  • Aitutaki (aka Paradise!) in the Cook Islands is the backdrop to an amazing 'Ika Mata' - a Marinated Raw Fish with Pineapple, Coconut and Guacamole dish. Here's my take on this recipe. Yum!

    Aitutaki, Cookislands.
    Rarotonga is one of the islands of the Cookislands. There are 15 islands in total - reason for the 15 stars on their flag.

    One of my all time favourite dishes, I love how Nadia went to the trouble to make her coconut milk from scratch. Yummy 😋

    Delicious I wanna make some today HHHHHHHH thanks.we Missed the islands way of making raw fish OTA IKA . exactly the same seasoning with salt n crushed pepper or fresh one ,onion tomato cucumber . cerely waooo ,onooooo

    It look yummy south of Burma and Thailand also make this kind of dish. with lots of chillies very hot .

    No, please no coconut water to make coconut milk, is like adding water to a glass of fine rum. Also is better to only add the lime right before eating it, tuna should not get cooked. You can thoug rest the tuna 10 min in cold water with salt.
    In Tahiti we do it with just tuna, cucumber, tomato, onion, coconut milk and lime, that look a bit too much greens
