I was talking about this from the end of season 2. Btw Lelouch did not became an immortal just to see the peace he created. He did it for C.C. He kept all his promises at the end. He died for his sins, created world peace and gave C.C. the true wish she wanted (to be together and be truly loved by someone) She was crying not cause of Lelouch's "death", but knowing, that for her he will suffer the same fate as she did.
Another piece of evidence: While Lelouch "dies" next to Nunnally, she touches him and then screen shows the flashback of Lelouch's final plan with Suzaku. Then Nunnally says in the Japanese version, "It can't be. Brother you were all along" meaning that she saw the flashback. Who else shows you flashbacks when you touch her? C2! Code user. If C2 to does it, Code Users can too. So Lelouch is a Code User.
Nunnally must have some kind of supernatural ability too. Even though she doesn't have a geass, she can still somehow tell when people are lying to her when she touches them. That's why you see Suzaku withdraw his hand when she tries to touch him because he knows she can tell. And Nunnally made her assistant redo some kind of plan and saw through her lie about the Japanese not being disadvantaged by it.
razor fang and there's also jeremiah odd reaction when zero/suzaku rushes on lelouch. He smiles and doesn't seem affected at all ... like he knows he's gonna survive. It's possible since jeremiah is probably lelouch's closest ally along with cc (who's obviously aware of the plan) at this point.
I'd like to point out something you missed that also strongly supports this theory. Season 1 is called "Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion", so you would assume season 2 would be called "Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion 2" or something like that. But they choose to go with "R2". Clearly, that "R" doesn't come from "Rebellion", as "Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion Rebellion2" is nonsense. So why "R2"? In the anime, the 2 Code owners that we see are called CC and VV, read as C2 and V2 (we're not counting Charles as he had the Code for too little time), so we can assume CC and VV come from the initial letter of their names.. From what I know, what is written as L in english is read as R in Japanese. We can also hear Lelouch's name read with some kind of R, not L, so that would make R the initial letter of Lelouch's name. Taking these into account, it would make sense that season 2 is called "R2", as Lelouch gets the Code, becoming RR, or R2 as it is read.
I don't think he planned it. I think he didn't know he had the code and legimately planned to die for good. I have a feeling he woke up thinking "what the fuck?"
Mr. Internet Man just when I thought I am over with anime. There's this childhood favorite that was suddenly revive. And I can't wait for it. I can't understand why this make me curious, I just saw season three is coming and memories flood me back. Nostalgia? Lelouch is the reason why I love chess lol
lelouch is a much better written character. light was smart, sure. But he was also a two dimensional homicidal maniac with delusions of grandeur. Lelouch actually had emotions, he had relationships with people other than "pawn to be used". And unlike light actually managed to win (potential R3 developments notwithstanding).
That would be an awesome plan and it would definitely fit with the character of Lelouch. If that's the case then I will definitely be a Lelouch fan and that's a great anime.
I don't see a way to really compare the two since their powers are different and they are in a way different setting + geass is far more powerful than a death note
With his geass lelouch can command anyone to do anything, not requiring them to die and only requires contact with your target while the death note requires you to know their name and face
Warp Ten lelouch's geass needs you to look directly into that persons eyes, you can on the other hand get every information you need to kill most enemys in the internet using the death note.
I think Lelouch is definitely the smarter one between him and light, look at how well most of his plans go, and how well he can predict people. Even his death was part of his plan, unlike Light's
@@blueantic5719 Yeah, he was. Code bearers usually have to die at least once before their immortality is activated. CC inherited hers when the nun who was her guardian stabbed and killed her for the first time.
I'm a bit late, but there are two things that confirm this. One: When Lelouch dies and falls into Nunnaly's hands, Nunnaly get's a vision of Lelouch's memories, much like Lelouch got V2's memories when he touched her at a certain point and in no other point in the whole series, so a quick 1+1=2 thinking should tell you that Lelouche is now code, and thus immortal. Two: The original ending of the R2 showed Lelouch's face instead of the origami bird after V2 finished her talking, all tho that was later cut to make it more vague that is he alive or not, but it clearly was originally planned that Lelouch should have survived.
I think the only question with Nina is if she is pregnant now with a little Table inside her or give already birth to one i mean we dont know ho much time passed but what we saw in the trailer i would say 1-2 years max. I mean come one this girl has ridden this table like crazy.
Well if that would be the case i hope euphemia which will probaly the name of the child i mean we are talking about Nina so thats the only name that make sense can be redeemed at the end i mean come on this table would be absolute op it has amazing stealth skills just standing there like an ordinary table and Geass probaly wouldnt work.
Pedro Santos De Sao Jose it does and it doesn’t. I get what you are saying but if this theory is true he condemns himself to live forever and kills his old self, probably living as a new person with C2.
Will a mastermind like Lelouch will let his plan rely on luck and chances? The Zero Requiem in the surface is almost so idealistic and naively hopeful of the good of people, hoping they'll all work together happily after the demon Emperor died. This sounds so Suzaku not Lelouch at all. So it makes sense that Lelouch will have a backup plan. To be alive when someone's making trouble, hell Nunnally has the potential to be in danger for being the Emperor of the hated Brittania, and younger sister of the demon.
I'm guessing I'm not the first to make this theory, but I can't for the life of me find the FIRST source. So whoever that is: good job. (Note: I did come up with most of this on my own. I just know others have talked about it.)
DuoReview seems ligit xD i havent gound anything wrong with this thoey xD hope lelouch eplains it like this xD if its true xD but it seems like it would be xD at least the summary helped me remember the whole series xD fot s3
Yeah this theory’s been around for a while. Personally, I always thought Lelouch died and came back via immortality (you have to die to activate it once getting a code) and lived the rest of his life in the countryside with C2 as R2. I’m sorry, I just can’t believe Lelouch would pass up immortality or that C2 would be fine with this plan. I don’t believe she’d be happy at the e d like she was. Lelouch was totally the driver of the carriage. In this way, Lelouch still dies physically and figuratively. His identity as a Lelouch is dead, but he can still be immortal with C2 si neither one is too lonely. I also think immortality is worse than death. I think Lelouch deserves it, but i also think he deserves to have company. He wasn’t as bad as Light after all. My opinion. I also think Light deserves to be bored for eternity. Though I haven’t finished DN so I’ll hold off on that judgment. I’m happy about S3, but I’m also nervous like others. I liked the ambiguous ending. I loved that we could argue for years about this topic and how the show was able to live on through this as well. I also just like how the fan theory explains the show’s title of Code Geass.
