I put a Xi3 on the bow of my 106MK. Works great
Ya but for almost 2k less this works well. If money isn’t an option xi3 is the way to go. If I was on water 3-4 times a week I would have gone that route.
I have an older model 106. I’m gathering from the video, the newer models have a preinstalled plate. Will this work on older model?
It’s not a preinstalled plate, but there were mount holes for a micro anchor.
off topic a bit, can you share the link where you got that anchor mount plate and track?

Are you able to take the trolling motor off quickly or is it bolted on? I car top so I would liketo take it off while transporting
Yes you can take it off rather quickly. Had two bolts with a mechanism that you hand tighten.
are you hauling the 106 on the roof or does it fit inside Sedona when everything is collapsed? Asking for current Sedona and future 106 pdl owner:)
Hey! So I have roofed it before with no problems! However, I have now purchased a trailer that can carry 4 yaks.
I just discovered this motor today. The questions I have are...Is the steering set up as if its bow mounted. So reversed when stern mounted. What size battery did you get?
Not 100% sure I get what you mean. See my other on water test to see pic of setup. Also, battery I purchased is in the video description
@@mathewpiccioni5963 yeah I didn’t think that through. But basically if you hit the right turn button does it turn the motor to the right or the kayak to the right.

What are the bolt an washer size you are using I'm going to put a mount on my pdl 120
There was already bolts in the holes when I bought the kayak brand new so I just took those to the store and bought slightly longer ones. Sorry I can’t remember the size.
Ok thats fine thanks ill just have to go to home depot an pick some up. I got a brand new 100ah lithium battery thats been sitting for months.@mathewpiccioni5963

So how satisfied are you with the motor so far
Absolutely love it! I’m more impressed with the battery! Can’t believe after 8 hours of continuous use I still have about 75-% battery. The motor is excellent… I am very happy.
Is it the 100 amp battery

You do know that's not the bow right 😅 I was told it's night and day difference mounted in the front
Ya I do lol. There is a mounting plate you can get from another vendor to hook up in front but comes with other issues. I can use my pedals this way if I so choose and the motor doesn’t interfere with my pedal drive system.
