You asked for some how to videos on the facebook fanpage so here is one. Taking down a big 36+ inch pine tree, also a view from the outside at the end.
A farmer was killed when a 40-metre pine tree fell on the digger he was driving at a rural address near Otorohanga, south of Hamilton, just before midday. The victim, a 48-year-old local farmer, was found dead by ambulance staff. The digger had been pulling over a tree when it landed on the cab, where the driver was stuck, Kluessien said. The tree had fallen earlier than expected after a hole was dug around it, police said.
I saw other videos of people trying to push big trees with out digging around it. I got one thing to say doing the right way and take care of your machines , good job that's way to do it less stress on the machine
No, problems with roto on this kind of jobs. You would just have to lose the thumb and i don't think Cris wanna lose that. :) Or you could take the roto with a quick coupler fit so you can take it off if you wanna do some rough jobs.
Depends what you plan on doing? Just clear cutting. Or everything? You could do it with two machines a processor to fell and do CTL and a forwarder to haul them to road. If you plan on doing it yourself. Other wise I would say if your looking at a few guys you could do it that way or get a feller/buncher skidder and processor. All depends on volume you plan on doing and how many people you plan on having
@letsdig18 here in bc canada we are required by the workers compensation board to have cat walks AND window/cab guarding to be able to clear or demolish legally...looks like its not the law down in north carolina
A lot of ground disturbance for one tree. Need a bigger excavator the cat 330BL I'm operating would have done that no problem. And that with a grapple to dig with no bucket
It´s such a shame how respectless people like you destroy our nature only for money and without any remores. Really such a shame. God will judge you for that how you treated mother earth we´re living on.
You know trees grow back right? It's the original recyclable commodity. Plant trees, trees grow, cut down trees, make houses for clueless tree-huggers, plant trees, trees grow back, etc.

Do you live in a house? Where do you think that wood comes from?
@@cooper8318 From an ever shrinking supply which has created skyrocketing lumber prices.
@@benkantor2052 Current prices are artificial. There is no shortage of wood or trees. Go to a lumber yard and ask them