Comparing leuloch and light is impossible cause one has a heart and the other one a god complex.... NOT SAYING tht leuloch is better than light but both have immeasurable willpower
How isn't lel better ? he pointed all the hate in the world on himself then made suzaku kill him in order to make a bettter world ..... light is just a serial killer with an iq of 300 and godlike power
@@aphrodi6311 lelouch knows what he is doing and what it's outcomes are every step of the plan but light started out like lelouch but his ego and God complex took over his ideals. I am not saying that light as a character is bad I really like death note but compared to lelouch they are two different ideals all together
I was struggling to accept the continuation of Code Geass from the ending, especially with Lelouch at the very least an idealistic person. So him cheating death always struck me as against his character, but with this, I can now make peace with my previous conception, and this new continuation. Thank you.
Well, if you believe the theory that he got his Code accidentally from his father without knowing it and became immortal like CC after he died, then Lelouch didn't actually intend to cheat death and his desire to die for world peace was sincere. Even in the movie timeline, CC revived Lelouch and brought him back without his knowledge or consent so he was also sincere in sacrificing himself in that timeline as well.
lets not forget the scene at the very end where we see CC on a stack of hay on a cart, talking to the driver (hidden by a hat), and at the end, just before the credits, says "right Lelouch?"
This theory isn't all that new. He just gains his Code from his father because he was the one responsible for his death, but this is simply speculation. Lelouch simply got the Code by accident if he did and restructured his plans around it, turning himself into a martyr for peace. Still think a third season is unneeded though
Obesno0 Thats what I thought too. His original plan was to execute the tyrant (his father) publically, and if he can't, his back up plan was to turn into a tyrant himself, and have himself executed. This didn't work out because he got code. Suzaku wants him to pay for his sins with his life, so he has Suzaku "kill" him, and he lives in exile forever where he fulfills his contract with C.C. Although I do think Suzaku and Jeremiah knew he would survive and thought exile would be the next best thing to death. I also dont think this was entirely planned, throughout the series, Lelouch's plans have giant hiccups and repercussions that force him to change or afapt them, like shirley and her dad dying, or "kill all Japanese" or in this case, not dying. I think he truly did plan to end it all by atoning for his sins with death, but was forced to settle for exile.
yuik kiuy That actuallydoesn't sound that bad for a spin-off, but it's probably gonna be something more like Lelouch is called back into action to thwart a new rebellion/Coup D'Etat against his sister. Lets not forget that prince Schnitzel still oneys literally anything wearing a Zero mask, as well as Lelouch himself, so I can imagine him changing sides every other episode.
Well now that Season 3 is around the Corner and with the new Movies coming out soon with new scenes that will help explain Season 3 i think you timing is actualy good. Hm when i think about it it would be interesting if the use the original ending that was later edited again.
I think the first season of death note is better then the 1st season of code geass, but the 2nd season of code geass was better then the 2nd season of deathnote
4:19 I think the point was that a part of Lelouch subconsciously wanted her to attack the Japanese, as he knew it would benefit the Black Knights if she did
well, we know he can't help but think of ALL options that are possible in a given scenario. Making her genocide the Japanese would be a considered option, so it does make sense
may i also add the following, during the series it seems c2 can see what lelouch sees. in the last ep of r2 c2 is lying on some hay and says the following: "the power of kings known as geass brings one solitude. not quite accurate, is it. right lelouch." the key lies in what she says. she says IS it instead of WAS it. this would imply hes still alive and with c2 if she can actually see lelouch's vision would be able to confirm he's alive and thus use IS instead of WAS. also another theory why we see lelouch with his geass active in the trailer of r3 might be that he simply used the code for its immortality and after his "death" scene he simply gave his code to someone else(like c2) so that he would be able to use his geass again
Lelouch and C.C are accomplices, they have a contract and Lelouch values C.C. If his plan of reaching zero requiem included dying, that would be a betrayal to his contract. He would never die before killing C.C, it would be unfair to her. His plan obviously considered the immortality he got in the end. Also, he faked a lot of thinks, Lelouch would never miss the oportunity of faking his own death, specially if it were for C.C.
This could also potentially mean that Suzaku could have a Geass now, since Lelouch did mention about giving Suzaku a geass. With Suzaku accepting it during Lelouch's death scene. But then again, we didn't see any major changes to signal a 'contract'.
Javier Gonzalez I understood Suzaku "accepting" the Geass referred to Lelouch using it as an analogy for his wish. Therefore, accepting Lelouch's wish.
I like light but lelouch was clutch that first slip up he made in the beginning and some unforeseen events he never made anymore or was ready to go with it. A guy with a mind and ability to lay out his plan perfectly and improvise. I still think lelouch is better for me like eccentric and more badass to me plus he's not a villian technical less than light
Kind of, except for a number of key differences, namely:- - motivations (Light's compulsive need for perfection and superiority complex which morphs into a god complex versus Lelouch's obsession with keeping Nunnally safe and getting revenge on Britannia for its evils), - capacity for love and empathy (Lelouch loves Nunnally, no question, and displays love or at least deep affection for C.C., Kallen, Suzaku and the Student Council etc. while Light loves... who, exactly? Just Light?), - character development (Lelouch zigzags back and forth but eventually settles on Magnificent Bastard Byronic Hero while Light jumps into Villain Protagonist and does a little dance) - and track record (Lelouch plans his own death, faces it upfront and dies with a smile in the arms of the person he loved the most - assuming he didn't know he had Charles' Code since it was an unprecedented situation, indirectly killing a Code bearer through the Collective Unconscious of all mankind - and above all else actually wins while Light dies whimpering, alone and abandoned, having never made a difference with his life; everything goes right back to normal right after he dies). ...just read this over and jeez, am I biased, but hey - s'all true.
