    Great song choice for battery time lapses.
    The GH4 is a great camera, I have been using it more than my a7s.

    Thank you Will for these tests, I wish there would be more testers or reviewers who do such comprehensive work for the consumers. Keep up the fine work, much appreciated.

    Wow Will, I can't believe all the work that you did to bring us this awesome review of the Panasonic GH4. Excellent! Panasonic should reimburse you for what you pay, at least, for the camera and the lenses.

    its stops recording after 30 minutes right will it automatically start a new video or do i have to get up and press record again?

    Hey man. What's the recording limit on this camera. Other cameras I know of is like 25 to 30 minutes and then it stops

    Great effort. Thanks. One question though, the GH4 (UK model) at my work seems to have a 29m 59s limit in avchd, or 27 something in mp4. How come you can record a lot for hours? Do I need to keep pressing record every half hour?

    • @_xaem_
      @_xaem_ 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      European models are limited to ~30min recording time. Later they released the GH4R which can record longer and also got the V-Log L from the beginning.

    About to pick up a GH4 for $350 with a speed bones adapter, canon 50mm 1.8 and some other extra goodies, for $300!! So excited to get into video. I'd rather save and get the GH4 instead of the GH5, on top of building videography skills with a "lesser" device until I build some momentum. Currently shooting photography on a Nikon D200 and D800.

    I wonder how long it would take for the batteries to be fully charged from a dead state. With a full day shoot, is it possible to do it with just two batteries charging one while the other is working?

  • @mopkrayz

    great video. for people in europe it might be hard to find Wasabi batteries. I had to buy the Patona Premium ones, as the options are very limited

    this is a very nice and useful test, but there is a little misstake, a panasonic genuine battery cost around 60/70$ not 45...
    just a question, why does the second battery have a different energy time then the first one?

    Awesome video! I subscribed! I am doing similar tests right now with the EZO power batteries vs. the genuine Panasonic one. One thing though is when you do not use the cameras LCD display you get significantly more battery life. In my tests I am comparing the times that the batteries will last with the LCD open vs. the LCD screen closed. I will have the results on that up in a video by some point this weekend.

    Hi Will, off record.. how can I copy files from the GH4 on windows.
    I happen to format and then I found out I can't manage to access the card on windows 7(old mac yes). Do you know how can we copy the files? Thanks!

    Yeah! I got 4x dtse for my gh3's 3x for my gf5 3 big sony's and 2 dtse for gopro haha. Never tested how long they last because I have enough of them.
    The sound/sdi module for the gh4 need external power. It is not a battery grip :)

    Does Variable frame rate mode in the GH4's 24hz system frequency record 96fps record exactly 96fps? Or does it record 95.9 fps?
    Thanks for the great video.

    Does the DTSE battery grip work with the GH4? I read some threads suggesting that it didn't, but don't recall if you mention this in your video.

  • @jonathanpaparas8937
    @jonathanpaparas8937 10 ปีที่แล้ว

    Great Video! I have the GH4 is wonderful, battery life is incredible! What kind of lens you recommend? You know that the gh4 crop 2x the image.. is 85mm len necessary? It convert in a tele.. Lens like 14mm in a full frame looks like fish eye, in gh4 cropping twice, looks like fish eye or not?

    • @jonathanpaparas8937
      @jonathanpaparas8937 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks, So I will think, maybe a 16mm its a good option. But Have you see that if you record in 4k crop is less than 1080, the difference is significant. So for that reason, maybe 16mm in 4k yes shows like fisheye, in 1080 not. could be?

    • @jonathanpaparas8937
