32:47, I used to visit this Shotengai in 2012. I, along with friends would come here from Ibaraki, Osaka using Hankyu railway, get off at Kawaramachi and then walk along the Kamo river before heading off to this Shotengai. An hour or so later we'd get tired and there was a All you can eat Pizza buffet (along with alcohol) . I'd also relish a drink or two from countless vending machines (Roiyaru miruku tea). It was probably the best phase of my life. Thanks Rambalac for helping me revisit those memories.
2 Years later and my heart is still in this city. I love everything about Kyoto. Suppose to have been going back to do some language schooling, yet constant border closes has kept me home. One day I will be back. Thank you for the video!

That was a very beautiful river walk. Love the colors of the trees and the peaceful atmosphere. I truly appreciate wonderful walks like this. Kyoto is such a gem. Hope more of the old Machiya houses can be saved.

There's just something about the alleys in Japan that I find fascinating. You almost beat out that red light at the end, you must be a runner when you aren't walking lol. Another great video!
I really enjoyed the warm sky colors towards the end of the walk. So relaxing! I spend so much time at home, it really made me want to get out and go for a walk in the evening. It's super cold where I live so that's not an option right now, but in the spring I think it would be a very good thing to get out of the house more. Thank you for another lovely video!

踏水会の向こう側が65年前の生誕地でした。右に曲がって次の一旦停止を左に曲がるとチョロチョロ川と疎水に掛かる橋が有ります。こどもの頃良く魚獲りをしました。左を見ると日本最初の水力発電所が今も残っています。台風で疎水に掛かるこの木造橋が崩壊流されていくのを目撃した事もあります。チョロチョロ川ではよく家の障子を持って行って障子紙を流水で剥がし貼り直したのを覚えています。踏水会では当時疎水で泳ぎを修練しました。当時の疎水には魚がいっぱい居て体を散々突かれ泳いでいてこそばゆかったです。手長エビやナマズ、ギィギィ、ドンコ、色んな魚類がいました。モンドリを使うとオイカワなど数十秒でぎっしりいっぱい入ってきました。懐かしい所を動画発信して頂き有難うございました。