You forgot, that even C.C had to die in order to code to awaken. Its kind of important. And also C.C had her mark on her forehead, as well as the Nun before her. We also know V.V didnt have mark on his forehead, and his hands are never shown. So that leaves only Charles which we know had his mark on his hand. And now the interesting part. Ever since that moment charles died, Lelouch's hands are never shown. Respectively he ALWAYS had gloves. So i think his mark would mor eprobably be on his hands. But that is also just a specilation. But yeah, you had pretty much same thoughts as me, too bad its not what creators used, and had gone with some alternate bullshit reality. That screams to me that they didnt even try.
My thought from the ending of the series where C2 is talking to him is that he exists in C's World and can communicate with C2 just like how his mother did and even somehow had the ability to pass his conscience into another person that person either being Suzaku (or Nunnally but I Prefer Suzaku) making him and Suzaku share a body. Lelouch stays in C's World and talks to C2 and Suzaku but takes control when brains is needed over brawn.
DuoReview Of course that was what I thought after my 2nd time watching it 4 years ago which was only 2 weeks after the first time I watched. Until today I didn't know they were going to release a 3 season. I enjoyed the Akito the Exiled spin off. I wonder if these stories will come together in some way in S3
There is another reason to believe this theory may be the case. When Lelouch died, he said Schneizel would continue to follow Zero. But he wouldn’t be able to do that if Lelouch was dead. The show revealed that if a geass user dies, those under its effects are released from them. Schneizel would have a will of his own if Lelouch died and would not be compelled to follow Zero.
The Grimm Reaper Lelouch's geass caused a permanent change to someone's brain. It was only ever reversed by a geass breaker that only Jeremiah possesses. Also, lelouch told Schneizel to obey zero precisely because Lelouch would be dead. Suzaku is now zero, anyone can be and Schneizel would obey anyone claiming to be Zero.
Okay so.. I concluded some of this myself (weird at the age of 9) and you literally just opened my eyes to a whole new world of possibilities so thanks. You've also pretty much just theorised and explained season 3 AND told me there would be a season 3!! Now the question is: when is it coming out? (I'll forget to look it up if it's out there)
This explanation was pretty good. But the Resurrection of Lelouch movie is not R3 but a sequel to the 3 recap movies, Kudou, Handou, Oudou that were released in 2016,2017, 2018. The rebooted story takes place in a parallel Universe where Jeremiah warns Shirley not to look too much into zero's true identity. So she doesn't get killed by doing anything dangerous unlike the original series. In the resurrection movie Shirley was the one who took his body to Jeremiah who left the place as soon as he was killed. But in the original series Shirley was killed. And remember what Lelouch said? "The only ones who should kill are the ones prepared to die themselves." Maybe he really did die in the original series and never came back. But this explanation could also be true because Lelouch didn't care about the path he took to reach his goal. Him being immortal doesn't really stand in the way of achieving world peace. Maybe the video's explanation could be true if we're talking about the alternate version of Code Geass
The anime itself makes it impossible for Lelouch to have a code because that would have broken the established rules. The show staff officially confirmed he's really dead and never had a code.
Lelouch actually was written as being still alive during the credit epilogue, in the original Japanese ending the lower half of his face with some of his signature bangs peeking out from below that wide brimmed hat shown on the cart driver, so its actually canon that he survived, the dubbed version didn’t have that scene
I don't think Lelouch didn't tell Susaku about his Code because at the point when Susaku became Lelouch's knight, I would presume that Lelouch trusts Susaku completely. Also, I'm pretty sure that Lelouch gave Susaku Geass because when Susaku kills Lelouch while wearing the Zero costume, he said to Lelouch "This Geass, I do solemnly accept." Another Theory I think that Lelouch did get his Code from C2 because when Charles was about to kill C2, with C2's consent (I think), Lelouch convinced C2 to not die and that Charles was bad and then later on C2 changed the contract so that C2 wants to live with Lelouch and gives Lelouch Code while still having it. Like if anyone agrees with my theories.
The case with Suzaku refers to when Lelouch said "that geass are like human feelings and desires" (not the exact words) so when Suzaku said "I accept this geass" he's referring to Lelouch's last will for him to become Zero and protect the peace that cost them so much to achieve.
To be honest, I already had this plan figured out, but eh, you certainly presented it in an entertaining way, so congrats, you get a new subscriber. Happy Holidays!
I'm paused at 1:26 seconds. I don't know where you're going with this, but all I want to say is watch the original japanese ending. I mean, the last scene in the English release hinted at it, but the Japanese ending flat out says it.
If you watch the movie you'll see the theory is completelyw rong. He has a mark, but it's not a code mark, he gets another, new power. He doesn't even get a code in the movie and thinks he can drop dead any moment.
That's because of regions. When it comes to the NA release, they don't just dub it. They can edit it. So, even if you watch it with the Japanese audio, the actual video footage is still edited. Take a show like Card Captors. The NA release was edited to remove most romance from it, and scenes were rearranged to make Syaoran seem like a main character. If you're watching Card Captors in NA, you are physically seeing edited footage. The version of Code Geass released in Japan is the original. It fully supports what I'm going to assume your theory is. (I'm still paused at 1:26)
Goku_Jerome one thing to keep in mind, Code Geass is one of those rare situations that the anime existed before anything else. The manga is an adaptation of the anime, and unless the Creators state otherwise, the anime supersedes the manga as canon.
This is pretty much the theory I've held since the show originally aired. I was kind of hoping for a third season one day, since they hinted the story wasn't over in post-interviews, but I'm really happy someone else came to the same conclusions. This is still one of my #2 favorite story after Berserk.
