I completely agree. I've re-watched that tear jerking repeated crying moment at least 15 times and I noticed something, The anime industry has been doing their homework. The way he was stabbed, "Zero" had no intention of actually killing him. If you watch closely. his sword went through that small space if emptiness. Between the diaphragm and vital organs. Missing his esophagus and lings ad went right through. Therefore, an extremely high chance of survival but takes great precision and/or luck. The Immortality thing is also logical. But my idea is perfectly acceptable....right? #CANON

This is my belief on that: Lelouch's greatest plan, the requiem, was a success and changed the entire world for the better, but made it so that he would never know that world. Light's greatest plan (the one at the END of DN anyways) was to selfishly kill a handful of people to save his own skin. People who compare Lelouch and Light, to me, are quite silly. Because Lelouch, in my opinion, was never after power for power's sake like Light. He was after power for the sake of changing the world.

Why else would CC had agreed to the hole Zero Requiem if she would be still alive and still coudnt die. She would need to spread geass again, which Lelouch would have never agreed to. with him becoming a nameless immortal(demon to her witch^^) he basically stops geass from spreading any more.
Code Geass Ending: They showed the entire cart driver from toe to head without showing his face. C.C talks to the cartman as if she were talking to Lelouch (and not to the heavens cause she is first looking at the sky then tilts her head back towards the cartman for confirmation to her question.) and then they show the pink crane. The pink crane was something nunnaly gave to lelouch and he never gave it to c2. neither did c2 have any confrontation with nunnaly. So that is Lelouch's paper crane. Lelouch got his code from killing another immortal and not his contractor. so he can use both code and geass. and yet have immortality. I will watch the video now.
My only fear is that having code + geass + his genius brain will make Lelouch OP as hell in the new season. I hope they don't fk it up because Code Geass is one of my fave anime...

No show is perfect and there is every chance for them to fuck it up in season 3 because season 2's ending was intended to be final and not for a continuation. honestly, I think there is so much evidence, that it shouldn't be considered a theory anymore. It's pretty much cannon in the old Japanese version, and there's so much evidence which can't be explained otherwise such as her memories. As well as CC's reaction to his death - ie: no reaction whatsoever. And he seems too good a strategist to not be able to think that far ahead. And remember that he also has his sister to care for, a sister that he would give everything for; for her sake, would he just randomly die? robbing her of his protection? There were also other methods of killing himself without actually doing it, bullets with fake blood, explosions and all that. It seems almost impossible that he not think about any of those, unless he actually wanted to die.

Very well explained. Lelouch definitely has V2's code, by killing his father, and then dying himself. He is the driver of that carriage. I think he does have his Geass, seeing how he did not take CC's code. Another thing is why are they making another season. He did what was needed, can we not end on that happy note? There is always a bigger chance they will mess with the new season.
I mean if Lelouch lived it would make the ending less meaningful. You lose the if you plan to kill then be prepared to die parallel from season 1, you have CC and Suzaku being very upset over a plan that ultimately has no consequence etc. All in all it makes the ending feel cheap. Also now we know Lelouch did in fact die so that's all good.

That's not how that works. CC could only take the Nun's code by killing her because the nun wanted to die. You take a code by fulfilling a contract, not by killing. Charles takes VV's code after the sword of Akasha is built, because it fulfills their contract and he's sick of VV. VV dies of wounds taken from battle that haven't healed yet. Lelouch kills Charles, and the code dies with him. Lelouch makes CC feel alive again, which fulfills her contract. Lelouch obtains CC's code. (Which is never seen on her again after the battle with Schneizel.) Suzaku completes the zero requiem, which fulfills a contract he'd made with Lelouch. Lelouch dies, Suzaku now possesses the code.

The sword of Akasha was complete, which was all they needed to complete Ragnarok. Since it was ready, and Charles DID intend on using it, that may have counted as completing the contract, since a world without lies was about to happen. I DO know what you mean. Lelouch was able to communicate telepathically with Nunnaly because he had CC's code at the time. Their contract was complete after the battle for Damocles.
I remember reading about lelouch becoming r2 (immortal), and i always beliveved that he was on that wagon with c2. I'm so glad I stuck to that theory cause it makes the new season something to be excited about.

