Ferrari in a nutshell Kimi pull over Vettel is faster than you. Ferrari in their whole Massa pull over Alonso faster than you. Ferrari no one challenges Michael he is the #1 driver.
F1 Drivers have the ability to think fast while remaining calm and fluid. Its truly amazing how they are able to drive so smoothly as such high speeds.
as a much lower ranked racer this is actually interesting edit: for context, i'm 16 and have been racing cars for two years now (fiesta juniors in 2017 and whatever i could find that i could afford this year) and seeing similarities in some aspects (mainly mentally and looking ahead etc; i hope you go into more detail on that) but differences in others like physical ones. racing my car i only usually get up to about 1.2g in corners and braking zones but it's good fun and a great starting point. i know i'm not slow (currently got two fastest lap records at two kart circuits) but there's obviously room to improve. oh and if anyone wants to ask questions about karting and lower down racing formulae i'll happily answer all :) race well all Edit 2: oh hi, I’m now 18 and bored lmao
Thomas The Racer how do you progress from doing karting to professional racing as I’m 13 and race in rye house champions and in the future would really want to race professionally even in lower ranks like you. Thanks
oh man i loved rye... ok this depends entirely on your money situation. sponsors / very rich dads are essential for moving into the world of cars. first book and pass your ARDS test (it's just a harder ARKS, they'll explain it on the day) and then apply for your MSA license. at 14 you can join any junior championship: fiesta juniors (my recommendation), saxos, ginetta juniors (DON'T) or clio juniors. for the fiesta (good value for money) you will spend about £10,000 on the car. i recommend buying a car already built as it is simply so much easier than building one. it took me a year to build my racer and i had 5 mechanics with me. from there, aim to minimise on most costs other than track time and maybe tyres. £10,000 a year is roughly the annual cost of racing and aaron thompson won the championship with a similar budget in 2015 (or 16 i don't remember but i was there). at club levels you will not be paid for anything unless you have sponsors just like i'm trying to get sponsors now. to get good, just spend as much time as possible in the car or simply thinking about improvements on previous performances. if you want to talk more on this, my instagram is @tjchracing and it will be much easier to talk on there. race well and clean man
I know how Grosjean thinks: “Oh look, another car. Wait, there’s a bee on there! DON’T WORRY PIERRE, I’LL GET IT FOR YOU!” *absolutely massive crash that sends Gasly airborne*
That last half a second per lap always comes down to dealing with the pressure. It's almost more important than the skill level itself to be mentally stable and totally calm and relaxed.
I have some very basic emergency vehicle driver training. I once crested a hill and at the very top, I saw something large and white laying in my path.....without even really thinking, my foot stabbed the brake while my hands simultaneously turned the steering wheel very hard to the left. I missed hitting a large, dying dog that must have just been hit by another car seconds before I arrived. I exited my car, feeling great because now I would be able to move the dog off of the road and to safety. But, a few moments later....another car came rushing over the hill and promptly ran over the dog again.
Really uninformative relative to the title. Oh wow there's 3 parts of the brain in the chimp model. Oh wow they don't set themselves absurdly high goals. Truly amazing.
The Chimp model is similar to Freud’s Id, Ego and Superego (Human psyche). It’s just adapted it saying that we as humans can train our psyche without it being unconscious and out of our control
This is completely wrong. One has to react only when they haven't accounted for a given stimulus. Great drivers think and strategize beforehand thereby reducing their dependency on reflexes and reaction times
3:43 only 1.9 kg in 3 weeks? For me who does kick boxing this is surprising how light training u have been through (compared to me) when I was fat n started kick boxing I used to love that much weight in only 1 week n in 1 week there r only 3 classes of kick boxing but still Impressive
This is awesome! Gonna check if i missed a few videos, but i recommend adding the title of the series to the names of the videos. Like "Pro Gamer: yoir style title here".
I played F1 mobile on duel mode (which only 1 lap long per duel). After each race, my heartbeat went up, heavy breath, and sometimes sweating. Now I know that my emotion is way too high for being a racer :(
driving a car that was twice as powerful as today's cars without any electronic component, winning a race with the sixth gear locked making curves for 300 km and still riding a car well below its opponents and in the rain it was definitely incomparable. there will never be a pilot with the same talent as senna because
Hamilton thinks with his brain. Vettel thinks through a thick red angry fog. Max thinks he can't be overtaken. Bottas thinks he is not a No.2 driver. Kimi thinks Bwoah.
Dude u so right In F1 game when i am pushing hard i just push hard. But during fuel saving sometimes i manage to get better lap times by a cool head not joking
When i get on a Go kart, the chimp takes over me (Well I can t guarantee this is not happening all the time out of the Go kart too) lol. I could use a training course .
With their brains, duh
what if you don’t have a brain
Chambers1831 well, you are Grosjean (just joking GRO fans, if you exist)
@@ddt3619 well they do exist (maybe😂😂😂)
No shit Sherlock

