"Woman of the Hour" does not rely on gratuitous violence. Instead, it made me feel like I was the one being hunted from start to finish. Very disturbing and unsettling but a film everyone (not just women) should watch. The film puts a spotlight on the female experience and gives multiple warnings to always be aware of your surroundings and who you allow to get close. Again, this film is not just for women. It's a must-watch.
This movie was so good and so unsettling. It's incredible how often she puts herself in uncomfortable, compromising, and vulnerable positions to avoid seeming impolite. What a disservice it is to teach little girls this. Trust your instincts, be wise, and protect yourself.
This is the scariest movie I’ve ever seen because it is a perfect depiction of the dangers women face just walking through this world! Well done, Anna Kendrick!
Great nods to how women were more blatantly disrespected in those days (that would happen behind closed doors now 😒) and how women mask their moments of discomfort to remain polite (to their detriment). Loved it. Anna nailed it.
I've never seen anything Anna is in, but I love her from interviews. Especially the Between the Scenes with Trevor Noah. It's impossible not to love her after that.
@@rmac1828 lmao she’s one of the most followed people on twitter and every video she’s in is full of comments of people saying they would love to be her friend/bf/gf 😂 what a stupid post
I love her in anything, but this was a very good movie. One or two scenes that I had to backup and watch again. totally by accident - I found out it is different if you use closed captioning or subtitles, as we could read dialog that was barely audible (at 1-2 huge key scenes). Eg. there is a scene where a man mumbles under his breath and she turns around and says "What?"...ughh. so scary and well done.
Anna Kendrick is incredibly talented, smart, funny & humble! "Woman of the Hour" is a masterpiece, and everyone should watch it 🙏🙏🙏 I had great, almost impossible-to-meet expectations about Anna Kendrick as a director, and she did even better than in my wildest dreams! What a talented lady ❤❤❤
@@wayneglenn6820 She is indeed!!! ...and because it's such a great Music Video, "Cups" is probably one that I've shown to my mom the most... I wish my mom was still around to see "Woman of the Hour" ...sigh... Can't say it enough: great movie!!!
For a Netflix movie it was not bad, but for a theater movie I felt it did not fit. There is a different environment for each, I watched it on a theater and did not like it, but then at home it felt better.
I’m a guy, but I found the film incredibly disturbing and haunting……as in I’m still trying to get some of the scenes out of my head. It really made me feel the way so many women must feel having to deal with male ego’s, and the fear of violence. The way that it ends blew my mind and broke my heart.
Probably because it has more dramatic impact when he gives his answer last. If that's the only factual detail they swapped around, count yourself lucky. 😜
The dialogue and the costuming felt too modern. I didn't feel like I was immersed in the 70's, I felt like I was watching 70's cosplay My only gripe, other than that I really enjoyed the movie! I was thoroughly entertained! Here's to more Anna Kendrick movies!
@@midlifeandnailingit6342 Agree to disagree. I am a stickler for period costuming. I didn't like that they didn't even try and get the hair accurate at the least
@@midlifeandnailingit6342I agree because I lived through the seventies and yes there was more seventies style out there then but there was more subtle styles also.
It was a pretty good movie and I enjoyed her performance but I'm wondering why they decided to name it that? I don't think that was a good name at all for this movie.
I SAW THIS FILM, & IT IS NOT-------------NOT, FOR THE FAINT OF HEART ! IT IS CREEPY, & SCARY, MOST OF ALL, BECAUSE IT IS ALL TOO TRUE. OH BY THE WAY, RODNEY ALCALA, WAS BACHELOR #1 ----------NO0T #3. ----------------------MJL, 78 Y/O
The movie was okay the only thing that was 70s about the movie was the wardrobe, and I’m not the woke type but it absolutely was an unrealistic woke take on a real event.
Anna Kendrick is so overrated and has to be one of the most complicated humans on the planet. I read more about what she doesn’t want to do in films and how she tells us what to do in relationships and in life. I’ve read them and assessed them and more power to her she can live with her choices but to me her situation is only for her or the 3% of all about me personality’s that want attention and want to be judgy about others

I agree. I watched it in parts because it made me feel so icky.

I will be watching this, I like Anna Kendrick's outfit, beautiful green color.
She was AWESOME. I hope she directs more projects.

She held her own w Clooney in Up in Air and made impression immediately.
The way this story was told was amazing and it totally worked.
I could not picture the concept working beforehand, but it really did.
I just watched this
Great movie and so proud of her.
This is an incredibly strong directorial debut from Anna 👏 👏 👏

You did so amazing Anna
Cups song, it's how you entered my personal zeitgeist. Thank you for existing Ana Kendrick.

I love Anna so much, and will be watching this movie as soon as possible.
Yes she is Latina propaganda for the the democrats and pretends she’s a republican! She is what you call fake
Us Latinos and gays are tired of her
Loved it!
She did a great job. Reminded me a lot of Sofia Coppola's style. Good tension throughout the novie, which is good, given the subject matter.

Eleanor: "Are you Chidi Anna... Kendrick?"
Chidi: "Anagonye. And, yes."
The actor who plays the serial killer is so good. Even the prosecutor who was over the trial thought he nailed it.
I Love Anna!! Shes kind, talented. Ive been a fan of hers forever!! 🥰💜
We are all voting for the real person and not what millionaires think we shouldn’t do! We as Americans are done
I love Anna Kendrick sooo much!!! So proud of her!!!❤️❤️❤️ she's my inspiration!!! she's my all time favorite actress!!!❤
We love anna kendrick
The black girl in the film looks like the late Donna Summer.
“History, in general, only informs us what bad government is.” Thomas Jefferson
Why is it not available in Canada??
Lets just get to Pitch Perfect 4 already

Yay it evoked empathy
Alcala was actually bachelor #1. Why change that?
Probably because it has more dramatic impact when he gives his answer last. If that's the only factual detail they swapped around, count yourself lucky. 😜
Did everyone notice the survivor female had a disability?
info on Sara's dress in this episode? Designer?
Bachelor number 2 had two bad answers lol. Hilarious. I'm a misandrist and I live for this.
The movie is based on the horrific serial killer Rodney Alcala. I knew the dating show portion looked familiar.
I can't see women not watching it. They love watching serial killer shows. 🤔
This movie was disturbing…and based on a true story…
I literally watched and enjoyed the movie. When I learned it was true my mouth dropped

Ummmm… 48 here. It was definitely 70s. 🤷♀️ Dead on in fact.

I thought the time was accurately portrayed with regards to the reporting being ignored by police and security.

Tina Fey :)
The expressions 'awesome!' and 'we love that' were not modern parlance then. It's off-putting.The performances were fine, however.
Love Anna Kendrick, hate the cast of the view.
I hear Sarah telling something ,saw her breathe out , Hope she is okay
I think that she has a cold. Her voice sounds different.
Not on Netflix in Canada (boo hoo)

Whoopi looking very attractive in those sunglasses today. Her husband is very lucky
Bahahaha ☠️💀 So silly.

She says " like...like...like...like" so many times in a sentence. It's unfortunate because it makes her sound silly when I know she's not.
The movie sucked, should've been way better.
Hmmm. Interesting take away.
I loved it.
She didn't do a good job. She missed actual facts in the movie.
its not a documentary
