      The instructional video is designed to provide an all-encompassing guide for users, extending beyond mere cable connection and power supply. It details how to connect the antenna to the correct "Antenna In" or "TV" input, offers guidance on identifying nearby broadcast towers, and provides recommendations for optimal antenna placement. Additionally, it emphasizes the necessity of conducting a channel scan for accessing free over-the-air broadcast signals. We strive to offer comprehensive assistance to cater to a wide range of user expertise levels.

    I have like 80 free channels. Comet TV being the best! But I get football, movies, TV shows all free.
    You have to put the antenna itself outside, high up preferably with nothing above it. The higher up the better your line of sight to the broadcast tower. Next scan for the channels on the TV, all TVs have this option. Just go into the TVs menu system. Most TVs now have basically the same looking menu, the option will usually be in the middle. Select 'digital' and 'antenna' scan on the TV menu. The TV will then scan the channels you get. If you do a scan with the antenna outside you'll get a bunch of channels. You do it inside you'll get half the amount of channels. And the channels you do get will look like a DVD video when the disc is scratched.

    I have installed several outdoor antennas. Indoor amplified antennas are useless. Amplifiers are good at boosting received signals for splitting. Amplifiers will not boost a signal you can't normally receive. Rabbit ears are just as good or better than these flat antennas, and you can easily rotate them. There is no such thing as an HD antenna. Antennas capture carrier waves which have basically been the same since the beginning of broadcast TV. I did install a 50 element RCA antenna last week. It's 23 feet up and it is picking up a low VHF station 60.6 miles away and all the surrounding UHF stations without a rotor. I am not using an amplifier and it is split to 4 TV sets. In a pinch, an omni directional FM antenna will pick up TV stations up to 25 uninterrupted miles away.

    • @RCAantennas

      The signal strength at your specific location is indeed the key factor in determining whether any antenna can successfully receive a signal. Factors like distance from broadcast towers, physical obstructions, and even the materials in your home can all impact reception quality. Additionally, if you’re moving the antenna to different locations and not performing a new channel scan after each move, the results may be less accurate and could even make the reception worse. A new scan is necessary each time you adjust the antenna’s position to ensure the TV can detect all available channels in that spot.

      The channel scan is a function of your TV and not the antenna. Unfortunately, each TV manufacturer has a different process on how to get to the channel scan function. The channel scan is typically found within your TV menu settings, so please refer to your TV owners manual for those specific steps on how to perform a channel scan.

    • @RCAantennas
      @RCAantennas  หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you are trying to use the antenna through a satellite input, it’s important to note that satellite inputs do not connect to the TV's built-in digital ATSC tuner. The ATSC tuner, which is built into the TV, is designed specifically for receiving over-the-air broadcast signals from an antenna, not satellite signals. To use your RCA antenna properly, make sure it is connected to the TV’s “Antenna” or “Air” input, then run a channel scan through the TV’s menu to access free over-the-air channels.

    I have completed all the steps several times. I do not get the channels that the tower locator says I should receive. I do receive a few channels, but only a few. For a while I had about 10 channels, but for some reason over Labor Day weekend, it got shortened to 5 channels. I think that's when 5G went live. I do not get nearly the bevy of channels that are advertised. I guess that was too much to ask for. And as far as it being multi-directional -- I don't understand, if it captures signals from 360 degrees, then why do I need to position it just perfectly towards a cell tower to get anything at all?

    Cómo instalar antena ala tv

    • @RCAantennas
      @RCAantennas  20 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Para instalar una antena en su televisor, siga estos pasos:
      • Conecte la antena: Enchufe el cable coaxial de la antena en la entrada de "ANT IN" o "ANTENA" que se encuentra en la parte trasera de su televisor.
      • Coloque la antena: Ubique la antena en una posición elevada, preferiblemente cerca de una ventana que esté orientada hacia las torres de transmisión locales para una mejor recepción.
      • Realice una búsqueda de canales: Encienda el televisor y vaya al menú de configuración. Busque la opción de "Escaneo de canales" o "Buscar canales" y seleccione "Aéreo" o "Antena" como fuente de entrada. Este escaneo es necesario para que el televisor pueda captar los canales disponibles en su área.

