wow..... that is incredible. Everything the japanese do is simply good ..I am filling my backyard with fruit trees but my family does not like the jungle look ..And , yes, japanese landscaping is unbeatable ..
***** Wow... Thats very bad thing for your mom.. wish her health . My trees are not growing because i am still confused what to use to make them grow. Thanks for the ideas. I pile up my fallen leaves in one place and run the mower on them to dissipate them back into the yard ..I prowl thru my kitchen garbage to recycle which my family hates My front yard also has 4 fruit trees.I just planted some sugar canes and they look so beautiful against the fence.persimmon, peach, bananas, pear, loquat, grapefruit , fig ,tangerine, orange drop , jackfruit, jamun (indian cherries)...i have guava saplings coming soon..

If you take time for your work and have some understanding and respect for the wood, precision is the reward. Power tools are turning a nice activity into a stressful job.
the video is so real ... we think we're doing it with our own hands ... and from one moment to the next ... We on this other side of the PC .. we notice that we are blowing with our mouth the wood shavings ... that's when we know .. that the manual artist's work and the filming of the video managed to captivate the interest of the public
Shawn Hawkins: Edo-Sashimono is a craft/art which is protected by law, I believe you cannot have an exposed dovetail in this kind of product and still qualify. If I remember correctly you cannot even use imported wood.
They do paint some wood items, but you are trying to fit your value system over theirs. It doesn't work. Many Japanese are willing to pay for fine work done in their traditional ways, and to their traditional aesthetic values.
Wie kann man so einem Video einen Daumen nach unten geben???? Was stimmt mit euch nicht ihr Dauerhater? Ist das nicht anstrengend immer alles scheisse zu finden?????
Not many real craftsman like him still around. A true artist.
Felicitaciones!! Es muy bello trabajo ❤
If I could go back in time , i would learn to be a wood worker . Like this master .

mieux que de la technique! une philosophie. Remarquable et impressionnant
It's absolutely wild to me to see this guy free-hand those dovetails with nothing but a chisel
Отличная работа. Соединения сложные, есть чему учится.👍🪓🪚
I cant even sit cross legged, let alone sit like that and make a cabinet.

This guy is good!
What is the name of the wood plane he uses in the very start of the video to make the 45 degree angel at the end of the dovetail?
Doesn't matter that I didn't understand a word; I understood the craftsmanship. Thumbs up!
what is the plane used to cut the mitres on the ends of the boards ?
Здорово!Золотые руки!
Precioso
Потрясающе.
Sir a work of art. Thankyou
I can't figure out how they mark the pins before cutting.
Knife marks made by a blade called a kiridashi
maestro artesano único
I can't believe how precise the work is and no glue applied either that I can see.

I’d love to find out what type of lumber they use to make their workbench/planing boards.

Ich liebe die Präzision der Japaner, da sind sie den Deutschen sehr ähnlich! Wunderschönes Kabinett-Schränkchen!

Generally, end grain is not considered attractive to them.