Nunnally has that almost completely unrecognized in the show ability to read hands, and I suppose to some extend see the truth through touch, which is why when she grabbed for Suzaku when asking about Lelouch in R2 he recoils away knowing she will be able to see what has happened or at the very least find out if he is telling her the truth.
Theres no way Nunnally could have seen in exact detail the events that took place in private between Lelouch and Suzaku, her ability to read hands probably only extends to knowing whether or not someone is lying, similar to how a polygraph works.
She canonically had a vision here, IIRC. This isn't her just reading hands. That being said, people here are misreading things. Charles' code vanished with him. He actually obtained CC's code, by making her feel alive again. Also, he died here. He formed a contract with Suzaku, which was fulfilled by the stabbing. When he passed out from blood loss, the code was passed along to Suzaku, and Lelouch died.
Dang. I thought that any kind of reasoning for bringing Lelouch back would mean the destruction of the two series before it. But seriously, this theory not only makes that death still valid and a wonderful way to end R2, but it makes his death, new resurrection, and the story connection even stronger for R3 when it comes out if this is indeed how he "survived". I hope so because this is really brilliant.

Hero A That's irrelevant mate. She became a child to survive, as she was shot at numerous times. Lelouch was stabbed so could have also moved his conscience to another body. Also his Mum said as long as her body was preserved, she might be able to re-enter it, Lelouch may have re-entered his body later.
Um... You do know that when they died Lelouch didn't suddenly have 3 types of geas right? He couldn't have changed bodies because that's not how geass works. You can't just kill someone and claim their geass.

lelouch is almost synonymous with jesus, he died for everyone and just like jesus he obviously came back to life. on another note, when you think about it how on earth could have zero requiem worked out, i mean he's dealing with war/aggression as if it's something we consciously want to do, but it's not, it's the subconscious desire to dominate that fuels war and aggression, conflict etcetera. so all he did was kinda wipe the slate clean and not destroy our root desire to dominate, much like jesus where he only wiped our sin slate clean but not stop our root desire to sin.

Because, Lelouch and Suzaku just traded lives. Suzaku's wish for redemption led him to hate himself, throw himself into insane and reckless situations with the hope of dying to atone for his sins. He felt like he didn't deserve companions, or any positive things in his life. It took over a decade for him to hate himself even a little less. He knows full well what kind of life Lelouch just stepped into. Meanwhile, Suzaku was just handed the life of a savior on a silver platter.
It's actually easier. Suzaku just don't know Lelouch is immortal. Most likely, even C2 don't. Maybe even Lelouch himself didn't know about it. I would love to see a scene where Lelouch just wake up from his grave, or better : he was throw into the ocean (with Zero's Mask as a memorial) but survived thanks to the code, drifting to a coast with his mask. It would explain the scene in the trailer where we see Zero's mask on a beach gliding on waves. Well, it's just a theory...
It's still bittersweet. Akame survived, but she lost so many friends and in the end had to become the enemy of the new government. That's what bittersweet is. Of course, the manga itself had a better ending that was still bittersweet.
if you ask me, it was obvious from the end of season 2, i mean even an image got found from 2009 where you could see lelouch in the same outfit as the cart driver and CC in the same outfit as in the ending, and this was before the ending was out.
Lets get one thing clear, i watched both seasons of code geass and theres one thing everyone over looked, he made a CONTRACT with C2. What does that mean oh i don't know maybe when lelouch made a contract with someone making him damn near immortal like how C2 was. Also at the end of season 2 C2 is no more meaning lelouch furfilled his contract with C2.
No you dummy, he made a contract with her for GEASS. the contract was for the ABILITY. The contract is up to HER if it's fulfilled or not. He killed his father and took his CODE. the CODE is what makes you immortal once you experience death.
That's not how that works. You take the code by fulfilling the geass contract. CC took the nun's code by killing her because she wanted to die. Killing her was enough to fulfill the contract. It isn't up to the code bearer if the contract is fulfilled or not; Charles stripped VV of his code after he built the sword of Akasha, which was sufficient to satisfy their contract to create a world without lies. (VV did die, but from unrelated injuries sustained in battle.) Lelouch had no contract with his father; Charles' code died with him. HOWEVER, Lelouch DID satisfy his contract with CC by making her feel alive again, as she put it, putting a smile on her face. That's the code he had at the end, that's why he could communicate telepathically with Nunnaly there. ...However, he formed a contract with Suzaku, which was fulfilled with his death; Lelouch wanted to destroy the age of kings, and build a world where people are free & peaceful. Lelouch created a single point of failure for his monarchy, and Suzaku toppled it by killing him. Contract fulfilled. It is, in fact, Suzaku who is the only known code bearer at the end.

