I. Faint Heart
Faint heart
World can wait for the weary hands to learn it's too late
But I'm spit and I'm rough dirt
What do you want from me?
Faint heart
Tip of my tongue
A song like youth: wasted on the young
And it's over and over
What kind of father could I be?
Faint heart
Rain to the spark
At last my light, giving in to dark
And the thought of it crumbling to dust - no, I was not done
Faint heart
I beg she won't see the coward, the cur, maybe this is me
These hands shaped stone
But I'm scared like you wouldn't believe
Faint heart
Only a glimpse
I was wrong, take it back, just let this one live
Then it hits me like ice to the bone
What if I'm just like him?
Good god
Give me the strength that I need not to be
To fight, not to flee
Or succumb to the beast underneath
What if he's just like me?naked in the wild
All was reconciled
When I held my child
II. A Few Peaceful Years
Quiet mind
Peace... Reach...
Quiet mindBe at peace... Reach...
We are the fire that whispers our mother's words
Help me, love, help me to finish it
We are the soil that joy gave form
We are the dream, and these are my father's hands
Help me, love, help me to finish it
We are the soil that joy gave form
III. The Boy and the Broken Wheel
Rising waves cry "he'll go first..."
He'll go first
(You know it al all that's left of your dream)[You know that it is true]
Is all this nothing to you?
[Hope sings to the dust of you]
Fear...
(What if they were right?)
[He was always the better]
He was always the better
[The thief who shapes the world.]
The thief who shapes the images you dreamed
[Dreamed for nothing]
All unfinished dreams...
For nothing
(The images you dreamed were for nothing...)
(Take back what's yours, don't keep me waiting)
[Take back what's yours, don't keep me waiting]
Just take back what's yours, don't keep me waiting
No more hope, broken pieces in your hands
[In your weary hands]
Waves rushing in
I'm waiting
I wait
He sees me
Waves receding
The child, healing my hurt, one day at a time
I'd feared it
Just like me
The child, healing my hurt, one day at a time
Storm's distant
I'm still closer than ever
I'm healing my hurt
One day I'll repay this kindness
Oh, he sees meWhole
Her voice is telling me
To breathe and let it be, the lion
Heed my words
The man arise from earth
The life the lie is worth, the liar
Heed my words, you'll go first
The wound that would not heal
The boy, the broken wheel, the lion
Heed my hurt
The wind that whips the waves
The spit, the second grave, the liar
Heed my hurt, you'll go first
We are the fire that whispers our mother's words
Help me, love, help me to finish it
We are the soil that joy gave form
We are the dream, and these are my father's hands
Help me, love, help me to finish it
We are the soil that joy gave form
Waves receding, and faith is fading like the sun
The work left undone
IV. Hands Shape Stone
Greed brought us here
Soon, blood to soil
Now that has been taken from me
Tell me it was all for nothing
Alright
Play the part, the eyes, the witness
That I can touch you deep, can you feel this?
Alright
Breathe and let it be
Carving out the world that you stole
Bite down on it, dig a new hole
O hands
I beg you, break stone beneath me
Knowing that she won't forgive me
Not this time, not again
But she married my anger too
And what am I to stay to my son now?
My work undone...
Hands shape stone

15+ minutes prog rock? I was prepared to be bored and leave early.
I am still here and I'm going to listen to it again and check out the album. Wow. This was beautiful and not at all boring. And the saxophone in the last part took it one notch higher. Creative and so talented. Two thumbs up!
Caligulas horse has a great mix of long and shorter songs. Amazing band havent dissapointed yet.
All the best prog epics are over 20 minutes long so I'm not sure why you would tap out at 15 minutes :P
Oh yeah, Caligula's Horse are amazing! Saw them live twice in France. The tightest band I ever seen live. They are so in time, every note is precise af
Yes!! Their first US tour was this year. Such professionals. 🙌 so grateful they keep writing and touring. Enjoy the shows!
This is one of my favorite songs of all time I've listened to it about 1000 times since it came out and I still get chills and occasionally tears, one of the best and most underrated bands out there you should definitely check out more of their catalog.
I would like to suggest you the song Bloom&Marigold from Caligula's Horse. Its Important to listen to the connected version. The transition is amazing. Have a nice one ;)
Man,the transition is really amazing...i never listen just one kkkk, its always bloom, and in next marigold
C-Horse are such talents. Young, full of energy and incredibly skilled. And they show it on their LPs and Live. Always a blast to see these dudes.
All hail Australia.
Yes! That's exactly how i like my prog rock! Perfect mix between Pink Floyd, Porcupine Tree, Dream Theatre, Anathema and Riverside. Huge WOW!
Your reaction @ 9:03 was perfect. Watching your reaction is the closest I get to hearing this song for the first time. Thank you for this experience!
My god, these guys have seriously developed since their first independent releases back in 2011, nice to be back in touch with Caligula's Horse, thanks Ruben and the suggester for getting me back on track!
It is so fun to see your reactions, to see the same awe that fans love so much. A couple occasions you had an open mouth smile which is the happiest kind. Caligula’s Horse makes me feel the same way.
Hey, just letting you know that Caligula's Horse gave you a shoutout on their Instagram story! Congrats, and great reaction too. Really looking forward to more of their stuff on your channel too.