      Sorry to read that the antenna did not work for you when you tried it at your specific location. Hopefully we can offer a couple tips that may help get you watching Free HDTV. First of all, we want to make sure that you performed a channel scan using your TV’s menu system. This is the most important and most often over-looked step after connecting the RCA antenna to the TV. Unfortunately each TV manufacturer has a different process on how to get to the channel scan function within its menu settings, so you will have to look at your TV owners manual for those specific steps. Also, make sure your TV input is set to "Antenna" or "Air" or something similar. Also, if you can place the antenna near (or in) a window facing the broadcast tower general direction the better your chances are of receiving a signal. It also helps when you completely uncoil the antennas cable before running the channel scan. If all of that does not work, I would check your TV to ensure that it does indeed have an ATSC tuner which is needed to receive today’s digital broadcast signals. Most TV's built around 2007 have this type of tuner. An easy way to find out is by finding your TV model number and doing a Quick Google Search for your TV model number. The type of tuner should be an “ATSC” (not an NTSC) as mentioned above. If it does not, you will need to purchase a digital converter box. If you can send us a quick email to RCAAntennaHelp@voxxintl.com with your zip code we can take a look to see what other specific information we may be able to provide to help you get watching Free HDTV.

      Thank you for reaching out, and we’re sorry to hear that you encountered issues with your RCA antenna at your location. We have a few tips that may help you start watching free HDTV. First, please ensure that you performed a channel scan using your TV’s menu system. This step is crucial and often overlooked after connecting the RCA antenna to your TV. As the process for accessing the channel scan feature varies by TV manufacturer, you may need to refer to your TV’s user manual for specific instructions. Additionally, please confirm that your TV’s input is set to "Antenna" or "Air."
      For optimal reception, try placing the antenna near a window facing the direction of the broadcast towers, as this can improve signal strength. It’s also important to fully uncoil the antenna’s cable before running the channel scan. If you still experience issues, please verify that your TV has an ATSC tuner, which is required for receiving digital broadcasts. Most TVs manufactured around 2007 and later include this tuner. To check, you can search your TV model number online; look for an "ATSC" tuner rather than an "NTSC" tuner. If your TV lacks an ATSC tuner, a digital converter box will be necessary.
      For further assistance, feel free to email us at RCAAntennaHelp@voxxintl.com with your zip code, and we’ll be happy to provide additional guidance tailored to your area.

      The signal strength from your local broadcast towers, at your exact location, is the major factor on whether an antenna can receive a signal. No antenna will receive a signal that isn't there. There are some locations where it is difficult to secure a watchable signal due to other factors. Some of those other factors include things such as the surrounding terrain, whether or not you have a line-of-sight to the local broadcast towers and even the materials used in construction of your dwelling have an impact on the signal strength indoors. Typically, if you can place your antenna high up, near a window that faces the direction of your local broadcast towers, you will likely have better luck getting a signal. Always remember to rescan for channels through your TV menu settings any time you move your antenna. If you did not rescan for channels after relocating the antenna, any new and expected changes in channels/reception would not be accurate and would likely be much worse. If you can send us an email at RCAAntennaHelp@voxxintl.com we would be glad to assist you in determining which antenna would be best for your location.

      Have you performed a channel scan using your TV’s menu system as noted in the Quick Start Guide of the antenna? This is the most important and most often overlooked step after physically connecting the antenna to the TV. Your TV will not recognize any channels unless this step is performed. Unfortunately, each TV manufacturer has a different process on how to get to the channel scan function. The channel scan is typically found within your TV menu settings, so please refer to your TV owners manual for those specific steps on how to perform a channel scan as it is a function of your TV and not the antenna. The channel scan on some TV’s will take some time so please be patient. One the channel scan is complete, you should be able to view channels on your TV.

      The RCA Antenna does not need to be connected to the internet in order to receive your local free over-the-air broadcast TV signals.
