I love how everyone is always so shooketh at D.O's voice. Baekhyun and Chen are vocal powerhouses but D.O just has the smoothest most dreamy voice. It's so weird. He's so soulful and agile also and I have no clue about vocal training and stuff but even I can tell.

Agreed! The others got TECHNIQUE and talent and skill. BUT D.O. is born with this vocal tone and quality that is not achieved by training but birth.
Exactly :) Baek‘s and Chen‘s voices are no joke and absolutely amazing .. but DO‘s voice is my favorite .. and also in whole kpop (followed by jooyoung :D) .. because his voice suits rnb so damn well and i love the sound of it 😍

I paused the video to comment chanyeol's funny moment and here is the very first comment. The funny thing is that it's not his first time; he always go "aaaaaaaa" whenever he doesn't know what to speak (in a award show, MC gave him the mic to speak and all he said was "aaaa") hahahaha
I love Chen and Baekhyuns voices, they are great..but when you said D.O had soul and a dream voice I lived! For me D.O is EXO's gem, his voice is so smooth and so soulful and amazing you should check out more of D.O!

Exo's vocals really are no joke. Another group whose vocals I think you would appreciate, and that you should check out is SHINee; they're from the same company as Exo and debuted in 2008, and they're almost always listed as one of the groups that sounds best live.
I agree, SHINee is great and very very talented and skilled, and i think a third one that is really up there is TVXQ (all five of them, i don't care that they split xD ), especially Changmin...i mean that guy can hit some high notes and an amazing singer for sure :D I never really liked SM as a company, but they sure know how to find the best singers out there ;)

Doesn't really need tho, because SM already have the best vocal coaches in KPOP industry. Maybe he can be vocal coach for other agency, like Bighit or other small ent. JYP focus on something like soulful singing and YG focus on unique voice where both doesnt focus on techniques that sometimes cause their singers to ruin their voice for example Bom of 2ne1. Thats why he's perfect for other agency's rather than in SM where technique are more important than other things,
I don't know if you have already found it, but the song you wanted to listen to is called "Drop That". But is mainly rap and electro music until the later part of the song which D.O will start, followed by a relatively high note by Baekhyun, and then Chen with that rock part you saw in this video.

unfortunately the cut where that video was from (Tokyo dome performance) has been taken down on yt :( you can find the full concert and look for drop that. Or you can search a different live with the same song but at a different concert.

Just saying, chanyeol might not open his mouth to pronounce some of the words properly because he just can't pronounce it like we do. English can be hard if its not your mother tongue, same for other languages. :)

i'm only a casual fan and he's not my bias, but d.o.'s smooth silky ass voice captivated me so much in tempo (his sentence in the second verse) that i literally watched the music video multiple times to figure out who was singing it.

Kyungsoo is my absolute favorite vocalist. His voice is so damn smooth and soulful, and whenever he starts singing I have to smile
I really wish we could get more raw vocals from EXO without any post-processing on them. They have some of the best singers in the industry and they don’t need the editing 😩

If you're interested in what I'm thinking...
1. I don't sing. I enjoy good vocals but I don't know much of the background. Somehow you'veade this entertaining even for people like me. You keep it simple enough that I can sort of follow along, but it's clear there's a lot of good knowledge and lessons here.
2. Your voice is amazing. The amount of practice to be able to both imitate what each singer is doing, and to demonstrate how they could make something better... just blows my mind.
3. You are really really good at listening and providing feedback. I really hope these videos are making your private tutoring lessons calendar explode.
Please keep doing this, I love it!

EXOs Acoustic Medley is a great raw representation of their live vocals. But the video is long, just a warning.
The crazy thing about EXO is that 1/4 of the original members have left- all of whom are Chinese. No matter how strong they were, or how good their vocals were, they left due to abuse by their label. Luhan, Kris, and Tao all sued SM entertainment and are now leading solo careers. The remaining 9 members are also strong, but for some reason haven’t faced as much difficulty with their label and being overworked. The last remaining Chinese member, Lay Yixing, was given his own personal studio in China after Luhan, Kris Wu, and Tao left the group and sued for their contracts. It’s almost like they don’t want to lose any more extremely talented members than they already have.