You know my theory about this is this: Lelouch can use the Code and the power of the Geass at the same time because he took the Code from Charles and not the CC, simply put, the CC made a contract with that nun but after that CC killed her she lost the Geass but won the Code and the same with Charles and VV after Charles killed V.V. he got the Code but lost the Power of his Geass what I am saying then is that if a Geass user kills the person with whom he made the contract he wins the Code the more he loses the Geass, only if a Geass user a person who has the Code he signed the contract he wins the Code and continues with Geass as was the case with Lelouch when he killed Charles.

In my opinion the name code geass is just the name but what if the codes C.C and V.V get are coming from the ones who gave them the geass. What if those codes are geass codes and you have to not only equip a geass but evolve it to the highest of level in order to get a code. And I think getting a code involves dying while having a full power geass, then being reincarnated, or it is passed on by code bearers like C.C. Lelouch will become immortal and yeah the mark he gets from his dad looks like a code but he still has the geass so maybe he either is the most powerful geass bearer allowing him to hold both code and geass. Maybe he is the only one that can equip both.

Wow this is a very well done video! There are SO many videos, but many of them include inaccurate stuff or miss other important things, I think you did a good job with this! Especially with addressing how the writer said Lelouch died, but that doesn't mean he's necessarily still dead. There is one big thing you (and basically everyone) seem to have missed though, and it relates to one of the biggest plot threads of the show: CC's contract with Lelouch, in that he must grant her her wish. CC's wish was to die, but then Lelouch convinced her she should at least die with a smile on her face, so she decided to not give her Code to Charles. I don't think it's ever stated but it should be obvious what the new contract is: to live a life happy with Lelouch. I'll elaborate. CC never truly experienced life being treated as a proper human being. She grew up and was mistreated for being a poor slave (begger?). From the point she got Code, she was hated as a witch. Lelouch however, treated her with dignity and love. This is why CC changed her mind and didn't want to die. Now, if CC wanted to live with Lelouch, why would she help with Zero Requiem? Recall her fight with Kallen at the end: Kallen questions why she would help Lelouch, and she said it's time to stop accumulating experiences and to start living. If you paid attention to the show, you'd know that "accumulating experiences" references her suffering over the years as an immortal witch detached from society and human bonding, and "start living" means to start living as a human being who can experience and give love, particularly with Lelouch her beloved. There's also the scene where Lelouch, before parting with CC when they're inside the Damocles so he can go find Nunally, where he salutes her and promises her he will return and not fail. Why would he promise this if after seizing the control to the Damocles, and thus declaring himself as emperor of the world, he would not be able to see CC again? (It's possible he might somehow be able to meet with CC in secret, but that still wouldn't make much sense if it meant he'd just die soon later). The only way this can all make sense is if Lelouch is alive. Otherwise, CC's contract and wish was never fulfilled, and fulfilling her contract was one of the biggest plot threads in the show. There's also the fact that, for those who are uncomfortable with the thought of Lelouch living, Lelouch told Suzaku he can't take the easy way out and dying but must instead continue to live and suffer and offer his serves to help people. There are punishments WORSE than death. If Suzaku continuing to live with a new identity, and surrendering the pleasures of his old life, was a punishment more painful to him personally than death, then Lelouch still being alive can also be seen as a more severe punishment than death. After all, the Code has to go SOMEWHERE. Would he give the Code to someone else, cursing them with immortality and experience a painful life like CC had? He's done enough sinful things already. By being alive and carrying the burden of the Code AND having to be ready at any time to offer his services again to help the world should it need him, I think it is a fitting and more severe punishment than simply dying and not being able to help people anymore. If you wanted Lelouch to be dead just for his sins, and completely disregarding the contributions he could still make to help society should trouble arise again, that's just being vengeful for the sake of revenge, which is criticized in Code Geass. As an extra thought, everyone seems to forget that the co-creator and director of Code Geass, Goro Taniguchi, said many years ago that it would be a dream project to do a movie for Code Geass. Why is the announcement of R3 such a surprise? They were just waiting for Akito to finish. It is not just a cash grab, Taniguchi himself was devastated with all the production trouble that affected R2 when he couldn't make it exactly match his vision and wanted to apologize to the fans. He wouldn't agree to making a cash grab movie if it meant ruining his magnum opus.