What are the odds that people are still watching the same anime as me and came to youtube when they finished it in quarantine (I just finished code geass)
Thanks to the movie we now know all of this was completely wrong. Lelouch never got a code or immortality. No surprise because the anime creators have officially confirmed that many many times. read all what they said here: www.reddit.com/user/GeassedbyLelouch/comments/8hklfr/evaluating_code_theory_main_body_index/ Lelouch was truly dead. He only came back because C.C. resurrected his dead body.
Planed it all because he knew C.C's real wish was to be truly loved something she was never able to achieve it's why C.C didn't give her code to Charles becuase he thought she wanted to die but before she was about to Lelouch spoke to her and made that change if you remeber.
There's a big flaw in your theory. Having a Geass manifest in both eyes isn't the same as a Geass becoming perfect. Lelouch and Mao's Geass are "Runaway Geass" meaning they lost the ability to control them. C2 even makes a point of saying that Lelouch's Geass will just get more uncontrollable, to the point where his contact lenses wouldn't stop it. Charles has the Geass in both eyes, but we can see he can turn it off and on at will.
It's never stated that in order to take a code, it has to be a perfect Geass. To be fair, the only person we ever saw have something like that was Charles. It was only ever stated that once a Geass users Geass becomes powerful enough, they can kill a code user. It was never elaborated on the exact specifications, but one thing we can be sure of is that it requires both eyes. In that moment, you can argue that Lelouch was powerful enough to sway the collective conscious of the world... he swayed God to his will. His Geass through his will and power rejected the Thought Elevator and the will of two powerful beings, one of which was a code bearer in Charles. There's no guarantee that he intended to take his father's code, but if only for that brief moment of sheer power through will and resolve, he overpowered him and killed him. Seems like more than enough for a code to be transferred. Oh, also. It was implied that C2 couldn't control her's either when the Nun forcibly transfered her Code to C2. She blamed her Geass for all of the gifts and excess love she had to endure, saying she's tired of it all, and complaining about people calling her master and revolving a religion around her. Her eyes both remain active in that scene as if she couldn't deactivate them until she gains the Code.
What about Charles being a Code who can still somehow use his Geass on Lelouch for S2 to happen? Does that mean Charles got his Geass from someone else other than V.V. too?
When Lelouch lost control of his Geass at the end of the first season, I expected the reasons behind that, and overcoming this weakness, to be a major plot point in season 2. Unfortunately, all they did was say "here's a contact lens". The thing is, there must be a way to either avoid a runaway Geass, or to regain control of it afterwards, as Charles had a perfect Geass that he could still control, but covered both eyes regardless and was thus strong enough to kill V.V. As a personal little theory, I believe the reason V.V. called Rolo a failed experiment was because the nature of Rolo's Geass would prevent it from increasing in strength or going runaway - if the latter ever happened, it would simply kill Rolo.
Well coming back after 2 years of this video release, no there is no sequel to R2, the recaps are more a alternative universe for a feel lke a quick cashgrab lol
I so agree with you and I'm happy to finally read a comment in this sense. :) A real mastermind opponent to Lelouch is what has been missing in CG. Some opponents were cool and stuff but no one measured up to him in the end. Lelouch had it "easy" even. Someone with a genius mind and drastic opposing views on life trying to stop him. Just imagine the juicy mastermind duel we would have had! Such a waste of potential and a missed opportunity sadly... ;(
You are right in everything you said and with the new release of the new movie earlier today I figured I must congratulate you ma dude your theory is 100% accurate
Not true, it's on his chest and not on his neck. On the collar bones to be precise. And the movie made it abundantly clear that this mark is a new power and NOT a code. Movie-C.C. even explicitly denies that it's a code! And let's not forget that the 4 movies are a non-canon alternate universe (e.g. Shirley is still alive, etc), while this video is about the anime. In the anime Lelouch is dead forever, that has been officially confirmed
You know how Lelouch's maid was able to disguise herself as him? I thought that C2 used this same disguise technique and she was the one stabbed in that scene. We know she can to an extent control how long she remains dead before reviving, and that code users can share memories through touch, like when Nunally touched what she thought was Lelouch. (Though that could potentially apply to your theory as well) Also, Lelouch didn't kill Charles; he was essentially deleted from existence by the collective unconscious of humanity after Lelouch pleaded with it. I don't think that making Lelouch immortal would be good for the plot of R3, which is the main reason why I'm rather suspicious of this theory
Theodore Winston Perhaps something far greater than the collective conciousness has made the code, so the collective conciousness couldn't erase it. Going by that, the code had to be transfered to somebody, that somebody being Lelouch
And to clarify, the movie pamphlet which was handed out in Japanese theaters explained that the name L.L. was Lelouch making a marriage proposal, it was NOT a code name. Even in the movie, Lelouch never got a code. The movie is very clear about that. The mark on his chest has completely different properties than codes, so it is not a code. It doesn't make you immortal. It doesn't make you immune to geass
@@lelouchlamperouge3566 CC's power "to be loved" would probably high but it lacks the versatility that Charles is capable of and it seems likely that most people would fall to the same boredom that CC did when it comes to people treating you the same without any meaning behind it once the novelty wore off
This was a well done video. True, I've heard this theory before but the clothes hiding the code mark was new for me. Good catch! Also, if you rewatch the video, when his eyes activate the disintegration starts, Charles grabs him and light flashes around Lelouch's neck area (pretty specifically), Lelouch says "Begone" and they IMMEDIATELY burn. It drastically speeds their disintegration from gradual to immediate, right after playing the "activate" sound of his Geass command and pans to his eyes. This shows that Lelouch KILLED his father. If a man is terminal and dying of a disease, but you come by and shoot him...you still are the person who killed him. Even assuming that the initial disintegration wasn't Lelouch's audible command, the second was most definitely.
