They were too lazy to bother.
When you have units that looked like they were all clones, it's not like a minor character would draw anyone's attention.
That being said, I don't think that anyone would mind that they did that as everybody likes the soldiers more anyways.

I thought he was christian in all of them. I thought the chieftain turned away from paganism (by looking away from the shrine) and then kneeled before the priest to convert. It made sense to me because the barbarian factions are able to convert and they eventually did in real life

The Total War series was divided. From Shogun 1 to Warhammer, TW series sprawled. CA ripped itself to pieces, abandoning Total War, while fans looked on modders.
The sun rose on Ancient Empires and Medieval Kingdoms. New mods where spirit of Total War prospered. Modders grew rich and powerful, paying TW gamers to test their mods. And behold the Blood DLC, and power was given developer to take modding capabilities from the game.
Modders of the Total War games, those architects of a new game modes and fixers of old games to make them playable. They made ready for another unstable patch.

I really like the way the mood is set. If you read the books of Revelations and Joel, you find descriptions of the apocalypse that were accepted by the growing Christian population of the Roman Empire and Barbarian tribes. What you find is descriptions of horsemen, coming from afar to destroy the world. The four horsemen of war, famine, death and pestilence all apply to this period, and with the war brought by Attila the Hun, it’s easy to see why people though the end of the world had come. Indeed, the horse mentioned in the intro to the game is ‘Behold a white horse: and he that sat in him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth to conquer.’ It’s easy to see how people saw Attila and couldn’t help thinking he wasn’t God’s attempt to end the world. Unfortunately, biblical history and scripture has mostly fallen out of reference bar a few descriptions and phrases (Love thy neighbour, turn the other cheek, bite the dust etc.) the game itself sets up this biblical belief in the ending of the world, the terror it inspired, and the sense of joy that deliverance from evil brought. It doesn’t show us what we think of Attila, it shows us what those who lived at the time thought of him

    My impressions:
1)Huns.Their perfectly portray their nature as nomadic raiders, and unreliable.BUT,to reach more historical accuracy, they should edit Caucasians or Iranians in their ranks, because the Hunnic army that ravaged Europe in the 5th century was multinational(Scythians,Samartians,Gepids,Goths, even Greeks and Romans according to Priscus). Also their equipmet should be more various,if not to say poor. They were primarily horse archers and wore usuallly light,or not at all, armor.Anything else could be special deliveries or spoils of war.
2)Roman West.A state of decay.Fighting endlessly the barbarian hordes, with internal conflict further weaking the realm.Very nicely done. The only errors are:a)Chainmail armor was far simpler in that period(these guys are wearing the much earlier type Lorica Hamata, whith the additional shoulder protection).b)The armies of Rome were consisted mostly of Germanic warriors from 4th century and onwards.
3)Roman East.Despite being frequently threatened by north and east alike, the Eastern realm still stands as a wealthy and powerfull state, and will guard Rome's legacy throughout the Middle Ages. Also, bribing foreign rulers was a policy favored by Eastern Romans.Errors:a)Scale armor used by both Western and Eastern Romans,as did chainmail.b)The purple was worn only by members of the imperial family.c)Look 2)-b)
4)Barbarians(Particular the Germanic).Their intro echoes the early Migrations Period(3rd-4th centuries),in which the barbarian agricultural society was disturbed from the Eurasian nomadic storm, letting them no choice but to abandon their lands and force themselves to the declining Roman world. What's confusing with that cutscene is that although they hadn't converted to Christianity yet,and most of their culture indicates pagan worshiping, they have a christian priest, the same one that appears in the Roman intros.
5)Sassanids.I was trully dissapointed in this one.The clips were marvellous, but the Sassanid's motivations was somehow idiotic.Especially in '''Red Horse'' trailer.''The desert does not forget'',It doesn't fit even as an allegory. While they should show that the Sassanids are trying to imitate the feats of Cyrus the Great's empire, they are portrayed just as Rome's enemies and not as an entire differrent and prosperous civilization. Also they're always related with the desert. They're PERSIANS,not ARABS or BERBERS.
Apart from that, very good.IF a new Total war:Middle Earth comes out,the factions should have intros such as these.Imagine Gondor having an intro like Western Roman empire's.

The forums were filled with DLCs and fanboys. Creative Assembly was divided. From the pillars of Rome 1 to the far Medieval II total war the great franchises streched. Sacred games, where men of greatness developed. Those who followed neglected Total War, developing shit AI and DLCs tactics over the past glory of Rome 1. They would either cast aside their petty greediness or succumb to fanboy darkness. Behold Warhammer Total War and power was given to him that sat thereon to remove the fanboys once and for all. GAMERS OF THE GREAT ROME 1 , those noble sons of the Creative Assembly, the time had come to restore glory to Total War. They made ready for Warhammer Total War..

I felt that the Roman faction intros should have had more uniqueness, maybe explaining their current situation a little better as to what their motives were and the problems they faced. I do not mind the same animations being thrown in here and there, but the ideology behind each faction needs to get through. Especially so because this is an intro video that is shown just before the player starts the game, and not some random teaser that's put on the TH-cam.
Not trying to make a comparison war with previous Total War games here, just pointing out some of the better ideas of the past. If you see the Roman faction intros in Rome Total War, it clearly stated their threats and ambitions. And there was some sense of urgency there. I felt that it was not conveyed well in these intros. Despite the massive threat that loomed and the many issues of running such a vast empire with many enemies, I did not feel any of that from these intros. Not much can be done this time, but I hope that for the next Total War game/content, they make an intro that actually has more of an impact. You know something that reflects the high quality of the gameplay that follows. Anyways glad to see that CA has some intros out there this time. And the Sassanids intro was actually good.

the lines at the start and end of each faction intro are repeated on purpose. the game intro ends with a line that starts each faction intro. each faction intro ends with the same line, to be repeated at the start of movie 3 (the attila is born movie i believe) etc. its so all the movies are connected if you play through the entire campaign - from game intro, through the faction intro, through the later attila movies, until the win movie.

The sassanids were IRANIANS and not arabs, and they had the most sophisticated armoured CAVALRY >> ASWARAN the INTRO for the SASSANIDS is a JOKE. SASSANID KINGDOM was the only POWER who defeated most the time the romans. ART, LITERATURE and SCIENCE flourished. SASSANIDS were the KNIGHTS of that time

The only ones that stood against the mongols and pushed them back were the muslims and the final battle was Sultan Qutuz vs HUlagu and gengis Khan and then as strange as it seems the mongols converted to islam

Mu Qri Question, during that time though the Khans were fighting against each other again for power and quite possibly some of them found that their soldiers are more loyal to a leader that is practices the same religion as them? What was an incentive to why some Khans became Islamic
