- Twelve years ago the country woke to the tragedy of 67 students who were burnt to ashes at the Kyanguli secondary school in Machakos. Tonight our segment case files traces the story of the suspects of the shocking events of that day, and as KTN's Dennis Onsarigo will show you, the suspects who allegedly set the dormitory on fire have no release order filed at the criminal registry indicating that they were freed or are still being held in custody.

That journalist asking the kid to look up when talking . you're mad . Straight from tragedy, you want an interview and a kid at that,, you're MAD!!

Just read about this in a book and decided to check if the story is online. Very unfortunate events!! Thanks Onsarigo.
This is so heartbreaking!!!!! Oh God!
I was in Form one back then and I recall our Principle Mr. Kiwara had to call a meeting to let the students know of what evil other students can do..Truly justice was not serviced.
which school
Good job Dennis for keeping us informed, Justice was never served to the victims and may the Lord rest their soul in eternal Peace. I hope the government and the schools administration are taking caution to safeguard and protect lives of students.
I'm shivering while watching this..Soo painful, Rip young souls

Am sure these men don’t have peace wherever they are today seeing their mates with burnt scars and the spirits of 67 others haunting them!!
So insensitive of them laughing at court
Very sad indeed. 😭😭
good work denise onsarigo but where are you 2019 ,
extremely sad to raise a son only for him to die the most painful death...standing in the hallway and being pushed by other students till you succumb to the smoke and fire...*tears*...it almost happened in my school...But God was gracious to us.RIP and may God give strength to the famillies
Felix you will never know peace.

These two are now grown men and God knows they will never find peace in this life or the next. the painful death of those boys will haunt them forever.
Nyambura Rose
The same will befall them.
They are now in their early 30s probably even having family....
Would they wish anyone to hurt their kids .. ???
They will pay for all the evil they
did
@@JK-oy7sy I just wonder who could even agree to get married to those hooligans
So sad indeed may their souls continue resting
may those who were involved never find peace
Bless their souls.
Poleni sana. Very heartbreaking indeed.
the students currently thinking of burning schools should learn from this, lives were lost, for good.
So sad indeed
My God this is so heartbreaking....Bless and soothe the parent's hearts...
This is quite sad.
May their souls continue resting in peace...
May this NEVER happen again...R.I.P
how in the world could this termed as a mistrial? the boys admitted to taking part in the plan. smh at how some people don't take other peoples' lives seriously. the judge should have put himself in the parent's shoes and justice would have been served.
Mom dont cry to the goverment cry to ur all mighty lord because in heaven there no trials is aeither hell or paradise i belive ur son is in paradise
Just heartbreaking! Why would you kill fellow students for the transgressions of the principal? This is so sad!
Many years have passed i know.....but the memories shall forever live with us.....What really happened?
I read this story in a set book back in high school, Mayai Waziri WA Maradhi: Ndimi za mauti, my fasihi teacher mentioned she was teaching at this particular school when tragedy struck! May their soul rest in peace.
So sad
this was very sad..rip boys
Nani ameona hizo ng'ombe mbili zikicheka?
Aki nmeziona😭😭
Its unbelieveable that they can still afford to laugh
may their soul rest in peace,,,too painful...
They might have changed their identities but not in the eyes of God. God is forgiving but only when you are remorseful. I pray to God to continue giving strength to the parents, families and friends of the 67 boys
so painfull only GOD will juge
May their souls rest in peace
Even the place that was supposed to be a fite exit for them was blocked. What a pity so sad. Every school should have fire exit, northing should be kept in front of it or behind it,just in case there could be a way out.
Poleni sana may their soul's R.I.P...
How I wish students all over would watch this story the narration by dennis hakuna mwanafunzi atachoma shule tena

The judiciary is the weakest link to getting justice in Kenya. So sad
Lord help our younger children to have LOVE which is the key determined in life we`re.

Its very shocking to see what students are doing to their fellow students, children that we are depending on for them to help us in the future are doing evil things, whom will we rely on during our old ages??????????

so sad! R.I.P
The wheel of Justice in Kenya doesn't move.
This was so very inhuman
Sad that they had to lose their lives mysteriously. But the deputy principal and the principal were very complacent. This most dreaded disaster had been simmering for too long. Their response was very careless.
Judiciary and the police too never did their best for reparations and quest for justice.
May they continue resting in peace.
It's so painful ....I miss you my brother rest in peace .
Am sorry for the loss,no one deserves to go through such
I feel it ..just be strong ..peace be with u in Jesus name.
Very painful, sorry for what happened Alice
Painful and sad, may God continue comforting you
domitories windows should not be grilled and doors not locked
pole may he R.I.P
Really sad, and to imagine nothing was done to the 2 culprits courtesy of poor judicial system.
KEEP IT UP DENNIS.
Very bad indeed.incidents almost happened in 2007 but we had to stop such as student body leadership board.due to hatred though expulsion happened but I could not stand thr facts.Rip all those who lost and the Honolulu outcome
JUSTICE JUSTICE JUSTICE.!!! Right denied is right delayed Right denied
I am here after kijabe boys fire incident.God remember bour sons.
Boarding schools should all be closed down. Children at teenage need their parents more. They are in a transitional age.
I agree there is so much unrest in Boarding schools...I know a school somewhere in Central,Nyeri to be precise, that was closed and the entire student population from form one to form fours expelled due to incidents of unrest and that was in the late 90's the school had to be put under new management.
@@Temboz which school is that?
@@samkrooo8017 Kirimara high school...that was in the late 1990s....they expelled the entire school population with the form fours only allowed to return to the school to sit for their final exams...there after, the school was put under new management which means they had to admit fresh students..the school had numerous cases of unrest, rampant bullying, strikes every term, drug abuse, truancy and other bad criminal behaviour among students teachers being assaulted, students sneaking out of school and attacking mugging villagers etc...so bad was the school, the former management had no choice but to shut it down and expelled the entire student population with police being called, standing guard and students being given just a couple of minutes to take their belongings and vacate the school...I should know, because a relative attended the school in the mid 90s.
Rip we will dearly miss u guys
Pole for that, God give u strenght
the incident happened but regardless of the action of students we still have authority to blame as the dormitory which served 100 students ought to have fire exit doors. Never the less even after this incident we did not see health and safety of public building improved by make it mandatory to have fire exit in all buildings
Why let them free. So sorry. May the souls rest in peace
So sad,i lost a great friend Mbithi Mwanzia.Continue resting in peace Mbithi.
Free!!!!!!!!!!!!
😭😭😭😭😭
May their souls and may they not rot in hell if indeed they killed fellow students..
Sad that the same trend is still with us
I miss Dennis,,,,, where are you???
I can't believe these two boys were set free
Grace me
Boys or murderers? They resemble Lucifer.