+King Bumi, How Light could find and kill Lelouch:Zero makes childish moves and is only going after certain people that are all part of the same family and Light notices this and thinks Zero is a student, the only flaw is that Zero is gone during school hours. Still Light decides to investigate by tracking down the first moment Zero made his appearance. When looking he finds that the Japanese started winning their battles after an unknown person joined their team. Light thinks this unknown person and Zero are one in the same and decides to investigate near by schools and the people missing from those schools on the days were Zero went to battle. They find over 30 different schools and over 100 students missing from school during the LAST battle, but only 2 students from a certaint school were missing on EVERY day there was a battle, Lelouch and Suzaku. Light tracks their locations down and investigates both of them and finds out Suzaku is on the opposite side of Zero, so it can't be Suzaku which leaves Lelouch as the only suspect. Light investigates Lelouch even more and well following him he sees Lelouch turn into Zero. After finding out the identity of Zero being Lelouch he writes his name in the death note, but it doesn't work because Lelouch's last name is an alias. Light figures this out and shows Misa who has the Shinigami eyes a picture of Lelouch. Misa sees Lelouch's real name and tells Light. Light writes down Lelouch's real name and Light wins
+King Bumi sorry I thought you were actually asking who is smarter between the two characters, so I gave this scenario to show what I think would happen if they faced each other in a battle of wits.
+Ryukishi07 ‘The Creator’ well if they were to fight each other it would be a battle of intelligence, so if they were to fight to the death based around intelligence then Light would win, so I gave this scenario.
Joshua pingol He told Suzaku beforehand that in his opinion Geass is equal to a wish, which he probably concluded after seeing C2s memories, so Suzaku says ,,I solemnly accept this wish".
watching the last episode might potentially prove 2 things -suzaku gained a geass power through lelouch's code -nunnally knew everything through a memory surge when she got in contact after lelouch fell down the the royal slide of death, much like how c2 made suzaku remember a lot of things in their first encounter in combat, proving lelouch got the code
The very last scene of season 2 left it wide open to interrupt that he lived anyway. Since it shows a face that looks quite similar to his and c.c. is talking to this person. I've heard that ending was cut out at some point but it still existed for those who saw it.
Couldn't agree more with this assessment. If you all watched to the very end of the very last episode, you see that Leouch and C2 are relaxing in a horse and carriage as the show closes out. But getting the code from his father is where all this makes sense. Absolutely love this show!
Jonathan Blue And yet another victim of that fake youtube video. Lelouch was not the cart driver, that was a fan made video to fool people. The show staff have officially confirmed that Lelouch was truly dead. No code or immortality. The anime males it even impossible for Lelouch to have a code because the established rules forbid that. The fandom proved years ago that this whole "code theory" is a fraud built on lies and misrepresenting the anime
@@IsilionNELE didn't say he was the cart driver. And if the cart scene was fan made I guess I'll send my official copy back to the creators and demand a refund...thanks for setting me straight. 🙄
Jonathan Blue You don't have a dvd which revealed Lelouch in the cart scene because that doesn't exist. Don't even try to pretend. The show staff have always been adamant on Lelouch being totally dead. That's a well documented FACT. The anime itself makes it impossible for Lelouch to have a code, so the sword through his chest is death. That's a FACT. If you sincerely believe your dvd shows Lelouch, I suggest watching it again. You'll see he's not there. If you pretend he is there, then take your phone and film yourself going through the dvd menu to go to the epilogue and show us that that scene exist. Spoilers: it doesn't
i didn't think this was NEW news cause i thought everyone figured it out when they watched it... it's really not that hard to figure out, i'm surprised that anime theory covered it. still a fun video to watch, lol
they never show the individuals face that's driving the cart carrying C2 at the end, but it's almost implied by that smirk that it's Lelouch. Aside from that, I've discussed this theory in detail with friends as well and i'm excited to see if Lelouch becomes the villain in this new season.
Ah finally someone that figured it out as well :D I'm excited for the new season because then it will finally become common knowledge in the Code Geass Community
Watching code geass now,the last anime I watched was death note and I haven't watched any anime for a long time after that, now I'm at episode 6 and it feels weird how there are so many characters as opposed to death note where light, L, mello and near were the main characters that things circle around, but in a way everything circle's around lelouch in code geass
If there's anything I learned from Code Geass is that the most successful plans are the ones that are not mentioned
Garb Players Entertainment i learned how to lie from this anime
@@auldeyramirez1814 amv your gonna go far kid - code geass

Agree in a heart beat. :)
It is quite amusing how in parallel to his own plans, he tried to make even C.C's wish a reality and he succeeded in doing so.
'Death' of lelouch with context of that promise to c2... Man this really is going to be a tearjerker when i re-watch the last episode of s2.
Well guess who's back from the dead
He died for world peace and he resurrected in order to preserve it.
Wow
Another piece of evidence:
While Lelouch "dies" next to Nunnally, she touches him and then screen shows the flashback of Lelouch's final plan with Suzaku. Then Nunnally says in the Japanese version, "It can't be. Brother you were all along" meaning that she saw the flashback.
Who else shows you flashbacks when you touch her? C2! Code user. If C2 to does it, Code Users can too. So Lelouch is a Code User.
That's actually...genious
Shohini Ghosh Maybe because the geass of Lelouch had been used on her.
Nunnally cried because she understands his true intentions and not because he died
@@EM-st9ji have u watched it she literally said "all I needed to be happy was you " or " I love you brother . Open your eyes" ????
Nunnally must have some kind of supernatural ability too. Even though she doesn't have a geass, she can still somehow tell when people are lying to her when she touches them. That's why you see Suzaku withdraw his hand when she tries to touch him because he knows she can tell. And Nunnally made her assistant redo some kind of plan and saw through her lie about the Japanese not being disadvantaged by it.
One thing to add to this is that Nunnally was able to see visions of what Lelouch was up to after she touched him just like how C.C. was able to do.
Just another piece of evidence! =D
razor fang and there's also jeremiah odd reaction when zero/suzaku rushes on lelouch. He smiles and doesn't seem affected at all ... like he knows he's gonna survive. It's possible since jeremiah is probably lelouch's closest ally along with cc (who's obviously aware of the plan) at this point.
Good point, that does favor the ''he has code'' theory since I can't see Jeremiah being ok with him dying
slsamgclk yep !
razor fang yeah and maybe she tells everyone and then the plan fails and they bust/arrest him in a foking el chapo jail on secondary floor xd

This theory... ;)
DuoReview YUP
[Yoshikage_Kira] aka Handy Man, Duwang Man, *chew* study?