I was always under the impression that the conspicuous lack of Emperor Lelouch using his Geass during the final arc of R2 was because he'd already become immortal (during a successful assassination attempt early in his reign), and that he was just stringing Suzaku along after that point for the sake of ensuring Nunnally's longterm safety. But your explanation regarding the "contract with yourself" paradox explains so much, so well. Thank you.

I feel like the writers were hinting at this idea from the start of the show, "CODE GEASS: Lelouch of the Rebellion", as in Lelouch (of the Rebellion) IS Code Geass... both a Code and a Geass user, by the end of the show.... And to prove the point at 9:45 Lelouch's alias in Japanese is "Rurūshu Ranperūji", or R2.

makes sence, C2's name becomes C2 after the code activates so he would have died, and be reborn no longer being classifed as Leleouch. the concept of the name actually having some form of connection to it's story also is common enough. it also explains how he is alive despite being stabbed. if he has his geass then it's within reason that afterbeing taken for burial he used geass to make them think they buried him, it doesn't need to get everyone as just the meer presence of a grave is more than enough, there are graves with no people there, espically in war time
Around 1:00 into the R3 trailer you can see the cart from the ending and it's tipped over in the desert, during that scene you see C.C and another person (probably Lelouch) riding camels in the background

That rumor that you mention where you see the cart driver smile is true, I was watching the anime when it was first release and got unofficially subbed and the scene was there. Unless someone edited the final episode within a week while subbing it I doubt that it is false. From what I understand they later removed it in future iterations to give the ending a more open interpretation.

One major plot point for him beeing alive as a nameless imortal beeing is his promise to CC. He promised her to die with a smile on the face and to not be alone anymore. by becoming immortal and beeing in the same boat as her he achieves that. Why else would CC had agreed to the hole Zero Requiem if she would be still alive and still coudnt die. She would need to spread geass again, which Lelouch would have never agreed to. with him becoming a nameless immortal(demon to her witch^^) he basically stops geass from spreading any more.

The pink crane was something nunnaly gave to lelouch and he never gave it to c2. neither did c2 have any confrontation with nunnaly. So that is Lelouch's paper crane. Lelouch got his code from killing another immortal and not his contractor. so he can use both code and geass. and yet have immortality. I will watch the video now.

honestly, I think there is so much evidence, that it shouldn't be considered a theory anymore. It's pretty much cannon in the old Japanese version, and there's so much evidence which can't be explained otherwise such as her memories. As well as CC's reaction to his death - ie: no reaction whatsoever.
And he seems too good a strategist to not be able to think that far ahead.
And remember that he also has his sister to care for, a sister that he would give everything for; for her sake, would he just randomly die? robbing her of his protection?
There were also other methods of killing himself without actually doing it, bullets with fake blood, explosions and all that. It seems almost impossible that he not think about any of those, unless he actually wanted to die.

But that anomaly of Naunnaly somehow witnessing the events leading up to the Zero Requiem falls in line with a Code’s ability to share their experiences with others through a touch.

Very well explained. Lelouch definitely has V2's code, by killing his father, and then dying himself. He is the driver of that carriage. I think he does have his Geass, seeing how he did not take CC's code. Another thing is why are they making another season. He did what was needed, can we not end on that happy note? There is always a bigger chance they will mess with the new season.

That's not how that works. CC could only take the Nun's code by killing her because the nun wanted to die. You take a code by fulfilling a contract, not by killing.
Charles takes VV's code after the sword of Akasha is built, because it fulfills their contract and he's sick of VV. VV dies of wounds taken from battle that haven't healed yet.
Lelouch kills Charles, and the code dies with him.
Lelouch makes CC feel alive again, which fulfills her contract. Lelouch obtains CC's code. (Which is never seen on her again after the battle with Schneizel.)
Suzaku completes the zero requiem, which fulfills a contract he'd made with Lelouch.
Lelouch dies, Suzaku now possesses the code.

I said the same theory years ago and was absolutely smashed with comments by everyone who read it, all disagreeing. But i still knew in my heart of hearts I spoke the truth.Good work mate glad im not the only one who came the same conclusion.
Nunnally has that almost completely unrecognized in the show ability to read hands, and I suppose to some extend see the truth through touch, which is why when she grabbed for Suzaku when asking about Lelouch in R2 he recoils away knowing she will be able to see what has happened or at the very least find out if he is telling her the truth.
Theres no way Nunnally could have seen in exact detail the events that took place in private between Lelouch and Suzaku, her ability to read hands probably only extends to knowing whether or not someone is lying, similar to how a polygraph works.
She canonically had a vision here, IIRC. This isn't her just reading hands.
That being said, people here are misreading things. Charles' code vanished with him. He actually obtained CC's code, by making her feel alive again.
Also, he died here. He formed a contract with Suzaku, which was fulfilled by the stabbing. When he passed out from blood loss, the code was passed along to Suzaku, and Lelouch died.

