    Question friend, the texturizing razor can be replaced by thinning scissors, maybe, I think that way you can remove a little weight or volume from the hair so that it is light and with successful movement.

    • @theoneminutebarber
      @theoneminutebarber  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can use the thinning Scissor too. But I would lift the sections up at 90 degrees to the head and cut twice, on the end third and the tips.

    Thank you for the video. I'm a bit of a novice and I'm curious... what is the reason behind cutting horizontal sections? Why not do just vertical sections? Thanks!

    • @theoneminutebarber
      @theoneminutebarber  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Two reasons. The vertical sections are a way to take the hair down to a manageable length. Then the horizontal sections can be used to check for imperfections also known as cross checking, or they can be used to reduce length further but in a more refined way as there is not as much hair to deal with.

    @1:22 How do you know how much to cut? Is there a Guide from vertical?

    • @hurstod533
      @hurstod533 ปีที่แล้ว

      I know you said your looking for the length you cut it in debunking, but how do you know?

    • @theoneminutebarber
      @theoneminutebarber  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The shortest hair I can see along the spine of the comb is the guide. That is how short I cut it when debulking so anything slightly longer than the shortest point needs to be matched to the shortest point

    Would you ever consider taking diagonal sections on the sides for this type of cut?

    • @theoneminutebarber
      @theoneminutebarber  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It really just depends on where you go with the diagonal section. Are you going to overdirect it in a certain direction? How is it joining to its neighbouring section etc.... Does it progressively get longer/shorter

    WHQ. You started the top (on the first side), how did you determine where the first section would be?
    Also, how did you know you were pulling each subsequent section to the bottom fact same spot and not some point just before?

    • @theoneminutebarber
      @theoneminutebarber  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The reference section is something I've used many times, it has to start behind the ear, the further back it is then the more exaggerated the overdirection/graduation by the time you reach the front. Regarding how far back to pull it, the reference section is the length you want so that has to be pulled out and the hair from the front pulled back to it. The reference section needs to be visible as a cutting guide. I'll try and make that clearer on video the next time I do a cut like this.