My most favorite song of all time. No song outro can best this one
Your reaction is everybody on earth's reaction when experiencing Graves for the first time aha! So spot on
And insane to see live
This song gives me chills every time. Your reaction is beautiful! Great stuff
8:59 The rollercoaster starts...:)
This remains one of my favorite songs. I'm so glad you liked it Ruben!
Great song and they're fantastic live too
I was late to the party too getting into this band finding them last year. I was fortunate to catch them live in a sweaty rock club in Glasgow, Scotland where they played an intimate show to about 200 of us. They were simply incredible live , Jim's vocals were so constantly on point and his presence had us eating out of the palm of his hand. The band were so tight , I was blown away , especially by Sam's guitar work which whilst being as technical as Petrucci finds so much more emotion....IMO ... in the league of Gilmore or Rothery.. ... Basically, they are simply the dogs bollocks.... (I saw Dream Theater in a similar venue in Glasgow on the Images and Words tour in 93), and have long thought that my favourite Scottish gig, was my Caligulas Horse gig better... the very fact I'm asking myself that question..... ?!!... Wow.
They played this song live when i saw them in Gothenburgh in oktober. It was pure Magic.
Rivers of nihil - subtle change
Please do the architect by haken.
I discovered Caligulas Horse when I requested you reacted to the Promise Part 2 by Arcane and another commented the singer is now in this band. And now I see this one. It is an Epic. Such a wonderful trip.
One of my favorite tracks of all time.
Always loved C-Horse. They really put the songwriting at the forefront but still knock your socks off on occasion when they want to. I don't know their guitarists name but his tone and phrasing is to die for. They also write really good lyrics. Glad you checked this one out. I'd love to hear your opinion on the song "Dream the Dead" from them.

Listen Caligula's Horse - Into the White.
Amazing song. Please do this Ruben.
Absolutely!!
Vocally it’s a complete masterpiece. Can’t get enough!!
You should react to the opening song off this album Dream the Dead. It is just as amazing as Graves. Love your reactions my friend. You just gained another subscriber :D
You listened to a song by arcane a while back. Same singer.
Came here from Caligula's Horse's instagram story
Australia has so much good bands to offer:Calligulas horse, Butterfly Effect, Be Lacor, Ne Obliviscaris,....
Still missing from this list:
Butterfly Effect, a real big band in Australia, unknown in the rest of the world. Worlds on fire is a real good song. Rishloo reminds me sometimes on butterfly effect.
Not a band but you can also add Plini to the list
12 foot ninja, Karnivool, Circles, Opus of a machine...yep we know prog
Aquilus
Thornhill, The Dark Pool is a masterpiece!
It's amazing a basically no name band from Melbourne can produce such a profound piece of art.
From Brisbane! :D
Monumental tune
Btw, I'd love to see you react to some more Pain of Salvation. King of Loss is one of my personal favourite songs, highly recommended.
Know u did this video a while ago but I just saw them live their first time in the US at progpower last weekend. They were awesome live and played this song. Got to meet them also and they were really cool.
Every time this band has another album come out I always sleep on it for too long... this sounds great!
Tree-2-1 ;) This has become a catchphrase in my house. Keep reacting man. Always love your channel.
Beautiful piece of art, I'm really lost for words!
Been wanting to get into these guys for a while now. Thanks for the push!
What a discovery!
Wow, to be honest, I had heard a couple songs from Bloom but I wasn't too impressed up until this point. Marigold sounds like some kind of discount Opeth, like very similar to White Cluster. Their style in past albums had not resonated with me, but this I feel was on a whole new level. I will definitely give Caligula's Horse another chance.
If Pink Floyd put out this song it would be considered one of the greatest songs that they wrote. Yet, as they are a small Australian band 1 million people who would love it, will never get to hear it.
loved your reaction! this song is the bohemian rhapsody of prog metal! someone had mentioned them in a forum so i checked them out, turns out there from a place that is an hours drive from me! love all their albums and can’t wait to see them live this August for $25, what a bargain!! the singer has another band called Arcane, worth a listen too. if you guys haven’t heard much out of australia, you need to check out Karnivool, type in deadman, such an epic song! also other bands worth checking out are: Cog, the butterfly effect, dead letter circus, 12 foot ninja...that’s all i can think of now
Amazing masterpiece! Your reaction was also fucking on point...keep it up dude
Jack the joker -venus and mars please.
Attempt #54.
Damn...if you continue like this, i have to take this into my patreon wish list. 😊
The only problem I have with this song is that it is too short. Great review though. I subbed.
Nothing to do with this video, but I do have an Opeth suggestion. I did a quick search, and I don’t think you’ve done Advent. I particularly like the live version from the Royal Albert Hall concert.
i suggest Caligula's Horse - Will's Song (Let the Colours Run), you will like =]
We all get that awkward looking ‘orgasm face’ when listening to this song. Don’t feel bad. Brilliant song.
I'm new to your channel and I love this video. Not a patreon (yet), but a humble request to react to Inertia and the Weapon of the Wall + Cannon's Mouth live from Brisbane. Same album as Graves and you would really not regret it!
That was one hell of a gig...
Aisles - The Poet part 1 Dusk
Underrated band, react please!!!
listen and reaction to this 2song and being Surprise
React to Marduk- Throne of Rats live @ Wacken 2005
