The black man, Miguel, is noted by the author Gege to be the MVP of the Christmas incident for holding out against a Six Eyes unsealed Gojo for over 10 minutes. In the footnotes of the manga, it is said that his life became significantly harder after the incident (implying that he was recruited to be a jujutsu sorceror by Gojo). Miguel and Okkotsu are in African looking for more rope to replace the black rope destroyed against Gojo, which is an extremely powerful instrument (above in power than one of Sukuna's fingers). Unfortunately they were not able to find any.
Yuta and Miguel didn't go to Africa to replace the black rope, they went to destroy on gojo's orders, since the black rope and the inverted spear of heaven were 2 cursed objects strong enough to oppose gojo

Yuta created Rika thru his cursed energy. I think she obviously grew more powerful just over time, but Yuta is a special grade like Gojo. That speed and strength he showcased at the end is his own. Hes just nutty

Nanami has the curse technique that allow him to see and create critical hit on his opponent. He also did a binding vow which increased his curse energy significantly if he is still working after 6 (overtime)