Dang. I thought that any kind of reasoning for bringing Lelouch back would mean the destruction of the two series before it. But seriously, this theory not only makes that death still valid and a wonderful way to end R2, but it makes his death, new resurrection, and the story connection even stronger for R3 when it comes out if this is indeed how he "survived". I hope so because this is really brilliant.

Because, Lelouch and Suzaku just traded lives.
Suzaku's wish for redemption led him to hate himself, throw himself into insane and reckless situations with the hope of dying to atone for his sins. He felt like he didn't deserve companions, or any positive things in his life. It took over a decade for him to hate himself even a little less. He knows full well what kind of life Lelouch just stepped into. Meanwhile, Suzaku was just handed the life of a savior on a silver platter.
It's actually easier. Suzaku just don't know Lelouch is immortal. Most likely, even C2 don't. Maybe even Lelouch himself didn't know about it. I would love to see a scene where Lelouch just wake up from his grave, or better : he was throw into the ocean (with Zero's Mask as a memorial) but survived thanks to the code, drifting to a coast with his mask. It would explain the scene in the trailer where we see Zero's mask on a beach gliding on waves.

if you ask me, it was obvious from the end of season 2, i mean even an image got found from 2009 where you could see lelouch in the same outfit as the cart driver and CC in the same outfit as in the ending, and this was before the ending was out.
Lets get one thing clear, i watched both seasons of code geass and theres one thing everyone over looked, he made a CONTRACT with C2. What does that mean oh i don't know maybe when lelouch made a contract with someone making him damn near immortal like how C2 was. Also at the end of season 2 C2 is no more meaning lelouch furfilled his contract with C2.
No you dummy, he made a contract with her for GEASS. the contract was for the ABILITY. The contract is up to HER if it's fulfilled or not. He killed his father and took his CODE. the CODE is what makes you immortal once you experience death.
That's not how that works.
You take the code by fulfilling the geass contract. CC took the nun's code by killing her because she wanted to die. Killing her was enough to fulfill the contract.
It isn't up to the code bearer if the contract is fulfilled or not; Charles stripped VV of his code after he built the sword of Akasha, which was sufficient to satisfy their contract to create a world without lies. (VV did die, but from unrelated injuries sustained in battle.)
Lelouch had no contract with his father; Charles' code died with him.
HOWEVER, Lelouch DID satisfy his contract with CC by making her feel alive again, as she put it, putting a smile on her face.
That's the code he had at the end, that's why he could communicate telepathically with Nunnaly there.
...However, he formed a contract with Suzaku, which was fulfilled with his death; Lelouch wanted to destroy the age of kings, and build a world where people are free & peaceful. Lelouch created a single point of failure for his monarchy, and Suzaku toppled it by killing him. Contract fulfilled.
It is, in fact, Suzaku who is the only known code bearer at the end.

You know my theory about this is this: Lelouch can use the Code and the power of the Geass at the same time because he took the Code from Charles and not the CC, simply put, the CC made a contract with that nun but after that CC killed her she lost the Geass but won the Code and the same with Charles and VV after Charles killed V.V. he got the Code but lost the Power of his Geass what I am saying then is that if a Geass user kills the person with whom he made the contract he wins the Code the more he loses the Geass, only if a Geass user a person who has the Code he signed the contract he wins the Code and continues with Geass as was the case with Lelouch when he killed Charles.

In my opinion the name code geass is just the name but what if the codes C.C and V.V get are coming from the ones who gave them the geass. What if those codes are geass codes and you have to not only equip a geass but evolve it to the highest of level in order to get a code. And I think getting a code involves dying while having a full power geass, then being reincarnated, or it is passed on by code bearers like C.C. Lelouch will become immortal and yeah the mark he gets from his dad looks like a code but he still has the geass so maybe he either is the most powerful geass bearer allowing him to hold both code and geass. Maybe he is the only one that can equip both.

