I am LOVING your videos!!! They make me so happy! You’re such good fun to watch!! It’s also great to see someone with similar proportions to me, rocking the vintage style! It’s so inspiring! I really want this Gertie pattern now!! I did own it but (stupidly) swapped it! So I’m gonna have to buy it again!! Take care Jen! xx
One of my all time favorite patterns. I have hundreds of patterns (because I have a very serious problem lol) but I just keep making this one over and over because it is so flattering and cute and easy!
I just looked at your clothes on your website. Loved it. Cute top. I can't stop watching your channel your so interesting great personality 👌. Just getting into the vintage style. Having a blast.
You are so peppy, pretty and totally FUN to watch! I love all all of your vids but especially your sewing-related ones. And that top so you and cute as a button!
Oh, I wish I was as talented a seamstress as you, Jennifer! I'm nervous about wasting materials by practicing, but I guess it's inevitable that a project will turn out wonky. That's how we get better. The top is so cute! I think even a beginner like myself could give it a try. :) And I count it as completed in 4 hours; it would have been 100% complete if all the requisite materials were planned and on hand.
IT's so clever knowing how to sew and pattern cut! i cant! we've got a programme in the UK called the sewing bee, where home sewers enter a competition which runs several weeks and have to make all kinds of fancy and complicated things. the judges are a Saville Row Tailor, and a teacher from one of the London fashion colleges. the saville row tailor is a FOX. anyway, i really enjoyed the vid and if you do remake it please show us the finished article!
The top turned out so pretty, I love love it! Yes, you can make a top in 4 hours. I think you should have started the clock after you picked out the fabric & supplies as that time took away from your sewing time. This was super fun to watch btw!❤️
That print is so cute butttttt you can make a rectangle wrap blouse in 2 hours ( perhaps the next challenge lol) had to knock one up and it was so quick!!
I can totally relate to the indecision! I can sit for HOURS in my sewing room going back and forth between patterns and fabrics, pairing them up and then changing my mind and pairing them off in a different way. Unlike you though, it usually results in me giving up and opting to play with my cat instead. LOL! But man, I can't tell you how much anxiety I get from people cutting their pattern tissue! Not tracing out a pattern just stresses me out!
Lmao!! We basically have the same selection of patterns, Jen! But I wish I could store my patterns in little boxes (mine are in a large file cabinet haha) You're sooooo much fun to watch, hence why I subbed and just
I'm not sure why your video popped up but I really enjoyed this and subscribed to your channel. It's New Year's Eve 2019 and one of my goals is to stop the makeup influencer channels and just go for entertainment and education so THANK YOU AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I think you look gorgeous with it untucked! I must get this pattern! If I do, I'll tag you with my video link. This is such a pretty shirt, you've inspired me! OOOHH! I commented before I heard the challenge! I might do it even though you didn't tag me; I'm totally fine with butting my way in!
I wish I could make a top that quickly 😭 at the moment I'm making a self drafted elasticated top (thought it would be quick). Been at it for 1.5 days and it still has pins in it.
I think the challenge should exclude time for mis-en-place. You should have your fabric and notions and pattern picked out and ready to go before you start the clock! That would be more fair, because it isn't a stash challenge it is a construction challenge.
I love that pattern, and you got the sweet heart neckline point sewed perfectly. The first time I made it a Muslim size 24 in stretch knit just to see if it would fit me! It did🙂 but I needed to add length to the mid-drift & bust because I have big boobies and a long torso🤗
I'm so sad I can barely hear what you're saying even though i have the volume on my laptop turned all the way up! Other youtubers videos I've watched have been fine...your videos are always quieter than theirs but this one seems extra quiet :(
To me, fabric/notion selection does not count as part of the 4 hours :) Congrats, it turned out so cute!!

I am right there with you and the pattern collection problem...but really its only a problem if you run out of storage room. lol ❤️
I adore this video. I still carry ur knowledge of buying more than 2 yards and that was been great advice I carry today😍
I LOVE that neckline! So cool that you could use the buttons a friend sent. Makes it extra special. Love your videos!

Love that neckline, super pretty!

