Google Maps and navigation is already available for most countries- legal and technical difficulties are the only thing stopping them from expanding world-wide with EVERY service.
When google add offline GPS to smartphones, When google get into the caves,mountains, oceans etc, when google have the ability to give directions for bus,train,bicycles,cars For every country... Then i will be the most satisfied customer and consumer EVER. GREAT JOB GOOGLE. KEEP IT UP. WE SUPPORT YOU.
That's fine. Lower end stuff, just for playing music. lol I love the integration between android phones, tablets, gmail, Google accounts, etc. It's awesome.
With all these great technologies and features, I think it's about time to invent a new interface. One that is "multi-dimensional" and, of course, intuitive. Or improve the current one to achieve that.
What new maps application? Their Maps app has always had turn by turn on android. I think theyve only recently talked about adding it to their iOS app because i dont think Apple allows their default apps to be updated, i even think they designed it

I was walking on foot to a studio, was using Google map to guide me the whole time, it made me walk onto a freakin' highway and through a tunnel.. WTH Google map?!
Now if I could just get my google maps to work when my phone looses its signal. It's not that much data. I thought map 24 had a slippy map before google.
Ummm don't get me wrong I like Google's stuff. But... When the H are you guys going to give us loyal users the ability to use all Google's futures without limitation worldwide?

Google has such passion...... i wish other companies had that. people would ague Apple has, but its not the same. i guess we'll see when the two battle off this year with Apples mapping service which tbh i can not see being as comprehensive as google maps. google has been doing this for years, has 10s of services that just work. i hope Apple can bring something but it wont happen, not at the level as google is currently.

Sounds a little like a Photosynth (made by Microsoft and available for Bing) rip-off... But it looks like Google's version is going to be much cooler.
