LEGENDS!!! I'm in the US so I'll have to continue using my own shitbox trailers to go pick up my own shitboxes - but thanks for reminding me - I need a new pair of sunnies !!! Time to hit the MCM store!
Fair play, I got an answer from the MCM Sales. I can not win the trailer but I will purchase something and whatever comes out of that, will be good enough for me. / Love Risto from Germany. Love your work, keep it up. Love.
I literally just sold my race car and a few months ago my farm car (Syd to Mudgee)... I couldn't go where they would go with me :( I'm sure there's people who deserve something like this more than me.... but there is no person that would use it more than me! We love you guys, and I'd love this to go to someone who would use it all the time!
It is an awesome design. Fortunate in the US u-haul rents flat tow trailers with that feature. Just have to remember to put it down BEFORE driving up the trailer
I started to bug my eyes out of my skull when Moog said "...and we will get that trailer to you... Anywhere you are..." and I'm thinking "HOW?! That's gotta be impossibly expensive." And then he said "...in the country," and my dreams were dashed and my whole life completely fell apart. 🤣 But I knew it couldn't be true anyway. :)
I've made a few so far, increasingly bigger for the bigger things i've needed to move and if there's one thing above all that stands, it's this: sketch the accepted, rated trailer of your needs, then multiply everything by 20%. You will have caveats like fuel loss, but you'll never sit on the side of the road contemplating your life choices - well, unless you run out of fuel, but that's small on the grand scheme of things. Gussets, solid welding, layering, proper suspension, proper layout, proper materials. The less you skimp, the more you uprate, the better the end product and the more you'll have it pay you back.
Looks great. One thing i would add is a Solar Panel and charge controller so when its not being used it keeps its charge but does not get over charged. Also maybe a inverter to power 240v stuff built into the box.
We had a locally made landscaping trailer for work. Thing was brilliant. Once hit a 20 cubic yard dumpster. (about the size of a school bus) the Dumpster moved. trailer was fine.
I love how Marty has morphed into a fabricator over the years, he may have been that even before MCM but with the help of Turbo Yoda and good ole Benny, those skills have been refined and keep doing so, bloody fantastic guys from home garage to Super Garage.
Amazing giveaway guys! One of the main reasons why I had to sell my project cars was because I couldn't afford to keep having them transported when I moved house - a trailer would have saved so much money! Brilliant design too - looks like a track day rig!
That's a mighty trailer indeed. You blokes have been entertaining lots of folks for ages now. MCM seems to have all the secret herbs and spices. Thanks gents for bringing smiles to many, and also for not featuring a Jazz, prices for those things are already through the roof.
I've been wondering for YEARS when you two were going to get a car trailer. Well done. I'm at the bribing of the video as I write this but I'm confident you'll get something good.
That is an epic trailer! I was thinking it was heavier than you guys needed with your love for smaller Japanese cars, but it all made sense at the end.
Hey Marty, one of the best bits of advice for welding, might or tig… Try to always weld from uncomfortable to comfortable. It will greatly help with the overall consistency of your finished product. You’ll be surprised how bunch this little tip helps. Especially on longer runs or tight positions.