I think it’s a win. Well done!
I'm rooting for you and talking to you like it's a live stream... because I'm broken. Send help.
Yes! Because you didn't even get started on the cutting/sewing until 12:30 or 1 maybe. (PS I also store things in my hair ALL THE TIME. )

Gurrrrrrl this came out so cute! I love those little pink buttons so much! (Also, your nail game is fierce!)
I'm impressed. I might be able to make a pattern I've already fitted in 4 hours, but straight out of the envelope, bravo.
This shirt is adorable

EmilyHops * Monat Market Partner Jen would love the Great British Sewing Bee!
@@7arboreal i wonder if its available over there to watch, maybe on netflix or something? I might investiagte!
I recently had a similar measurement issue with a dress I was making for my daughter. Great job! I love it tucked in. So cute!
It came out so well.I'm going to make something with that neck line.
Yours looked so good.

The colour and pattern is just amazeballs 👏👏💖
Will you be making any more sewalong videos for so sew vintage, I really miss them!?
As always, you're such a hoot! So real and honest. Love watching. So no e to see I'm not the only one who has to take the pattern back together!
That print is so cute! It looks wonderful on you! You're so inspiring.
Love your vintage pattern selections. So cool! Love your videos!
Hi super cute but I agree with some of the other posts, I wouldn’t count picking fabric/ notions don’t count in the 4 hours... but awesome!! And cute!
Omg that neckline is gorgeous ur brave anytime I have a time limit I start making rookie mistakes.
I love the top!!!!! And you did it in 4 hours! Great job 👍
Great video! Cute cute fabric ❤️
That top turned out so cute!!! I have that fabric and can’t wait to sew it now that I’ve seen how nice it looks made up!!
I really like when you sew.
What an amazing challenge. You did a great job. And I might have to give this a go myself
I'm new to your channel and really enjoying your energy! Plus that top looks so good!
Yay...thanks! I'm super excited to be back making weekly content again. :D
That print is so cute butttttt you can make a rectangle wrap blouse in 2 hours ( perhaps the next challenge lol) had to knock one up and it was so quick!!
Delightful! Both you and the top are wonderful. Well done 🤗
It turned out so cute! 💖

Love your glasses!
Would you consider doing a video about following patterns?
This came out super cute!! I love it! 💗💗💗
Lmao!! We basically have the same selection of patterns, Jen! But I wish I could store my patterns in little boxes (mine are in a large file cabinet haha) You're sooooo much fun to watch, hence why I subbed and just
I also have almost all those patterns lol :)
Amazing! I have the other top pattern and I've cut out all of the pieces but haven't bothered sewing any of it yet!
Gorgeous!! I am having trouble with sewing the center seam. Is it possible to see the inner part?
I can't post pictures in the comments unfortunately. Are you having issues with the center seam at the bust or in the back?
@@JenniferElise front center seam, it is a bear lol

Yay...I'm so happy I popped up in your feed! :D
Love this!
Love watching you
Love your blouse.
Love it with your skirt and think it would be great with pants. Thanks
That top is so adorbs! I need more tops like that 😍 x
You gave m× an idea. I have a dress that was 2 years ago. I think I'll challenge myself.
So cute!
Well done my lovely! X x x
I think you should redo this challenge. I wouldn't start counting until after the pattern is cut out. I think you succeeded ❤

What is the pattern number used for the dolman sleeves?
well done Jen! I have the same shape as you and make the same adjustments to my patterns :)
But you do have a wearable muslin. I also have this pattern, and have not attempted it yet. It's on the To Do.
Gorgeous
Soooo cute!!
Where did you purchase your notions container?
I wish I could make a top that quickly 😭 at the moment I'm making a self drafted elasticated top (thought it would be quick). Been at it for 1.5 days and it still has pins in it.
Also I ran out of elastic thread so it's now a pendulum. Was going to be a play suit
I like how the top came out. I'm not sure that I would be able to do a top in 4 hours.
Well done :) And yes, it is a handy place to store things :D
Impressive!
This was fun😊
Those glasses tho 😍
Do you think the ease in the waist is different to the bust? It lists something like 5" ease on the pattern, but doesn't list a waist measurement :(
LOVE IT!

Sound like me when I wad rushing to finish my dress for Viva..... oh Mr. Frankenstein!
I store stuff in my hair too...paintbrushes, pencils etc.
Almost bought that pattern this weekend, but the buttons scared me off.
I don't sew....what is a musslen?
Vanessa Mendez It’s a trial run made in muslin fabric, or some other inexpensive fabric so you don’t waste the good stuff if it doesn’t fit.
Kimi Babbitt oh cool ty for letting me know.
So... I watched this video a few days ago. Went to joanns yesterday and ended up with these tops patterns. Subliminal messaging, anyone? 😅
tee hee hee...you'll have to let me know how it goes for you!
