Circa ‘91-‘92 I was obsessed with supercross. I was 10-11 years old. Dave made it fun and his voice and observational wit are among the greats in all sports commentary.
The dude is an absolute legend! It was Surreal meeting him, going riding with him… And then encouraging him to sit down for an interview And he delivered the goods! Thank you very much for watching, and your comments

Have followed his career in motor sports mainly because I enjoy most all motor sports, especially sprint and midget cars. Televised sports was way better back in the Wide World Of Sports era. They broadcast everything from motor racing,Olympic skating,high diving,to billiards and tennis.
Dave, Roebling Rd., alright! Yup, turn nine is a fast one 90-100 mph and on to the front straight. I topped out my '99 gixxer there, I was looking for another gear before the turn one braking marker, yee-haa! Also, I started racing at 43 and took home a first place trophy that year, yeah-baby.
Sure do miss seeing Dave call a race or WindTunnel...such a humble man. Cheers

Dave has had a great career. Interviewed everybody in racing from the 70’s through the 90’s.
Dave Despain is an American ICON They just don't make them like him anymore he has been on top of his game for decades!!!!
