's a guy in the Yankees org that is going to have them go all cotton for their unis - he says it's "more breathable".
Imagine it actually saying "Yankees" on it. That hasn't happened in a loooooooong time.

As a Dodgers fan. They really missed the mark here. other that ITFDB it misses the mark for me. Hat looks off two different fonts is not great. Why the strip on the pants and not the jerseys? Hat should have been a the "LA". with the baseball going through like is on the standard logo. They always wore the los dodgers when Urias pitched but didnt wear it after.
The red on the sleeves is to tie in the Nike logo. So you notice the logo. IMO

I am a uniform purist. I didn’t even like the “Los Angeles” gray road jersey. Forever script,”Dodgers “ iconic on the road as they are at home.
If I were the dodgers I would do a city connect jersey based on the NWO Hollywood Hogan with black, and white with the Hollywood sign displayed instead of Los Angeles. The hat should have been the old Hollywood stars logo.

I LOVE the jersey without the paint as well. It’s definitely influenced by the Rams. I like the cream color.

They’re not the worst set of City Connect jerseys that I’ve seen. That’s also not saying much.
Nike is just inept. They would be able to print money if they even put in a little bit more effort with a design. They always should have made all of the city connects made by a local artist from each city.
I like it, but I don't get what it has to do with LA, unless it's explained like in this video....pretty artsy fartsy, but really nice looking in the end.

Colors matter. Dodger blue was iconic. As was the powder blue of UCLA and the North Carolina blue. Teams which have been around as long as the Dodgers should not mess with their colors. I'm no Green Bay Packer fan but I can't imagine that team messing with those green and yellow colors. Same deal with the Browns. I nominate the Red Sox city connects as the WORST baseball uniforms ever worn.
This jersey would've been a little better if they put Dodgers in front instead of los Angeles nd take off the birthday cake dots🤷🏽♂️

As a uniform, meh. It's not terrible but not at all inspired. I certainly won't be buying one.
But what I really hate is all the fluffy marketing bs that goes along with all of these unis, logos, colors (this isn't limited to sports either)... "Its upward trajectory mirrors the city's relentless drive..." - what a bunch of drivel. Absolutely NOBODY other than the marketing people care about that cr@p.
With the salaries on that team they need to come up with a new one a week to pay their players . That’s where the A’s are smart .. Their city connect is a T-shit with a homeless guy pushing a shopping cart stencil that you draw on your own shit
These jerseys are hideous. Confetti cake and space inspired someone was on that narcotic when they designed these.

I think the Los Dodgers hat and jerseys are fine but too much when worn together, I think the Los Dodgers uniforms would’ve been perfect with just a normal Dodgers hat.
They actually revised it in 2022 with white pants (instead of the blue ones) and a modified "LA" cap.
@@elsongs I didn’t mind the all blue pants and jersey but I feel like a blue jersey with white pants looks like a batting practice jersey or spring training uniform. The hat being exactly the same as the jersey is what ruined the look of the whole uniform. They should’ve just done a normal LA hat or something like this new hat with the D and LA and it would’ve been a great uniform. They could’ve made the Los Dodgers hats and sold them if they wanted but they never should’ve been worn on the field they’re terrible. When else have you ever seen another hat with that much text on the front of it? It looks so wrong plus it’s exactly the same thing that is on the jersey so it’s repetitive and looks even more wrong. I really don’t understand how some of these uniforms make it past the initial design phase and onto the field.
Both of these are just lazy in my opinion.