I got my Subaru Liberty Gen 4 towbar installed here! Great work 100% recommend. Had to go back a couple of days later because my shifter broke trying to get the towball off for my bike rack and I told them I can't get the towball off! "No worries mate" They said, "Go down the back there and tell em you need ya ball snapped" .. The story has a happy ending, my ball got snapped by a professional and I walked away smiling. Also the cafe across the road does a Maaad bacon egg and cheese burger
Epic looking trailer and design :) - Glad there are places with all the kit (do miss aussie) The thing i learnt there is a reason you buy aluminum built trailers they are just as strong and weigh so much less (if needed you can put a thin steel sheet down if you have to drag shit onto it), yes might be more expensive but in the long run you save on gas and easier to tow / don't rust - Reality do whats right for you and remember to actually practice driving with it, towing a car on a steel trailer is a lot different to having a load of dirt etc and remember your tow vehicle will have a weight limit too which is a lot lower than you probably think, know your braking distance
Shout out to the camera person - really enjoying the shots in this one - some really great angles and lighting happening, currently only 5 minutes in, and felt the need to comment
That trailer is the best thing I've seen. Looks like everything has been thought of with so many little details. I'd enter the competition but I have no need for a car trailer - if my Subie breaks down, I don't have another car to tow it with anyway! I wouldn't mind a motorcycle trailer however, to take my motorcycle down to Philip Island for track days! Now that's a competition I'd enter. Best of luck to all who enter and congrats to whoever wins it!
This would be perfect! Just got a tow car and am saving up for a trailer. As a subaru owner it would help me get my car to and from track days knowing i can thrash the car and not worry about getting stranded at the track. As soon as i saw this in entred. I hope the winner uses this trailer and it does not just sit parked in a driveway or sold. I could not think of anything more perfect for my situation!
Awesome stuff guys Looks like a well thought out trailer. Honestly a bit disappointing you guys didn’t get it galvanised but. It’s going to rust from the inside out within a few years.. I work for Felk trailers up in Newcastle this stuff is my jam! If you guys need anything trailer related hit me up 🎉
Having built dozens of tailers over the years, it interesting to see different designs for them. that would not be the design I would have built here in the states. We also use uncoated steal in ours. It is very interesting to see.
Foreign viewer, so I can't win the trailer, but it was great to see some manufacturing places local to you all! We used to have some Amada lasers like the one in your video where I work but switched brands a while back. The Amada Ensis makes a lot of sense for a company that would need to cut both sheet and tube materials. Our newest lasers are so fast it is almost ridiculous on thinner steel (less than 1/4 inch) and still very impressive on 1 inch plus steel!
Could be the video but it looks quite high. Ive never see a trailer with ramp holders like that before normally they are all flat decks. Looks awesome and I've already purchased the pack.🤞
I have a question, those wheels, have they got to be weight rated for the capacity of the trailer? I don't know if it's still a thing, but in Qld you "technically" had to have weight rated wheels and tyres on a commercial vehicle (ie. Vans and utes).
Dammit!! I and a couple of friends are thinking of getting a rusty nugget to play around in some tracks near us, this would have been perfect to carry a non road legal car around, but I live in Spain soo...
A couple of things to note boys: 1/ In most states of Australia you can't just make your own trailer easily any more. In NSW every trailer must have a VIN, and they've made that process difficult for home builders to complete. Support your local trailer shops! 2/ Check out the guys at Elec Brakes. They make a mad wireless brake control unit that makes it super easy when switching tow vehicles often. I've been using one for a while when we hire caravans for our holidays
@@YOEL_44 The electric brake systems work surprisingly well, you can do stability control as well as breakaway braking and dynamic brake loading ( the signal to begin braking is binary but the controller varies signal strength based on vehicle behaviour) or you can set a strength level on the fly. Mechanical trailer brakes can have a lot of issues if they aren't setup correctly, become seized, they can oscillate etc
@@Aspire198 They must have some possitives if they're the preferred option for trailers, but making them wireless cannot be a good idea. @@YOEL_44 oh for sure, I've heard in freight train applications they've tried wireless electronic brake control and have had comms issues resulting in trains derailing, breaking couplings and running away.
PLEASE MOOG, realease this song that starts playing at 6:40, i have been listening to it in the videos since the e30 build and could never find it. Im sure its one of your bangers, bless us with another great song
You can win this ultimate MCM car trailer worth over $20,000! Check out all the details here mightycarmods.com/products/trailer-giveaway-competition
Love how you both outright LIED!
We will never become a giveaway channel.
We will never follow the other channels that do this.

That hinged mud guard is brilliant
100% agree, amount of time i've bunged my door getting in and out. Probably start seeing this on a heap of trailer designs now.
It is an awesome design. Fortunate in the US u-haul rents flat tow trailers with that feature. Just have to remember to put it down BEFORE driving up the trailer
@@ecorp2120 yeah, I've fallen for that trap.
Agreed, I wish my trailer had that, like the U-Haul do. But even on my lowest cars, my fender is still clear of the door, so I guess I'm okay.
Why don't they leave it in the down position all the time out of curiosity? Is it suspension travel?
This was definitely main mcm channel worthy. Great videos yall!
Maybe we'll get a disrespected nose of the build on the main? who knows ;)
Better video than a tonne of videos on the main channel.
Eh. If they were planning on using it themselves, yeah, but this was made for a giveaway
@@Dave1507 disrespected nose style is my favorite
It's really good to see you guys promoting Australian manufacturers.
Also: Marty!
When will MCM trailers be available in the merch shop
You only buy Cheryl’s box trailer at this stage until they update the web store.
And shipped worldwide haha ;)
Carasel can make you one!
Thanks carassel, that's some mint as manufacturing!
Awesome to see Marty getting to weld on the trailer. I’m just starting my first welding class. Such a fun skill to grow.

MARTIN! It's good to see you're less stuffed and got your voice back.

Anderson plug handles that on the tow vehicle

trailer was fine.
I've heard Moog say lots of things over the years but "my mum's box" almost gave me whiplash.
Great trailer. Love it. Hinged mud guard in genius. Need some sort of folding camper to slide on it

If you put a pully on de tire rack, lead the winge over it to lift engines out on location. You would have a mobile workshop

it helps to brace your hip to a solid object and one of your elbows to your waist or hip on the other side when welding