Did you graduated?
Let me guess, you working in mcdonalds now.
Rerouch Ramperouge?
Rerouch VI Brittania
cool name....
the R stands for "round" as in round one (R1) or round two (R2), like a chess game.
Ik this is kinda dead, but it is read as Rurushu
Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebirth and Rebellion
How about resurrection since they all shock because they thought that he was dead
Lelouch is a thousand times better than light
Nah, both are the best anime characters of all time!
Aftab Mohammed nah, light is secondar HA
lelouch is a revolutionary after all..light is awesome but at the end he is just another kid who lost his way
Yep.
agreed because light f up in the end
I don't think he planned it. I think he didn't know he had the code and legimately planned to die for good. I have a feeling he woke up thinking "what the fuck?"
That's also possible I guess. It is just a theory after all. XD
Mr. Internet Man you can see leloch the last 30 seconds of the show

Mr. Internet Man just when I thought I am over with anime. There's this childhood favorite that was suddenly revive. And I can't wait for it. well either way we will find out 1 way or the other.
however if lelouch have the mark on his neck then this video is pretty spot on.
Lelouch is better than Light. Pass it on.
Lelouch > Light
Zero > Kira
Why? Well, all you need to do is ask yourself who won.
I disagree, but that's just me. XD
DuoReview so many XD's
lelouch is a much better written character. light was smart, sure. But he was also a two dimensional homicidal maniac with delusions of grandeur. Lelouch actually had emotions, he had relationships with people other than "pawn to be used". And unlike light actually managed to win (potential R3 developments notwithstanding).
eleganos just because you don't like Light doesn't mean he wasn't a well written character
That would be an awesome plan and it would definitely fit with the character of Lelouch. If that's the case then I will definitely be a Lelouch fan and that's a great anime.
I also hope this is how R3 goes down. =D
Tom McDaniel Fix your Grammar.
And people think light was the smarter one.
I'd argue he still could be depending on how you look at it.
I don't see a way to really compare the two since their powers are different and they are in a way different setting + geass is far more powerful than a death note
Warp Ten no way, death note has way less limitations.
Light isn’t even that smart, lelouch took over the world with a worse ability for world domination
I'm not so sure that Lelouch knew that he inherited the Code, but I do believe it happened.
But he was killed
@@blueantic5719 Yeah, he was. Code bearers usually have to die at least once before their immortality is activated. CC inherited hers when the nun who was her guardian stabbed and killed her for the first time.
bro we talk about lelouch so that might be true
I don't care what anyone says, lelouch was still alive anyway.
Well this just helps prove it. ;)
I mean season 3 tho
When is season 3 coming out?
Aleksa Teemo 2019
Kill me.
I'm a bit late, but there are two things that confirm this.
One: When Lelouch dies and falls into Nunnaly's hands, Nunnaly get's a vision of Lelouch's memories, much like Lelouch got
V2's memories when he touched her at a certain point and in no other point in the whole series, so a quick 1+1=2 thinking
should tell you that Lelouche is now code, and thus immortal.
Two: The original ending of the R2 showed Lelouch's face instead of the origami bird after V2 finished her talking, all tho that
was later cut to make it more vague that is he alive or not, but it clearly was originally planned that Lelouch should have
survived.
Please make a theory on Nina, her character was really fucked up.
R.I.P Table Kun.
I may or may not. I can't really think of a theory right now. XD
Pls anything but nina her homo vibes are too creepy.
I think the only question with Nina is if she is pregnant now with a little Table inside her or give already birth to one i mean we dont know ho much time passed but what we saw in the trailer i would say 1-2 years max.
I mean come one this girl has ridden this table like crazy.
susaku zero, i guess there will be a timeskip and Nina's table child will grow up and become the main villain for R3.
Yeah I heard this theory long time ago like 1 month after it ended. Well i heard like 3 different ways.
Still good to hear in video format though.
It's certainly not new, but it doesn't need to be. =D
The Unknown Otaku I thought lelouch was immortal 3 years ago but none of my friends believed me
Well now you can laugh in their faces as Season 3 is in the waves.
Info monger too bad I don't talk to them anymore
The fact that Lelouch survives completly shaters one of is most important ideals "The only ones who should kill are the ones prepared to be killed".
Pedro Santos De Sao Jose it does and it doesn’t. I get what you are saying but if this theory is true he condemns himself to live forever and kills his old self, probably living as a new person with C2.
But he was killed he just came back 🤔
@@Sam-oe4dt movie isn't canon according to creator. Its an "alternate timeline"
@@SnowSNS11 agreed
I'm guessing I'm not the first to make this theory, but I can't for the life of me find the FIRST source. So whoever that is: good job.

Can you maybe do potential season 3 theories video of Code Geass?
I'm pretty sure this was on Anime Uproar before but I don't know if that was the first time
yashwanth gowda the reason he probably chose immortality was to join C2,to never let her be alone. I think he loves her
This was dope, no matter how old the anime a good theory can reinvigorate an entire series with a new light.
That's part of the reason why I like to cover older anime. =D
Yep. I know the theory isn't new, but it's pretty cool so I wanted to talk about it. =D
DuoReview no, that’s ok. I’m glad you did. I love this theory.
when you said bored for eternity a theory pop up from my mind that light is shinigami now
Comparing leuloch and light is impossible cause one has a heart and the other one a god complex....
@@aphrodi6311 Lelouch is self-aware of his actions, and understands the consequences of them. Light does not, and has been consumed by his actions.
I was struggling to accept the continuation of Code Geass from the ending, especially with Lelouch at the very least an idealistic person. So him cheating death always struck me as against his character, but with this, I can now make peace with my previous conception, and this new continuation.
Thank you.
That is why the series is called CODE GEASS, because in the end Lelouch obtains both a CODE and GEASS.
Doki Doki~ Why a knife collection is so cool!
I mean... You saw nothing
I really REALLY want to cover Doki Doki Literature Club if that's what you're referencing.
