Fantastic video Martyn. Superb shots at Kingswear from unusual angles . Look like there was a steam engine on the hillside LOL . Very enjoyable watch. Kind regards C&A
Great "takes " at Kingswear getting a real flavour of the place , with those lucky ,lucky people de-training no doubt eager to join the ferry to sample the delights of Dartmouth . No better place to relax for the more mature among us ?
A few years ago there was a ban on engines whistling as they passed Dawlish due to complaints from local residents. It's good to see that it's been lifted or ignored.
To me, Dawlish is a great location. To ban engines from whistling through Dawlish (to me) is like banning engines from whistling over the Flinders Street Viaducts back home in Melbourne, Australia, with our North British built "R class" engines of 1951/52/53. Superb coverage in a great setting. Thanks for this.
I absolutely love the multi-angles! Great video, mate :)
Thank you very much. We're so glad you enjoyed it.
Excellent coverage as always Martyn, good use of the two cameras, and nice to see so many passengers at Kingswear from both trains...Regards...Bob
Thanks Bob. Kingswear still remains a favourite destination for day trippers and holidaymakers alike. Long may it continue.
Excellent filming. Castle Cary shot impressive.

Thank you as always C&A. All those angles have been covered many times by us over the years. It's hard to find anything new.
Wow I enjoyed that well done for getting her at Kingswear
Thanks very much Terry. It was a close call at Kingswear as we arrived at the same time as the train.

Thank you very much. Kingswear has to rank as one of the best destinations for an excursion, and I agree with you about the delights of Dartmouth.
I saw that tour coming through Dawlish Warren on the up trip and then i filmed it from The Rock coming back!
That's a lot of whistling!

Nice footage and good weather to boot........... BUT............senseless and unnecessary use of the whistle
does it do any harm to anyone?
You would really not like to be around a U. S. steam fan trip if you do not like whistles! That's half the experience in the U. S.