I was skeptical until the nunally and lelouchs memories... that pretty much seals the deal. Lelouch has the Code.
Wow this is a very well done video! There are SO many videos, but many of them include inaccurate stuff or miss other important things, I think you did a good job with this! Especially with addressing how the writer said Lelouch died, but that doesn't mean he's necessarily still dead.
There is one big thing you (and basically everyone) seem to have missed though, and it relates to one of the biggest plot threads of the show: CC's contract with Lelouch, in that he must grant her her wish.
CC's wish was to die, but then Lelouch convinced her she should at least die with a smile on her face, so she decided to not give her Code to Charles. I don't think it's ever stated but it should be obvious what the new contract is: to live a life happy with Lelouch. I'll elaborate.
CC never truly experienced life being treated as a proper human being. She grew up and was mistreated for being a poor slave (begger?). From the point she got Code, she was hated as a witch. Lelouch however, treated her with dignity and love. This is why CC changed her mind and didn't want to die.
Now, if CC wanted to live with Lelouch, why would she help with Zero Requiem? Recall her fight with Kallen at the end: Kallen questions why she would help Lelouch, and she said it's time to stop accumulating experiences and to start living. If you paid attention to the show, you'd know that "accumulating experiences" references her suffering over the years as an immortal witch detached from society and human bonding, and "start living" means to start living as a human being who can experience and give love, particularly with Lelouch her beloved.
There's also the scene where Lelouch, before parting with CC when they're inside the Damocles so he can go find Nunally, where he salutes her and promises her he will return and not fail. Why would he promise this if after seizing the control to the Damocles, and thus declaring himself as emperor of the world, he would not be able to see CC again? (It's possible he might somehow be able to meet with CC in secret, but that still wouldn't make much sense if it meant he'd just die soon later).
The only way this can all make sense is if Lelouch is alive. Otherwise, CC's contract and wish was never fulfilled, and fulfilling her contract was one of the biggest plot threads in the show.
There's also the fact that, for those who are uncomfortable with the thought of Lelouch living, Lelouch told Suzaku he can't take the easy way out and dying but must instead continue to live and suffer and offer his serves to help people. There are punishments WORSE than death. If Suzaku continuing to live with a new identity, and surrendering the pleasures of his old life, was a punishment more painful to him personally than death, then Lelouch still being alive can also be seen as a more severe punishment than death.
After all, the Code has to go SOMEWHERE. Would he give the Code to someone else, cursing them with immortality and experience a painful life like CC had? He's done enough sinful things already. By being alive and carrying the burden of the Code AND having to be ready at any time to offer his services again to help the world should it need him, I think it is a fitting and more severe punishment than simply dying and not being able to help people anymore.
If you wanted Lelouch to be dead just for his sins, and completely disregarding the contributions he could still make to help society should trouble arise again, that's just being vengeful for the sake of revenge, which is criticized in Code Geass.
As an extra thought, everyone seems to forget that the co-creator and director of Code Geass, Goro Taniguchi, said many years ago that it would be a dream project to do a movie for Code Geass. Why is the announcement of R3 such a surprise? They were just waiting for Akito to finish. I was always under the impression that the conspicuous lack of Emperor Lelouch using his Geass during the final arc of R2 was because he'd already become immortal (during a successful assassination attempt early in his reign), and that he was just stringing Suzaku along after that point for the sake of ensuring Nunnally's longterm safety.

I feel like the writers were hinting at this idea from the start of the show, "CODE GEASS: Lelouch of the Rebellion", as in Lelouch (of the Rebellion) IS Code Geass... both a Code and a Geass user, by the end of the show.... And to prove the point at 9:45 Lelouch's alias in Japanese is "Rurūshu Ranperūji", or R2.

the timing of this video is perfect. i just finished Code geass and was kinda confused, but this video cleared everything up. i woulda given it an 8/10. but cus of this video i can bump it up to 9/10
makes sence, C2's name becomes C2 after the code activates so he would have died, and be reborn no longer being classifed as Leleouch. the concept of the name actually having some form of connection to it's story also is common enough. it also explains how he is alive despite being stabbed. if he has his geass then it's within reason that afterbeing taken for burial he used geass to make them think they buried him, it doesn't need to get everyone as just the meer presence of a grave is more than enough, there are graves with no people there, espically in war time

That rumor that you mention where you see the cart driver smile is true, I was watching the anime when it was first release and got unofficially subbed and the scene was there. Unless someone edited the final episode within a week while subbing it I doubt that it is false. From what I understand they later removed it in future iterations to give the ending a more open interpretation.