DuoReview Yeah Duo you should definitely cover Doki Doki would be an awesome theory video
Okay then, I'll do it. =D
Just monika
lets not forget the scene at the very end where we see CC on a stack of hay on a cart, talking to the driver (hidden by a hat), and at the end, just before the credits, says "right Lelouch?"
This theory isn't all that new. He just gains his Code from his father because he was the one responsible for his death, but this is simply speculation. Lelouch simply got the Code by accident if he did and restructured his plans around it, turning himself into a martyr for peace. Still think a third season is unneeded though
Not new doesn't mean not worth covering. The Fate of Light theory was certainly not new, but people seemed to like it. XD
Hm when i think about it it would be interesting if the use the original ending that was later edited again.
code geass is way better than death note. :3 fight me.
People are allowed to have opinions without fighting. XD
DuoReview yeah i know i was just kidding XD
death note all < code geass
death note until ep26 >code geass
But I still like code geass more than DN coz the ending
Amin Rosli i still think code geass is better but hey mabye it's just me
I think the first season of death note is better then the 1st season of code geass, but the 2nd season of code geass was better then the 2nd season of deathnote
4:19 I think the point was that a part of Lelouch subconsciously wanted her to attack the Japanese, as he knew it would benefit the Black Knights if she did
that's what I think too
well, we know he can't help but think of ALL options that are possible in a given scenario.
That would be crazy if Suzaku ended up with a geass.
Ya it would. Makes me wonder how his geass would work. But great video.
Thanks! =D
Javier Gonzalez I understood Suzaku "accepting" the Geass referred to Lelouch using it as an analogy for his wish. Therefore, accepting Lelouch's wish.
You're right. He's not just a genius, he's a high school anime protagonist.
But how can that be since Lelouch hardly even spends time in school? Lol..
So he is pretty much like light huh COOL AND BADASS
Yeah, they actually are pretty similar. XD
DuoReview True that but In A cool way
I like light but lelouch was clutch that first slip up he made in the beginning and some unforeseen events he never made anymore or was ready to go with it. A guy with a mind and ability to lay out his plan perfectly and improvise. I still think lelouch is better for me like eccentric and more badass to me plus he's not a villian technical less than light
Kind of, except for a number of key differences, namely:-
- motivations (Light's compulsive need for perfection and superiority complex which morphs into a god complex versus Lelouch's obsession with keeping Nunnally safe and getting revenge on Britannia for its evils),
- capacity for love and empathy (Lelouch loves Nunnally, no question, and displays love or at least deep affection for C.C., Kallen, Suzaku and the Student Council etc. while Light loves... who, exactly? Just Light?),
- character development (Lelouch zigzags back and forth but eventually settles on Magnificent Bastard Byronic Hero while Light jumps into Villain Protagonist and does a little dance)
- and track record (Lelouch plans his own death, faces it upfront and dies with a smile in the arms of the person he loved the most - assuming he didn't know he had Charles' Code since it was an unprecedented situation, indirectly killing a Code bearer through the Collective Unconscious of all mankind - and above all else actually wins while Light dies whimpering, alone and abandoned, having never made a difference with his life; everything goes right back to normal right after he dies).
...just read this over and jeez, am I biased, but hey - s'all true.
Probably these two are almost the same... main difference is lelouch acceded with his plans... light failed.
It's like if Light won, only with more genuine peace.
Pretty much. XD
I had assumed this is what happened but I didn't quite understand how, your theory is awesome man ,thx for the vid

My favorite anime next to Deathnote and Fullmetal Alchemist
Those anime are also absolutely brilliant. =D
Fmab sure was great!!!!
Partially confirmed when we see the mark on his hands in Lelouch of the Resurrection
I guess that's possible, but we'll see.
Plot twist: the creators did made us wait until 2020's so that they can gain information from youtube to put on their next season
Omfg,... i love you so much for even making this video!! GREAT VIDEO!!!
Glad you enjoyed it! =D
The show never mentioned that people under the effects of geass get released from its power after the user dies. pretty sure...
"The show revealed that if a geass user dies, those under its effects are released from them." When did the show ever show this?
Okay so.. I concluded some of this myself (weird at the age of 9) and you literally just opened my eyes to a whole new world of possibilities so thanks. You've also pretty much just theorised and explained season 3 AND told me there would be a season 3!! Now the question is: when is it coming out? (I'll forget to look it up if it's out there)
Oh yeah and HOW ARE YOU?
*Yes I'm making this a thing now*
1. I have no clue. We've only gotten a teaser.
2. I'm great now that school has ended. Have so much more time to work on videos. =D
why didn't you use the scene of c2 on the cart where she talks to Lelouch
I did at the direct end. It seemed pointless though since it's confirmed he's alive.
true and ok sorry i missed it
Your a genius dude! Thank you so much for the nice theories, keep up the good work
This explanation was pretty good.
8:28
Thats why its called code geass
Really great theory! I'm actually now in major belief that THIS will be, at least in some way, will be the reason Lelouch is in R3.
I don't think Lelouch didn't tell Susaku about his Code because at the point when Susaku became Lelouch's knight, I would presume that Lelouch trusts Susaku completely. Also, I'm pretty sure that Lelouch gave Susaku Geass because when Susaku kills Lelouch while wearing the Zero costume, he said to Lelouch "This Geass, I do solemnly accept."
Another Theory
I think that Lelouch did get his Code from C2 because when Charles was about to kill C2, with C2's consent (I think), Lelouch convinced C2 to not die and that Charles was bad and then later on C2 changed the contract so that C2 wants to live with Lelouch and gives Lelouch Code while still having it.
Happy holidays to you as well, and thank you! =D
I'm paused at 1:26 seconds. I don't know where you're going with this, but all I want to say is watch the original japanese ending. I mean, the last scene in the English release hinted at it, but the Japanese ending flat out says it.
Please watch the video.
DuoReview I did. I was just pauseing to make the comment. But I did finish it, at it lead me to watch two of your Death Note videos. ^^
They disproved this theory but I still like it.
