I bought that Darkthrone long sleeve shirt at Wacken 2004 where Nocturno Culto played some 30 mins of Darkthrone songs during Satyricon's gig.

Good interview. It is very rare to hear a black metal musician say openly that he likes H.I.M. In the South American black metal scene that would be a suicide! Personally, I think it is very good for musicians to have that sincerity. Greetings from Venezuela!

I appreciate his anti-elitism, anti-political stances. Personally I like Peste Noire's music because the more recent releases are not political, but let's be honest here, Famine (the frontman) is a fascist, he himself admitted that. So let's be real with some things. There is an ongoing debate with nsbm or rabm. Some people see it as a disgrace because they have brought a conflict in bm which only existed in punk beforehand and now you have antifa, neo-nazis and a lot of elitists and it's not that cool especially for us neutrals which just want to enjoy the music. Other people think it's actually nice, because it shows how diverse and free bm is and the majority do not care for their politics or elitists. I tend to agree with both parts. I do think there's some conflict but also the majority don't care. Personally I love that black metal has so many subgenres and I find it funny that some idiots take music so seriously lol, it's like part of the experience to have a kid tell you "X band is gay" or "Not hateful enough". To each their own I guess.
I find it funny that so many people have hard time understanding that music comes first: not politics, not artists' personal views or lyrics. Of course these all affect how the whole band is seen, but good riffs are good riffs despite what the artist says or writes.
@@RautaMetal yes mr. Rauta, good riffs are good riffs and good music is good music, but Famine is national socialist and a fascist, and that's a fact. We can separate his music from his self and band image though.
Personally, lyrics is the last thing I care about. I like the instrumentation and a AAAAAAAAAGH is sufficient for me to fill up the vocal part :)).
Indeed. And some politics or opinions annoy or bother, one just should not buy that music I reckon.

I really enjoy what you do, the best thing about metal is the music but also the inside ideology of each member, make this the true lovers of metal just more intrigue in this world, so I thank you for making it happen. I personally love the early Horna Albums but i find it very interesting that they always deny their tendencies to the right wing. If you take a look at the lyrics from Shatraugs side project "Blutschrei" especially songs like "white agony" and "battle for survival". Nontheless, even if i dont agree with his views everyone has a right of freedom of speech. I just dont like it when people deny their views when it is obvious.

Rauta! Justin from Salem MASS here! Long time no chat my friend! Just wanted to thank you for all of your extremely enjoyable and watchable content and tell you that your videos get are prime and mandatory viewing while here in the gym! I wanted to check in and ask you, Horna is set to play their final USA date here this coming Wednesday! Do you recommend attending? I’ll be going regardless, but thought I’d garner your opinion first! It’s only a short run they’re on here, in which many of the shows have already been cancelled thanks to fucking ANTIFA scum! But thankfully a few of the cancellations have been able to be made up at other venue locations. IF, and IF they don’t have the gig shut down here next week, I’m really looking forward to it! Rumor has it in Houston at the Texas date there was sightings of AK-47s outside of the venue. Wild stuff happening here in 2019. But however on the bright side, it’s sure as shit making Black Metal dangerous again ⚔️

Neither Horna nor Baptism have any lyrics that deal with, White supramacy, Arayiism ,Nazism, Political statements or anything remotely like this.
