I can't express how much this helped. Ive been struggling so bad and the points you made were just perfect and brought me so much comfort. Thank you so so much ❤️ :')
Hey! This video is full of wisdom. I'm amazed by how it resembles my latest reflections. It's great to stumble upon your channel. Gotta love these little universe syncs. :D
+wau7 Meditation can help. Start becoming more mindful and this will lead to insight. It's harder to smoke when you you're not ignoring the fact that it stinks, it's hurting you and it makes you feel like crap more than anything else. But you need to be patient, this happens slowly. If you can meditate, maybe replace the habit with another one and utterly distract yourself when you have urges. Good luck
+wau7 Great question (and thanks to Meditation Online for contributing). Similar to anything you might want to let go of, I find it's important to recognize that it isn't serving you and, especially if it DOES serve you in some areas, what can you move into to replace it? So, for example, you can do a mini meditation while you smoke. How does it feel in your lungs, what do you picture happening to your lungs (i.e. blackening, choking, becoming covered in tar)? Do you feel it dehydrating you, or your tummy being irritated, or breath feeling wheezy or phlegmy, or getting headachy? notice that and then imagine how beautiful and pink and fresh your lungs could be. What health might feel like in your body. Imagine your body filled with light and health. It will probably also be helpful to replace the physical habit. Notice in your body where you physically crave it. Do your hands get antsy or mouth and jaw tense? I find shelled sunflower seeds can help keep both busy. If your back feels tense, maybe see about massages, hot showers that you allow to run over you back for a while, or try breathing that expands your back to relax it. Does that help?
+wau7 One more thing, its good to identify what purpose smoking HAS served too. Do you feel more at ease socially? Does it help with boredom? Does it help with anxiety? Find the root and brainstorm some other ways you can improve these areas without smoking too.
hey, I really appreciate these videos in my introduction to none psychedelic related altered consciousness Meditations. the problem I'm finding is getting to a point of letting go of the experience I'm seeking, because I get to where it pulls me out of the meditation when I'm focusing on the meditation so hard. help!
I think the biggest thing is just to allow yourself the space to notice and acknowledge that is something that happens - and then keep returning your focus to the object of meditation. With time, you might experience of the being too focused on the act of meditating. Or another strategy could be to try sending the body. Often, attempting to "be with" sensation in the body as it is can really help. Body scans can really help with this as an option. Otherwise one MORE thing to take note of is HOW these distractions aide (I.e. Thoughts, images, feelings, impulses, etc.) an just acknowledge/label that as a way of knowing yourself - and then move attention back to the focus of meditation again. Does that help?
+Kernel of Wisdom - Guided Mindfulness Meditations & Teachings yes it does, its good base to start on, completely understanding what you mean. it's just gonna take time to put it in practice, I think I'm struggling so much cause I've such profound experiences in the past that it's hard to detach those pre conception and be fluid with the thoughts again.
in the battle between the conscious and the subconscious mind, the subconscious always wins. So no conscious method will work, in the end. The solution is to apply what you said in your video about listening to other people to yourself. Listening to yourself, your subconscious will appear, and then begins the long process of letting go into your subconscious. Allow a few years for this.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Good health , wealth and happiness to all.💗
All your videos are so encouraging, thanks allot.