"I will let my team through because my team told me too" Mercedes in a nutshell
Ferrari in a nutshell Kimi pull over Vettel is faster than you. Ferrari in their whole Massa pull over Alonso faster than you. Ferrari no one challenges Michael he is the #1 driver.
I mean Ferrari literally asked Barrichello to pull over to let Schumi win just before the finish line. Then again, I'm in my 30's.
Bottas: Copy, James
Nico: let's crash together like a team
F1 Drivers have the ability to think fast while remaining calm and fluid. Its truly amazing how they are able to drive so smoothly as such high speeds.
And even beyond: being aggressive while driving smoothly
They think fast 😎
Joking aside, very interesting video!
"I'll let my teammate through because my team told me so." Poor Poor Barrichello. Poor Massa. Poor Kimi. Poor Bottas :(
Your content is always improving. Loving the channel more and more each day.
Hamilton is just
#blessed
And
Vettel is just
#pissed
cursed?
Ramdina Hmar. I think you mean #cursed
WK HD VERSTAPPEN IS DA CHAMP

Matt doesn't look like he is 87kgs😂😂
Maybe tall
He's 6'1.
I was gonna say the same thing. He must be really tall!
True that.. he looks 70 at best
What tall?! kg is weight
Interesting behind the scene stuff! 🏆
as a much lower ranked racer this is actually interesting

That last half a second per lap always comes down to dealing with the pressure. It's almost more important than the skill level itself to be mentally stable and totally calm and relaxed.
I’m not sure half of the F1 drivers think at all!
honestly most drivers don't think whilst in the car, they just act on an instantaneous decision
Kimi's mind must be a complete void in comparison
I think vettel let's his chimp get the better of him too much. The same could be said of Perez of late. And the Finn's lock their chimps away too much

if they think it al goes to shit, they do all things on instinct i think
I dunno but I think that when they're waiting for the green light they repeat the McQueen before race phrase...
Underated comment
I always do that
Windows XP is a legend 5:06
They're fine as long as they don't have an internet connection
Who needs 4+ gigs of RAM, anyways?
1:54 "you job on the line for the next 70 laps". This is actually truly accurate; which is kinda crazy..
If he works a little harder he will be ready before season 2032/2033
Awesome and very interesting video
Despite all the training available in the F1 teams, there are still some maniac drivers in the track like torpedoman.
the maldonator too
Really uninformative relative to the title.
Oh wow there's 3 parts of the brain in the chimp model.

Truly
amazing.
1:16 I literally died of laughter
This felt like 2 videos played one after the other.
Good luck in Barcelona! Much luv
The Chimp model is similar to Freud’s Id, Ego and Superego (Human psyche). It’s just adapted it saying that we as humans can train our psyche without it being unconscious and out of our control
*_Good Drivers THINK_* , *_Great Drivers REACT_*
and the best react QUICKLY XD
Between Stimulus & Reaction, you have the power of choice..
No, great drivers strategize 😎
This is completely wrong. One has to react only when they haven't accounted for a given stimulus. Great drivers think and strategize beforehand thereby reducing their dependency on reflexes and reaction times
Go Matt! Wishing you all the Best.
Time slows down, We don’t even notice the Thinking sometimes. When time slows down we start focusing.
This "Chimp" Method was created by Steve Peters, he write a book "The chimp paradox", I recommend a lot

Loving this series, hope you guys do things like this more often!!❤️❤️
Kimi: Bwoah, with my brain. what else?
I have a question on the eye tracking thing, how are u going to look at the exit of the corner if u were in baku singapore or monaco??
This is awesome! Gonna check if i missed a few videos, but i recommend adding the title of the series to the names of the videos. Like "Pro Gamer: yoir style title here".

