Awaiting you in Jupiter, FL is an adventure of a lifetime: shark diving.
It's not commonly known, but Jupiter (a small town 90 miles north of Miami) is one of the best shark diving destinations in the world. They have it all: drift dives over deep coral reefs, a sequence of shipwrecks, and most importantly, sharks. Lots of them.
I'm talking silky sharks. Dusky sharks. Sand sharks. Sandbar sharks. Bull sharks. Blue sharks. Hammerhead sharks. And yes, even Tiger Sharks.
In fact, Jupiter serves as a popular destination for one Tiger Shark in particular. His name is Patrick, and he's basically a local as he comes into the waters offshore of Jupiter every year towards the end of spring.
We were fortunate enough to meet Patrick on our dive with Emerald Charters - a top-notch, no-nonsense dive operation based in Jupiter. You must be advanced and nitrox certified to participate.

I've done a lot of dives off Jupiter, and you don't need to chum the waters or mess with sharks nature to see them on every dive on this reef.

I am ging diving with EMERALD in October. How deep did you dive to see the sharks ? I was debating whether to do snorkelling or full diving. Also, did you buy a housing for the GoPro 9 ? Then bought the red filter ?

Not smart, but it’s your risk

Being born and raised right here and I am an avid diver. I use to do these dives. Not anymore. It is without a doubt 150% unethical.

I’ve heard both sides of the argument. Curious as to what your reasons are?

@@OceanWideExplorers thank you for the reply and taking the time to hear it. Growing up here in the 70's they had shark fishing tourneys. They were brought in by the droves, easily over 100 dead and many species / sizes. Thank goodness that has stopped! Add to that growing up fishing, we ate shark but now we know they are high in Mercury. Most importantly and great news is the laws have changed and now the FWC requires a shark license with a bag limit and certain species are protected. Sharks are essential for our seas. I shark dove to experience the beauty of them and learn about them. However, after doing it many times......it became apparent to me that they are being chummed up and hand fed. Wild animals are not to be fed. It messes up the natural order of any ecosystem. The same charter I saw in your videos has had many bites and even deaths.
(They say don't feed bears and such in the wild. The same should go for sharks.)
