These guys' confidence was pretty well-placed. The deal with Peter didn't go through, and it took them a couple more years to really take off but they're going really strong now, with turnover in the £12m range and collabs with brands like Disney and Barbie. They pivoted to a more female-focused lifestyle brand, which makes a lot of sense given the product.

I loved this episode of Dragon's Den.
The young man miming the words was hilarious, but the look on the Dragons face holding back their laugh is priceless. When Peter called him out about miming words, his reaction was adorable.

After watching Shark Tank videos before DDen, I much prefer the natural sales pitches from the British entrepreneurs. No silly pantomime, vaudeville choreography to introduce themselves and the product. No achingly fake smiles and ShamWow, bad-acting voices. Just real people presenting their wares in a straightforward manner. And the Shark Tank investors seem to question the passion of those who pitch without a carnival song and dance. The calm demeanor of these three gentlemen in no way diminished the perception of their intense passion for their business. The drama is in the unfolding of the process; no cartoon bells and whistles needed.
I don’t watch much if at all of the Shark Tank ones for that very reason.
Here in Japan this stuff has been out for the past 20 years. There used to be a really big market for these covers, and while some people to use decorative covers, the nunbers are rapidly declining now.
Don't forget this episode is from before 2012. 13 years ago it was a huge market

Shocked the dragons didnt ask what their intetions were for 120k ~ this was alot of money for back in 2012 and for such young in-experiened entrepreneurs, but i guess the chaps professionalism and their sales figures did the talking.
They cut an hour long conversation into a 15 minute episode segment. I'm pretty sure they always ask the same sort of questions, but they'll only include the ones that are interesting/relevant to the actual pitch.
