I’m thinking about getting one for my cat 308 but I see a lot of disagreement on how wide is safe for the excavator. Guys who use them a lot however seem to universally wish they had bought a wider one. Several people who use similar weight excavators to mine (19K+/-) bought 48” but now wish they had 72” rakes. What do you think? Thanks
The extra width makes clean up faster, but too wide and digging around big trees would be hard on things. I switch back to my bucket when removing large trees, to dig around the base. Very valuable tool in my opinion. A bad operator is what is hard on a machine not the tool! Just use it smart.
A 48" will keep your machine on the job longer over time. Keep working the 2 days you wait on a part to show up. Or, split the difference and get a 60.
This machine is a CX210D, 50,000 lb machine. Not much experience on a mini, I’m sure it’ll work on some trees but the bigger the machine the easier the trees come out.
While I understand why you removed the hedgerows, I am disappointed that you did so. Songbirds use those hedgerows to raise their young and for winter shelter, and deer use them as travel corridors for cover while crossing large open tracts of farmland. While in my teens, these same types of hedgerows you are removing, provided me with hours daily of rabbit and Bob white quail hunting, as well as red fox and raccoon trapping. These hedgerows also provide windbreaks, stopping soil erosion and help trop blowing a drifting snow and provide winter shelter for birds and wildlife. By removing hedgerows, you are eliminating food and shelter for wildlife and eliminating opportunities for hunters of all ages to enjoy the outdoors.
These are just nasty regrow of thorny locust trees. I appreciate the judgement while not having any idea about the total scope of project. This farm is no-till on the crop acres and good grass otherwise. No erosion problems due to wind as well as this row mainly runs due north and south, so no windbreak benefits. This is being done to facilitate proper management of any water runoff that may occur, fixing terraces and waterways. As to wildlife habitat, they have plenty of other areas. No shortage of quail, deer, even pheasants. Thanks for setting me straight!
Have one and really like it. Works to separate rocks from dirt also.
Thank you for the normal speed video. Much more fun to watch
What a great attachment. Saves a lot of time.
Man rolls up with a rake....
"Im boutta do what the kids call.... A pro gamer move"
Most satisfying video I have seen in a long time.
Thank you
its just amazing the power these machines have
Great idea! A brush rake in place of a bucket... Here is a thought, do the same for the thumb.
Good job you make it look so easy you’re a good operator
Thank you
Как своей рукой управляет!!! Респект!!!
thats the greatest attachment i ve seen.i want one for my 160
Very efficient. Tiller, plow, and disc all in one. Oh yea, rake also.
Nice work! Looks so much better without that brush. I love doing work like that!
Thanks
@@SteveLawrenceExcavating hello, how much does such a head cost an excavator and you don't know if you can get it in Latvia
How many hectares can it work on 500lts of fuel?

Get the wide rake and a single spear root cutter as a separate tool
What size excavator do you have, would a mini excavator be able to do the same? Like a 14HP engine?

Right now northern tool has a fang rake $259 delivered. Fits their small tiny excavator. 20"x20" approx 75 lbs.
This was quite relaxing. :)
Where did you get that attachment?
I have watched many debushing machines at work but this monster is game. The name and model of the machine please.
Nice Job! liked the the music
Thanks
Definitely pro-level operating skills! Nice video. Burn pile video next?
Thanks
Nice work. I like the rake bucket. What brand is it?
Not sure, not marked. Probably an SEC or something similar. I bought it used at auction.
What is song track?
Very nice work!
Thanks

Now thats a handy tool to have !
Get a mulcher way faster and no tree to deal with later...
200$ per hour. Only took 16 minutes . I have a bunch of work for you to do.
I was close to being sea sick at first, then it was normal, for a bit but enjoyed it all the same.
Kinda like fencerows myself.
운전실력이 대단합니다 장비도 좋고요

Now, what to do with all that brush...
Let it dry down then burn it.
Too bad you can't grub mesquite trees like that ...?

Is that a burn pile, or do you mulch all of that
Just burn it. It's out in the middle of nowhere.