My inner voice after first corner in PCars2: "Chimp wins. Flawless victory. Fatality."
Isn't this basically Freud's hypothesis of the Id, Ego and Superego?
Can you share what your cardio workout routine was?
How do we watch the Nissan races my dudes and when are they??
HOW DO YOU THINK SO WELL? you are so clever?! Also, i got an ad for F1 right before this video
‘Can’t go out of plan if you didn’t have in the first place’
That dip at Mercedes. Love it
they should get Matt to drive a shifter kart, everyone says that its the closest to f1
Haha 280 watts?!? When you’ve wrapped up this eSports challenge, you should give Zwift (eSports cycling) a try.
Hamilton thinks with his brain.
Vettel thinks through a thick red angry fog.
Max thinks he can't be overtaken.
Bottas thinks he is not a No.2 driver.
Kimi thinks Bwoah.
Somehow with these preparation, i expect better result in Barcelona actually. But yeah, you already know.
Awesome video
They don't really think much, at least stroll doesn't.
+Patrick Aronis WHY?!
studying the brains of these pilots is easy, I want to see the Senna way of piloting. the best driver of all time
Pretty much the same... he was just really damn good
Mattys brain Xray image at 1:00 doesn't seem to be to scale...
*Spoilers*
yeah...so Matt ,which part of the brain kicks in when you spun at Parabolica?
Anyone got easy exercises to lower the heart rate and increase cardio vascular endurance
Next series... Matt drives and F1 car and tries not to puke inside his helmet!!!
1:12 he is talking about VB77 right?
We are not stupid, no one was thinking that you will build muscle in three weeks for a race (it's not wrestling).
Title: How does a formula 1 driver think?
Matt: They use their brains
Love it how you beeped out Fuck but not shit
Niki Lauda, the greatest brain of all the F1 Drivers 🇦🇹
the thumbnail has to be me cause im the BRAIN OF THE DRIVERS
Why did you blunder q3 then????
1:16 Bottas 2021 moment
I have pretty good reflects and im coold head. Sometimes i think i would be a good f1 pilot.
Those Ultraboost multi colour though!!!🔥🔥🔥
1. How have sky sports f1 not signed you to work for them already !?
And all the other esport kids just play all day at home and are like "i'm pretty good lets write in for that gaming Champion title"
With their brain. I saved you 6.42 minutes of your life, now give Ocon a seat
WTF1 IS THE BBC
Dude u so right
In F1 game when i am pushing hard i just push hard.
But during fuel saving sometimes i manage to get better lap times by a cool head not joking
But what they think at raidillon?
When are you gone do a video with verstappen 🤩
Usually with their brains
With their brains
1:15
Did you really have to remind me about that?
Actually, kmag is more attentive on the car behind and blocking them because he'll get out-lapped😂✌
When i get on a Go kart, the chimp takes over me (Well I can t guarantee this is not happening all the time out of the Go kart too) lol.
I could use a training course .
??? “Am I gonna get the drink?”
if you think u crash, u totally rely on instinct and muscle memory
The question is how tall are you Matt???
6’1 :)
This video could have been way shorter given the title. It only talks about the driver's brain very briefly.
How authentic is this?
How do drivers think: how the fuck do I crash my teammate without crashing myself
4:32 Yay Im Normal
Wouldnt push that far matt XD
And before this was just leading up to TH-camr championship season 3
Nobody:
Vettel: Gotta spin
I can tell you that the F1 strategists don't think in any kind of way.
You mean Ferrari strategists
4:30 yay im normal! 😂
There's subliminal message there for the merc team😂😂😂
good luck matt
interesting
With their brains. Boom just saved 6:42 minutes of your time
How do a team boss think
I think Verstappen is all chimp and Bottas isn't chimp enough to be champ
Welp we now know when this was recorded lmao
