1926 Northwest 105 Dragline back from Burton Show

This is such a beautiful and good-running restoration that it's easy to forget that the machine is 89 years old.
The sheet metal and wooden windows were completely replaced. I have posted many videos of the restoration process, including several videos showing the process of hot riveting the cab.
Although the Twin City engine ran when the machine was acquired, it ended up requiring internal work, which will be posted soon.
Note the riveted Page bucket that came with the machine.
The machine has a pig iron counterweight, in a large weight box inside the house, behind the engine. The video "Lakeside Spring Show Prep 2014 Part 2" shows the pig iron being loaded at 36:57. Each pig weighs about 50 pounds, about the same as a cement block, but much more compact.
The sound of the big Twin City gasser provides the music track, especially when idled down.