Jenny Pack it’s not a theory lmao the original ending shows lelouch alive
2019 here, and you spot on with this theory... I know you weren't the original creator, but damn you even got the neck thing correct
If you watch the movie you'll see the theory is completelyw rong. He has a mark, but it's not a code mark, he gets another, new power. He doesn't even get a code in the movie and thinks he can drop dead any moment.
Have you watched the Japanese ending!! >_<
It would support ur argument
Yes I have, but I'm not 100% sure if it was real. The ending I saw while watching was different. XD
(I'm still paused at 1:26)
Tv ending to be exact
Goku_Jerome one thing to keep in mind, Code Geass is one of those rare situations that the anime existed before anything else. The manga is an adaptation of the anime, and unless the Creators state otherwise, the anime supersedes the manga as canon.
Tyler Willis I meant DVD rerelease because I heard that it was changed from the tv broadcast
Ofcourse mate I just finished rewatching it for the third time how I'm just sad
nice your thoughts and latest trailer were matched
Thanks to the movie we now know all of this was completely wrong.
Lelouch never got a code or immortality.
No surprise because the anime creators have officially confirmed that many many times. read all what they said here: www.reddit.com/user/GeassedbyLelouch/comments/8hklfr/evaluating_code_theory_main_body_index/
Lelouch was truly dead. He only came back because C.C. resurrected his dead body.
Did you even watch the movie……
Xannytoes Lelouch can also still control it by simply not commanding anyone to do anything.
Jeroen Bollen But it's always present in his eyes. Charles can turn it off and on.
Xannytoes destroyed.
What about Charles being a Code who can still somehow use his Geass on Lelouch for S2 to happen? Does that mean Charles got his Geass from someone else other than V.V. too?
The series name is Code Geass. It already tell us since the beginning that Lelouch will get the two powers at once !
IT WAS ALL PLANNED !!
Telling Euphie to kill the Japanese wasn't a "joke", it was Hyperbole.
I can’t remember anything about that Anime. But I remember watching it every time a new Episode would come out.
Hey dude the trailer just dropped out and your theory is confirmed. Lelouch does indeed have his code sign in his neck.
Well coming back after 2 years of this video release, no there is no sequel to R2, the recaps are more a alternative universe for a feel lke a quick cashgrab lol
Lol. You guessed the neck code thing. Good job!
but lelouch doesnt have an opponent like L or near
I so agree with you and I'm happy to finally read a comment in this sense. :)
A real mastermind opponent to Lelouch is what has been missing in CG.
For reals holy crap😱
At the end of the Lelouch of the Resurrection, you see the mark on his neck like this video mentioned.
The title says it too which is has to be planned from the beginning: What Lelouch has is the "Code Geass," bearing both powers.
Knowing Lelouch, he could've really planned it all out with CC. 😍❤ Being immortal and all.. Great video!
No Lelouch want to die
But C2 still want him to finish the contract
Spoilers: I already watched the new movie
By the way his name now is L2 or LL
And to clarify, the movie pamphlet which was handed out in Japanese theaters explained that the name L.L. was Lelouch making a marriage proposal, it was NOT a code name.
Even in the movie, Lelouch never got a code. The movie is very clear about that. The mark on his chest has completely different properties than codes, so it is not a code. It doesn't make you immortal. It doesn't make you immune to geass
the movie are different from the anime
Oh hail Lelouch the world's smartest f*ckin person in anime;)
I'd say that the most OP power is Charles' Geass; that's just BS
ikr no limit. if not for the fact you can possibly hopefully fight it off
I say cc Geass power is better
Leloucuh vs. Light. Who's smarter?
I'm going to say Light. That's just me.
Gate 11, i think he meant who is smarter between the 2 not that who will win in a fight between the 2.
+Ryukishi07 ‘The Creator’ well if they were to fight each other it would be a battle of intelligence, so if they were to fight to the death based around intelligence then Light would win, so I gave this scenario.
i think he became like c2 and he gives suzaku a geass in the last episode suzaku said "this geass i do solemnly accept"
Joshua pingol he didn't give Suzaku any geass..
Joshua pingol He told Suzaku beforehand that in his opinion Geass is equal to a wish, which he probably concluded after seeing C2s memories, so Suzaku says ,,I solemnly accept this wish".
So when's season 3 coming?
I'm not 100% sure. We just have a trailer for it.
DuoReview so it is coming? Holy shit u actually replyed I like u m8
Well thank you! =D
I think it comes out sometime next year (2018)
Luke B I was thinking that too lol it's gonna be fun when it comes out
watching the last episode might potentially prove 2 things
-suzaku gained a geass power through lelouch's code
-nunnally knew everything through a memory surge when she got in contact after lelouch fell down the the royal slide of death, much like how c2 made suzaku remember a lot of things in their first encounter in combat, proving lelouch got the code
There is only a simple reason why Lelouch didnt kill C. C. That reason id because she is the best girl
Yeeees
CC xlelouch is my favourite ship
Whenever I think of cc I think of my friend Glenn. He always said she looked like she was in her underpants which was so weird lol
This is not surprising at all. I mean who really didn't see this back when code geass first ended.
C2 being an ice tea company in the Philippines made the anime way better
The very last scene of season 2 left it wide open to interrupt that he lived anyway. Since it shows a face that looks quite similar to his and c.c. is talking to this person. I've heard that ending was cut out at some point but it still existed for those who saw it.
That's what I've heard as well. =D
That is a HERESY! But I guess I'm talking here about a whole concept of bringing Lelouch back. And the theory itself seems quite possible.
My god..... you might have cracked the biggest mystery in all of anime.
So you figured it out, man you are good.
first time watching you...this was a really good video my man..keep it up
Well thank you! =D
You get my like for the bit about him hiding his code mark, but other than that I thought of all of the theory myself
Well thank you! =D
Your not the only one that was late. I just saw season 1 & 2 for the 1st time this month. I ordered Akito the exiled so I'll see that soon.
You gave me the boost I needed to watch R3 because at first at had doubts but after watching this vid I want to watch it
